  1. Isn't Lift already an Edgedancer? Or am I thinking of something else?
  2. I actually think octopi and stuff like that would be easier to make, if maybe more exotic.
  3. My name is not Kenneth, and the frequency is one cycle every three nanoyears.
  4. Actually, I forgot to finish my thought. The second part was that he wouldn't write the backstory for it and then not make it important. I apologize for the confusion.
  5. I mistyped. I meant happy obligator.
  6. The Master has similar powers.
  7. I concur full heartedly.
  8. When you make up an Epic and use it for your 17S username.
  9. The Doctor can regenerate. If he spends too much time alone, he goes dark. He can make things bigger on the inside, has psychic powers like mind melds, and has incredible technological abilities. Conclusion: he's an Epic. Maybe one that has conquered his fear, or in between somewhere. Thoughts?
  10. I see that though you read, you do not understand. You read about what Szeth did, and you can only see the Truthless of Shinovar. We read about what Szeth did, and we hear the screams of those who he kills, even those he killed in the past. He blames those who he killed for getting in his way, for making him kill them. He is definitely misguided, anyone who believes different should not be trusted with sharp objects or in charge of important decisions.
  11. But where did he get Yolen? Oh, my mistake. The happy inquisitor.
  12. So now I know what Hoid does on his day off...
  13. Wait. YOMENd?!? I don't know what this means, but I don't think it's a simple Easter Egg.
  14. Well. I picked the name Stormgate after an Epic I created with high weather control powers. With my profile pic, I want it to be a picture of Stormgate, and put things in motion to hopefully get a picture made. I live in whichever time zone Utah is in. I have mild opinions about bacon, I will eat it, but it's like an apple. I will eat it if it's there. Avocados are of Odium. With the upvote situation, I'd like to thank a meme I made and posted on Sanderson Memes. Actually, I got a lot of upvotes from that. With having 300+, I am proud of the number, but I am temporarily dissatisfied with being a Bloodsealer. I don't want to be an albino who had skeleton warriors. And now for the final question. I am very unusual, and to increase that, I have learned to redefine strange. I never really expect anything, especially with this. Thank you for making this an interesting response.
  15. He has Feruchemy, and we still don't know how someone gets that. Maybe he split the bead, forged the half-bead with atium, and got Feruchemy.
  16. One, I don't understand that post. Two, I am talking about possibility. With sea animals, it would make an interesting option that some kandra, TenSoon possibly foremost among them. I think Sanderson could have some fun with a kandra in an aquarium.
  17. I don't think Sanderson would write an entire book (Warbreaker) to explain the backstory of a worldhopping, Investiture-devouring, sentient sword.
  18. I am sorry, I don't know where I got it. It is mostly a conglomerate of everything I know, the number of sentient spren increased after the Shattering of Honor, being chief among them. There were obviously Radiantspren before the Splintering, but not as many. The bond between Seon and the human they are bonded to would be treated like a Nahel bond on Roshar, leading to the logical conclusion that most of the Radiantspren, if not all of them, are Splinters of Honor, perhaps deliberately Splintered, in some cases. However, my initial conclusions lead to the conclusion that, for Honor to be restored, Syl will have to, as we know it, die. The Stormfather calls Syl daughter, indicating the possibility that she is a Recreance spren. I don't like this conclusion, and I prefer to think that Kaladin's oaths, including the unofficial one promising to never kill Syl again, would prevent Kaladin from sacrificing her.
  19. Szeth isn't a bad person, he was simply mistaken. It's like Vivenna helping Denth start a war, not knowing that it was wrong. In fact, Szeth constantly sufferers internally for killing people, sacrificing his personal code of ethics for the law he was subjected to. The law was wrong, but so was Denth.
  20. I would be neutral to it, because I think a healthy argument can be fun, and proving how Disney is not the representative of an entire genre is fun. I would probably lean towards simply turning it into a Sanderson book sales pitch, but hey, I'm posting on the 17th Shard on a regular basis. I probably enjoy his books.
  21. The pure metal pulls, and the alloy pushes. The metal the base metal is alloyed with doesn't effect the power in the way that addition does (bronze is an alloy of copper and zinc, but you don't get the powers of a Smoker and a Rioter. If you are confused about how burning metal brings investiture, read Elantris. The Aons they draw work in a similar way, but the metal is internal.
  22. I propose that they don't regard the metal as part of themselves, similar to us regarding a hammer. Theirs is more useful, but I would feel similar connection to the metal that gave me power.
  23. The Emperor's Soul isn't really a sequel, since the countries that play a large part of the events in Elantris are refered to in passing at best. I'll just take what I can get.
  24. Are you kidding? I could make a theory based on the way Brandon Sanderson regards a block of cheese. This WoB indicates that duralumin storing is necessary, or at least helpful, in hacking magic systems. It's conceivable that by using this method, Hoid could gain access to AonDor, Forgery, ChayShan, Dakhor, and any other varieties of Selish magic, since it is likely connection to a country that is the initial factor in whether or not you can access a magic system.
