Not necessarily. We know that the spiritual realm holds connections between people. It seems logical that these connections would depend on interactions between those people (or people and objects, people and places etc.) It doesn't seen farfetched to me that positive interactions and negative interactions would create (or reinforce/influence) different types of connection. So Aon Kii could determine guilt by detecting negative spiritual connections. And to counter the Nightblood parallel: however incredible and powerful it(he?) turned out, Nightblood is still a creation of two people who basically didn't know what in damnation they were doing. There is also a difference between evil and guilt. Evil is a motivation for an action, guilt is whether or not one performed said action.

Random Cosmere Questions
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to Matrim Bloody Cauthon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The Silver kingdom Natanatan was located on the shattered plains, so it is unlikely that it still exists. There is a city on modern Roshar called New Natanan, named after the original Silver kingdom, but it is not itself a nation.- 29 replies

How much did Preservation actually predict?
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to Edgedancer's topic in Mistborn
The one that tried to stop Vin from releasing Ruin was the Mist Spirit. While it is true that the Mist Spirit was actually Preservation, he was basically out of his mind at that time. Most of his mind had been turned into Ruin's prison so the Mist Spirit might not have realized/remembered that releasing Ruin was part of the plan. The prediction might have been intentionally left vague, since Preservation knew Ruin would mess with it anyway, a more specificity wouldn't have mattered. A vague prediction would have actually had a better chance at surviving in a form that might actually be useful.- 22 replies

Identical twins
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to Full Metal Rithmatist's topic in Cosmere Discussion
That depends on how nicrominds work, a question that has been consistently RAFO'd. I think it likely that a full feruchemist could move the charge from another metalmind to a nicromind and vice versa. But the other metalminds are a necessary step in either direction. -

The eagle's nest
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to Eagle of the Forest Path's topic in Creator's Corner
So there's enough to post a second part of The Oracle (working title) now. And the shameless copying of Brandon Sanderson continues with another set of annotations! (I really hope that doesn't happen in the story itself) Hoping to read your thoughts, opinions or critiques soon! -
Facepalm-worthy Moments during Readings
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to Patrick Star's topic in Stormlight Archive
It's going to take a thousand years for the Stormlight Archive to be finished so the cosmere can move on to the second galactic empire? -
Yata's actually talking about another WoB (which I can't find again either btw curses!) but it basically says that Elend has more powerful allomancy than Vin because he can burn his metals faster. There's also another one that says the amount of power you can get from a piece of metal is constant.

Facepalm-worthy Moments during Readings

The moment I finally realised that Taravangian is Hari Seldon and the Diagram is psychohistory. And this won't make any sense unless you've read Isaac Asimov. -
Kaladin experienced Death Rattle
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to Oversleep's topic in Stormlight Archive
Or maybe that bridge 2 casualty was actually the one that had the death rattle. And it was about Kaladin recovering from the highstorm, and what Kaladin experiences is a weird kind of feedback. -
The eagle's nest
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to Eagle of the Forest Path's topic in Creator's Corner
I haven't been writing all that long, so it hasn't happened to me yet. But if it did, I'd probably write the scene in my head immediately. If I waited for the story to progress to that point first, I'd be afraid that I'd have forgotten half the scene I had in mind by the time I got there. So I'd write the good scene first and then try to fill in the gap between the two pieces of the story. If needed (i.e. if it doesn't fit anymore), you can always change the scene when the gap is filled. Thanks for the support. Yeah, I believe that The Oracle has the most potential. I've seen moving cities before (we probably all have), but those are usually magical, so I wanted to try doing it the 'natural' way. Let's hope it works out for them. The world is kind of set (just fill in the details, but the basic idea is there), now I just have to find a decent story to tell in there. You could do some fun things with the 'gearings' system, so I'd like to return to them at one point, if only for a short story. But first something has to click in my head for it to work as a magic system. Inque magics could actually do some pretty flashy things too, but I wouldn't want to spoil anything. I'll just say that most in-world people see it as super talents, but they're slightly mistaken. What Selmund's skincrest actually does is a sort of mind reading for instance. For The Oracle, I actually haven't decided yet if precognition will be the (main) magic of the world. I mostly saw it as something unique that Nisab can do, but I reserve the right to change my mind on that. Whatever I decide, there won't be any fireballs in there for certain. Thank you for the feedback. As my first reader, I must listen to you and will focus my attentions on continuing The Oracle. There's already a part of the next installment, but not enough to post yet. -
Gamera was a giant turtle that could breathe fire and fly by retracting into its shell and breaking wind, not a dinosaur.

Gift of Bones ( One of my shorter book ideas)
Eagle of the Forest Path replied to bobsaveg's topic in Creator's Corner
Hmm, that's troublesome. At what point of replacing broken bones with wooden stand-ins does the original set of bones cease to be the shifter's real body? -
