"Upending an Entire Mercantile Ecosystem"
Yata replied to Obnoxiousspren's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The Well didn't react well to Hemalurgy. It's possible the Black Lake didn't react well to a powerful Allomancy. We saw only the effect on small sacks of Investiture (the Crystals)...but the reaction of the Perpendicularity will be greater and greater.(like the different reaction of the Mists and the Well) -
I think Kelsier will be a different being from the one we remember. His Soul is now purelly Preservation's Power, He lived 300 years as a Cognitive being and he is the core of one fertile religion. His own nature will change. To me now Kel is more the Survivor than the old Kel we knowed

"Upending an Entire Mercantile Ecosystem"

@Calderis I have the strong opposite feel. The worldhoppers reached the Black Lake itself to worldhop ad they arrived in a Place with a dock-like envirorment. The geode will not provide enough Investiture to bend the Realms -
There is also the relevant amount he needs to burn for Compound
-
I always thought the Unmades as Active for centuries. The Thrill is something built into Alethi's society not some late addiction.
-
Purelake's "plague" is simply cold arrived on Roshar thanks to some worldhoppers.
-
The second. Ruin's Power was stolen once. The Atium you see It's always that stolen Power. Once burned It Will return to the Pits and spawn again as Atium over time. Ruin didn't recovered his Power at his release. He spent all book 3 searching the Atium to regain his Power. It's possible he already assimilated some Atium but nothing really relevant for a Shard-level being

Taln seems "less Taln" also with his Honorblade. And the other Heralds are not "less Heralds" without their Honorblade's.

Where does Chana=Liss come from ?

If the Kandra gained ability with Hemalurgy it will be still easier to control. Regardless of the method the Kandra used for his/her abilities it would still weak mostly to the same TLR's weakness. If someone pull out his Spikes He would pratically "die" (become mindless is quite the same thing). Of course if both The Kandrageddon and the Enemy has access to the whole Mistborn's ability the fight could be really fast. The Enemy could leech away the Kandra's metals and then control him. Or a team up of Leecher and Rioter could do the same.

Good to know, I didn't read that and I don't want to open the spoiler, but I am glad we could progress into Theorycrafting

Lol in this way seems It's a idea of mine XD Anyway It is One of that WoB hard to find...I have to check in Pagerunner's collection but I am not really too hopeful

Actually that is only a way to become a Sliver (the only sure One). In theory every huge amount of Investiture could turn you into a Sliver. So It's possible the Honorblades' use over time turn the Heralds into Honor's Slivers. It could be also part of the reason they becomed Cognitive Shadows (by Honor's design). As a Dead Sliver could always remain in the Realms as Cognitive Shadow

Thanatos is right, the BoM are Simply an unsealed Nicrosolmind plus several Unkeyed Metalminds for the attributes. They gift Allomancy and Feruchemy...but they are just Metalminds as every other Medallion. Anyway be more powerful with the Cadmius Will add a very Little to your time lap as you will be still regulary limited by the avaliable Cadmius. The Harmonium could not be eaten and burned as It explodes in contact with water

I don't think there is the need of a crack at all. You could give your Breath to a random foreign guy and this guy will have your Breath and could use it to Awaken, regard of his past and soul
-
First of all, an Iron Spike can't contain Allomantic Iron powers as it could be used to steal Human Strenght only (to Steal Allomatic Iron power, you need a Steel Spike). I think the Spike will be integrated in the first one and the second will always be a external thing no matter you pierce him

Like John said Durallumin/Nicrosil didn't increase as a specific %. They simply burn all the metals in a few istants rather than seconds/minutes/hours.
-
Marasi with a Nicroburst (the same thing of Cadmius+Durallumin) will not obtain more than his usual "time gain" (without a Better term). If She stays One hour with a *10 ratio or a minute with a *600 or a second with *36000 ratio. She will be at the same time in the future (numbers as example).
-
As this topic is not on Magic working. It's shorter to write "fuel" than write "the amount of gateway to filter Preservation's power into the Specific Effect".
-
This would not do a lot as the fuel will be the amount of Cadmius in Marasi's stomach. It would be the same thing of a Nicrosil Misting using his power on Marasi

First of all, with the except of Atium, you could not steal different attributes with a single type of spike. IF you could, we don't know if the charge would stack (I am for the no, or some people on Scadrial would tried it and used it). Regard of the way I can't see working the Spike gifting his charge to two different peoples as the Spike contains a piece of Soul and if one of them is gifted with the Stolen Soul the other could not. I am not sure about your last question about the Shard. Could you expand it better ?
-
Except if the Truthless' status is magical too and Nale waited to get rid to the Oathstone's bond.
-
Actually I don't want to say metal=investiture ALWAYS (well of course everything is made of Investiture, metals included but it's not what are we talking about of course). Simply when Investiture turn into solid form in its purer way. It becomes a Metal... A GodMetal like it will be called in another books. Shardblade are basically made of an alloy of Tanavastium& Cultivation's name-ium. But this is really OT, so I will stop this branch of discussion in the topic. Yeah, it's what I thought by the nick plus the avatar
-
@Fulminato It's not really in that way. Simply It seems that Investiture in solid forum took naturally Metallic nature as substance. If you think about It's also plausible. Many many other solid materials are composed of many different things. The metal instead could be made of omogenous matter. So if there is a solid form from Investiture without further manipulation. It Will be Metallic in nature (note that "metal" seems to have a looser meaning in the Cosmere) PS: if i could ask. Where do you come from? Because your Nick is peculiar
