  1. To be honest I am quite sure about the use of Metals on Other's Shardworld. The Hemalurgy is the result of "Ruin's Investiture"+"Scadrial's Focus"(metal). Without the Metal as Focus there isn't Hemalurgy but something else. And this "Something else" not necessary is a "Power-stealing-Ability".
  2. Nice ! But in your Theory You didn't consider the Opposing-Force-to-Adonalsium and his/her/its Weapon. I don't think that Opposite-Force was some of the Shardholders.
  3. There are many Theoryes about the Heralds (not Radiants) current status (and their possible appearances in the first two Stormlight books). Something are: Taln: Tortured from thousands of years Nal: Judgment on proto-radiant (and probably other criminals) over Roshar Ash: Thief job and destroying art. Jezrien: The Drunk man from the WoK's Prologue (not confirmed) Ishi: The "God of Vegetable's City" from the Collector's POV (not confirmed). Kelek: The guy with Nal at the Gavilar's Assasination, he dislike that Szeth had the Jezrien's Honorblade (not confirmed but most likely). Now I don't remember the theorys about the other Heralds.
  4. Hi! All the Cosmere fans are welcome
  5. Welcome new Sharder ! You get here late, but at least now you are here... Enjoy the comunity
  6. To be honest I don't think that It's possible to steal "a surge", it's possible (for me) to steal a bond (also a Nahel Bond) and all its pros e contros (but the surgebinder are an oddly case with its Oaths).
  7. I thought about the Hemalurgy in general. For example if you want to stole the Strenght of a Selish guy, you could use an Iron Spike but without some Ruin's Investiture, there isn't any Hemalurgy. Therefore you must use Atium's Spike or give to the victim some Ruin's Investiture.
  8. To be honest I thought about two possible ways to use Hemalurgy with someone not from Scadrial: 1) Use an Atium Spike (the more easy). 2) Give to the victim a little of Ruin's Investiture in someway before spiked him and you could use any right metal to make the Spike. The second it's the "standard Hemalurgy", simply we "emulate" a "Standard people of Scadrial".
  9. There are probably some "requirements" to use the Hemalurgy in other planets.
  10. It's true, i didn't think about it. The Alluminum-Hat is more simple and usable by anyone. But the Copper is "safer", while you feel the Copper's burning you are sure to be Immune, while the hat can be stolen/manipulated/switched/ecc...
  11. A copper misting is immune to Emotional Allomancy, like it said in AoL is a great "skill" to any role of power (es. government). About the Inutility of Chrome and Nicrosil, they are indeed quite usefull in the "everyday life": Chrome: With Steel or Iron to support are quite 100% searches method (No Hidden metal outside or inside). Nicrosil: Could be used to focused the Strenght of other (and maybe weak) Misting. Therefore through Nicrosil also weak misting could be usefull to the Society-needed-work (like in the power plan). Remember that a single Nicrosil Misting could "help" a lot of misting in short time.
  12. We haven't any 100% sure proof from both of thesys. I am just talk about the Model more likely to me (that of course may be different of yours).
  13. Well I don't think that the Shades "avoids" to pass through objects (like tree or anything else) and I'm quite sure that the Shades passively rot the flesh of who touch them (more simply a Shade can't avoid to damage someone with its touch). Therefore there would be sign of "devastation" in the forest, at least in a zone where angry shades try to punish someone that broke the rules. voluntarily or noTT tHERE
  14. Lurcher, well i had prefer Steel but it's quite usefull for reaching the remote control XD
  15. Well Every Kolos are Human-based, therefore had the Preservation's Investiture and the potential for Allomancy (but I think that after the "trasformation" could not use it). They pass down the potential for Allomancy to their children, therefore a Koloss blood could became an Allomancer like anyone else. PS: In the Alloy of Law era, we don't know how the Snapping works, therefore some of the "fact" that we know, could be no more true.
  16. The book never spoke about. But "if they could" (and it's unlikely), there is a situation like the breeding of the Inquisitor (It's a supposition) the only "other Hemalurgic's Construct based on Human". There are some "mechanical issues" in the "act" beetwen a kolos and a Human. But I don't want think about it XD
  17. Before the Harmony's actions I would said yes but the the child will be nothing of the Koloss Heritage (like the Inquisitor's children). But now that they are modificated to be a true breading species. I think that the "hybrids" are impossible.
  18. I think they can't rot wood (or any other material) because at least the Forest of Hell must have some sign of this. I think that is a "Investiture Interference" the Shadow can't interact with "low Investiture bein" but react (and could interact) with living beins (more Investiture). But to confirm my point, the Silver of Therondyl (I hope I write the name well) is Invested (and hight Invested). It's something I was thinking about the ability of Silver to "cure" a Shadow-made-wound.
  19. I don't quote your message to avoid a huge post: @about the mix ancestor: We know that the Allomancy gene and Feruchemy gene don't mix very well through parent-children therefore the result of some kind of "hybrid"(horrible words I know) would be a Twinborn (but very unlikely through the rarity of Allomancer at that time). Seems quite that the Terrisman Allomancer was not rarer than other allomancer (before the Rashek Ascension). @about the Spike Creation: The Shardholder of Ruin may "put the Intent" to create a Hemalurgyc Spike, but the physical wound have to be in the right bindpoint with the right metal. @aboutLerasium: It's "main effect" is to rewrite someone spiritweb (thanks to Oudeis) and "without guide" it improves the link to preservation (make the guy a powerfull mistborn). But could potentially alter the Spirit web in anyway ? Maybe granting Feruchemy or at least the Ability of Absorbing Ruin's Investituire (that then granting Feruchemy) ?
  20. Your Analysis is good but in the Cosmere any of that effect are actually "full magical" not "brain manipolation". I don't know how much do you know about the Realmatic Theory and I don't want to spoiler anything to you. Basic of Realmatic Theory
  21. Really fascinating indeed But about the topic and the Returned's child. There is any evidence aganist the "The Returned aren't sterile but as beins with "cognitive-alterable"'s biology, they became sterile because they think that they are sterile" ? Vo the first Returned didn't had any "outside's influence" and he generated a child. The Returned of the Court of the God are indoctrinated by the "Returneds are sterile" idea. And the Returneds outside live just a week and probably know about the "Returneds are sterile" fact.
  22. I didn't see that you was a new Sharder, Welcome ! Anyway I read (quite time ago) a sentence on the Coppermind about the Lerasium and his power in Solid/liquind/gassous state, but I can't find it anymore, somebody remember or know where can i find it ? I think that using the Atium in another "state" could be possible the "assimilation".
  23. The strange things about the "push-steelmind" was about Ruin and his Inquisitors. If there is a way to Compound the Allomancy and it is so easy that any Compounder may simply do. Why Ruin's Inquisitors (with the All-knowledge of Ruin) doesn't use it. There is three options: - Error of Mr. Sanderson. - There is no way to compound the Allomancy (we had misunderstood the WoB) - The method is quite complex and the Inquisitor can't do it (therefore nothing like "I put the allomantic energy in the metalmind).
  24. The Allomancy came from the Preservation's Investiture inside everyone, not by the proximity to Preservation and there was (incredible rare) misting-feruchemist in the Terris' History therefore there isn't a mutual exclusion Allomancer/Feruchemist. More, the people of Luthandel live for 1000 years exactly in the original Terris and the Ska never develop the Feruchemy. My point was about the "adding Ruin's Investiture" and the only avaliable souce was the Atium. Maybe the method of absorption was not quite simple. Maybe the Atium had to be in a specific state (solid, liquid, gassous) as we see that with the Lerasium solid/liquid/gassous changes the effect of the Preservation's Investiture.
  25. It's not exactly what the Lerasium does by defalut ?Rewrite your Spirit-Web to give you a stong connection to Preservation ?
