  1. To be honest I don't think that the Listener of the KR have a gemheart. Anyway to be capable of "contain Stormlight" didn't mean be capable to "absorb Stormlight". It may be possible to a Listener to be a Stormlight-container without the ability to drawn Stormlight within it's body. The Surgebinding-power give this ability and may change the owner body to create a "Stormlight-container" (the GemHeart)
  2. Probably nothing, there is a WoB about a " if a metalmind is spiked inside of an Allomancer that burning Allumin" and the Answer was something like "spiked inside your body isn't enought to made tha Allumin affect it" but probably an Hemalurgyc Spike is enough connect to the host that the Allumin would consume some Hemalurgyc charge. I suppose that Nightblood works (about the Allumin) like a Metalmind. And therefore suffer no effect to the Allumin. Of course if you held Nightblood and then burn Allumin, you would probably death in seconds.
  3. It's a normal Shardblade, you may notice how it scream when Dalinar bonding with the Stormfather. And the Stormfather itself call the blade a "mostruosity". We know that the Honorblades don't scream when a Radiant touch them (thanks to Kal after his battle with Szeth). And of course the descriptions are different
  4. Yeah He could but There is no benefit to use it I suppose. The Honorblade are less efficent than a SprenBlade and you will use stormlight faster. But for example if Kal bond with the Taln's Honorblade he may access to 4 Surge. Pretty cool ;-)
  5. To my own interpretation (that may be horrible wrong). Emotional Allomancy and Cosmere-Mind-Control don't work exactly InvestitureVSInvestiture. It's something like Pushing/Pulling a Metal. Also if it's an Investiture-powered effect the real match is weightVSweight and I suppose that also in the Mind Controll/Emotional Allomancy is just an EgoVSEgo (or to be more precise IdentityVSIdentity). Not sure if I made myself clear but it's complicated to explain my thought in English
  6. Sorry I mean : If you are a guy with average level of Investiture or you are Susebron (that I suppose is the Most Invested Human saw in the Cosmere until now) don't change anything at all when it comes about Mind-Controll, Emotional Allomancy and similar abilities. Or at least it's what seems to me.
  7. I don't think that the "amount of Investiture" count about the "mind-control" in the Cosmere and if I remember right a lerasium-Mistborn are near at the level of a Sliver about "amount of Investiture". Of course you have right about the Insane amount of Healing that Rashek may use.
  8. Probably Allomantic Copper is enough to stop Nightblood's Mind-Influence. And if There isn't i suppose that with Feruchemical Identity He will be Immune to Mental Influence.
  9. Well I had a theory about how the Bond are powered on Roshar. It was created with the "wrong" case of the relationship Divine Breath-Returned but it's the same things using "Nightblood-Average Guy". http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/45011-theory-returned-that-feed-of-stormlight/?view=findpost&p=329683. The Core Idea was that the Bond on Roshar had 2 effect: 1) Giving some kind of Splinter-Relate Powers 2) Giving the ability to use the Local Investiture (Stormlight) to use the powers of the point 1
  10. I suppose that the baby will not recive healing. he Healing works throught Cognitive Image of self. The Baby also if in the Mother's body will soon (very soon) be viewed like an "other bein" and not part of the Mother. I know that there is a horrible example but: It's like a bullet in your chest, or the metal or food in your Stomach. They recive no effect by the Healing.
  11. One explanation of the Magnitude may be that the "Average Radiant Spren" are made by less Investiture than 1000 Breath. Another point maybe was that the Five Scholar chose to use the hard combination of "materal, command,eccc...." for their Sentience Object to make sure It will suck a lot of Breaths and give him a better chance to develop a Mind. If this didn't work they could retrive the Breaths from the Object
  12. Some kind of Misting develop Savantism quite naturally because of the Standard Long time uses of power. Bronze is one of them but the more likely to become Savant are the Copper Misting (if Ska) because they burn 24/7 their metal. While the Bronze have the issues to be discovered by the Inquisitor (I talk about the Final Empire Era).
  13. Nightblood feed of any form of Kinetic Investiture. The sure source that Nightblood may feed are: - Breath - Stormlight - Attribute Stored inside a Metalmind - Allomantic power while burning metal Therefore Nightblood is a versatile weapon on most Shardworld and in the hands of many Magic-User. But there is somethings you need to think about. First of all at the moment Szeth isn't a Surgebinder and unless the Nightblood's Bond on Roshar give him the ability to absorm Stormlight. He can't do this and if he try to extract Nightblood He will die in seconds. Another is that NightBlood seems to feed only of its Owner's Investiture. The victims of Nightblood are horrible (quite sure fataly) hurt but Nightblood doesn't feed of Them.
  14. From the breaking of the Oathpact to tWoK are 4500 years, then there is a WoB about 6000 years from the Shattering to the Broken Oathpact. Together are something like 10000 years, but the "6000 years" are not 100% canon because Brandon may change this time a little if needed
  15. Sure I was just saing that He isn't probably 10000 years old (if I remember right it's the time from the Shattering and WotK). About Rashek is possible until now I always tought that his nature as "FullBorn" wasn't the result of "just" eat Lerasium. Now I don't know if he became a Fullborn directly through the Well or thans to the Well's Knowledge+Lerasium
  16. It's quite possible that Rashek with the Ascension's Knowledge uses the Lerasium became a FullBorn and Hoid want to make the same. About the age of Hoid, if He may jump in the time, it's possible that he isn't old like the Cosmere (there is a WoB about He didn't jump in the past, but in the future is possible).
  17. Yeah Voidus is right. It's the "Magic System" that has passed down from parent to the child (when we talk about Allomancy and Feruchemy). Just see at Straff Venture, he was a Tineye and generated a Mistborm (I suppose there isn't any better example), many mixed Misting and his Child "more likely Allomancer" is not an Allomancer at all. A guy with n Allomancy-Spike would generate (if He is luckly enough) a Simply Misting (or a Mistborn but it's so unlikely to be quite impossible). More fascinating (to me) are the Heritage of Human Attributes. If a guy with a Strenght-Skipe generate a lot of Children, some of this Children would have an abnormal strenght I suppose. It's probably what we see with the Koloss-Blood in the HoA era. Some of them have to be "abnormal Strong" than the average Koloss-Blood. I suppose that this is the only "large-scale Hemalurgyc Breeding" that we may see in the series.
  18. Yeah It's exactly what I said. To me the reason was because he lost is chance of freedom. It was pointless to use his "limitated" strenght to boost the Mist after Rashek Ascension. It would be aganist Ruin's plan. Because the People would understand that they may survive in the Deepness. The World was not ending at all. But without Rashek (who knows much about Ruin, Preservation and the Mist), Ruin could use the Mist as a Fear-Tool to push Vin and the others.
  19. Impossible, the savant are more addicted by the Metal than a Normal Allomancer. Without burning metal they are equal or less then a Standard Misting (if applicable). For Example, when Spook become a Tin Savant, without burning Tin is sense are very very weak, He was quise blind and Insensible. I don't know if the Iron/Steel Savant has one of this "contros" but surely He hasn't any "power" without burning metal Iron/Steel
  20. Mmm no.. The Deepness was the reason of the Alendi's journey to the Well as Hero of Ages. It was the effect of the "Standard Mist" powered by Ruin. This "super Mist" didn't vanish at the dawn and the people was afraid that "the super mist" will kill them all (because without sunlight the plant didn't grown). But the Deepness didn't kill more than the current Mist. The danger of the Deepness was not direct, a long term danger. When Rashek killed Alendi and Ruin's plain failed. Rashek push Scadrial more near the Sun, hoping that this will burn away the Mist (because the "Standard Mist" fade at the sunlight I suppose). This worked but probably because Ruin didn't strenghten the Mist now not for some Sunlight-related cause.
  21. About your question: 1) It's very unlikely that Elantrian have something like that, they suffer far from the city therefore they don't know how to draw otherplace's Dor. This don't mean that the Moon Shepter is unique just that not any civilization had its own Rosetta Stone. 2) I have no "strong idea" but: If the MoonShepter is a Forgery made to rewrite itself wherever it is on Sel (using the local Dor) and his "information" upgraded with the rewrite ? 3) The Dor works very oddly and different to "Standard Investiture", maybe Hoid tried to "deeply understand" own use it for his purpose. 4) I say no, the Schepter is a Traslate table to the "Programmable Investiture" of Sel. And we know that the Dor is very Local on Sel. With it you may use other "concentration of Dor" different by our own. But on other Planet there isn't any Dor. 5) No idea at all, but if my theory (point 2) is true or at least near of the true. The Sheptre doesn't work off-world. This is a lot of Speculation and a little Facts. But at the moment I had nothing more
  22. I though about when I write my first answe on this topic but I think that he isn't a Savant. The "Savant power" develops through the Flaring a metal for very long time. Breeze use the Allomancy often (very often) but He use something like a delicate amount of Power. I don't think that his Style was capable of trasform him in a Savant. About the "improved controll" of an Iron/steel savant, It's true. My bad to not think about.
  23. Yeah about his Skill you have probably (quite surely) right. And don't forget that Astreel's Body used to be a Returned's body. With some degree of Improvement Strenght, Agility that may be still inside Clod.
  24. After I thought about for a while I the ones that you had already said and Electrum and Allumin (see below). An Electrum Savant may see quite far in its own future. But it is a lot expansive (just a little less than pure gold). About the other Metals, if you don't have any other power you will find pretty hurt or dead using. Some examples: Iron/Steel: A powerfull pull/push affects also you, probably hurt your own organs, or if you usa something like coin, you just obtain to may shoot them very far but without the aim to do this good. Zinc/brass: Really I don't know what thay may do in Savantism. Maybe you had to use Allomancy also to yourself or be Aphatic. Bronze/copper: We know that are just improvment without contros, but the effect isn't probably "the best". Gold/Electrum: Very expensive. Allumin: Could be a very strong anti-Investiture tool. Durallumin: Useless Nicrosil/Crome: I suppose there isn't any improvment through being a Savant. Cadmium/bendalloy: Quite powerfull but probably useless to the great need of metals and you develop something like time-disorder about the rest of the world.
