There is a lot of confusion about the Zahel method of survive on Roshar. Putting together more WoB we can say that Zahel may drawn Stormlight, that Stormlight may sustain a Returned like him and the "easy source" of Investiture is the reason of his presence on Roshar. BUT He is using Breaths to stay alive at the moment. He had an Huge store of Breath on Roshar.

But an Surgebinder with infinite Stormlight isn't functionally Immortal ? And his Plate quite Indistructible ? With This two facts I suppose that a Surgebinder can't lose with anyone (but of course in the reallity the Stormlight is a finite fuel). Probably the Infinite Metals+ Durallumin may help but is a poison card to play. In the reallity a Mistborn with this setup will die by himself in minutes. Hyperflare so much metal, will turn you very fast in a Savant and probably make you apart in little time. We need to change the conditions, because this term is far too unrealistic.

I suppose that the Lifeless are very unflexible to the change in the battlefield. This is true, a lifeless of a skilled warrior, had just a bit of the former skill. The only example of a true fearsome Lifeless is Clod. But He is a Lifeless made from an Superhuman that boost his physical power and with a great extra amount of Breath that give him a greater degree of this former skill.

You say that there is the same difference between something like Nightblood and a sword with 1000 breath stored inside i suppose. It may be, thanks to the recent tour, we know that the Investiture works in two different way. Kinetic Investiture and the other (i don't remember the name sorry). Maybe one of the type cause the full interference between Investiture and the other a very little Interference

Well all in the Cosmere is made by Investiture. All the rock, tree, animals,ecc.... If you had to use something similar to Brandon's Words. The Investiture (in the Cosmere) are a third state of thing with "matter" and "energy" and follows his own Termodinamc Law. You will probably know that Matter is actually (in the real world) packed Energy. Probably the Investiture (in Cosmere) is what the Energy (and as consequence the Matter) is made in the Cosmere. Every living things is a lot more invested than a rock. And a Sentience Bein is a lot more invested than an Animal. You may find this reading Mistborn and the relationship of Ruin and Preservation in the beginning of Scadrial

Adonalsium and God Beyond Speculation
Yata replied to Sharp of Wit and Blade's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well Odium to me is not "strange". He probably Invested very little part of his power. Using your own example, Ruin and Preservation are probably the "weakest" Shard to the fact that they Invested a lot of his powers to create every lifeform of Scadrial (and probably the whole Scadrial as a planet). Sure this give them the allpower on the planet but about "raw power" they was more weak (probably) than other Shard. If Odium keep his power to himself, he may overpower by "brute force" any other Shard that invested their power in a Shardworld. About the Listener (I find difficoult to write Parshedi all the time). they are in a peculiar situation. They are quite a "Drab creature" that need to bond with a Spren to became something "whole". Any Shard may use their Spren like Backdoor to controll a Listener after their bonding. The only similar case to this, is on Scadrial. Ruin and Preservation have tiny backdoor to the people's mind. And with a little help (Hemalurgy) this backdoor is improved to the point of Comunication and Mind Controll. -
I always thougth that the Unmade responsable for the Death Rattle. Use the Investiture of the Dyng Human to powered his Future-sight. While it consumed an Human's soul to see the future. The Dyng himself recive some bit of information (or the all vision)

Parshendi + Gemheart? (WoR-Spoiler)
Yata replied to Shaukan-son-Hasweth's topic in Stormlight Archive
To me the Gemheart develops inside of a Human/listener/Grandshell body. After the Spren's Bonding. We know that in the Roshar's fauna many species had a Symbiontic bond with Spren. It the reason of the Existence of Huge Animals like some Greatshell. If the gemheart was inside of a Chull at the beginning there is more easy to made breed a chull and then kill the offspring to gather the gem. Unless you had to wait maybe years to the develop of a Sizeble Gemheart to harvest, but it's an inefficient way. -
Adonalsium and God Beyond Speculation
Yata replied to Sharp of Wit and Blade's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah when Adonalsium shattered, 16 Shards come to existence. All the Shards was at the same level of Power/Investiture. There was probably all equals unless to their Intent. At the moment the Shards have different level of Power because they Invested Something. About the Intent and Holder. Every Shard take with it an Intent, but the Intent is quite an "abstract concept", when a Holder pick up a Shard the Intent is interpretate by the Holder. Therefore the Ati's Ruin wil be different by an "Rayse's Ruin". Ati was a very kind guy and probably see the Ruin as a Entropic Decay without any malice. This was the Ruin that we know through Mistborn. But if Rayse was the Holder of Ruin. We probably saw another interpretation of the Intent of Ruin and a Shard-Shardholder Entity totaly different. -
Remember that Marsh is "just" 340 years old, that the Inquisitor had a longed lifespan and we don't even know if he lived all this years or he put himself in stasis for long time. But also if he lived all the years, compounding youth to stay alive is an exponential cost process. Maybe he just use a more pragmatic method to gain Immortality. Rashek had the need to be always youth an his best years to mantain the godhood. Marsh maybe stays quite all time very very old to save Youth. Adding to this, if he may burn Cadmius, he may save more and more Youth, putting himself in stasis.

Theory: Devotion and Dominion are actually a "Spintered Shard"
Yata replied to Yata's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well I suppose that the things are more complex. The Dor is "strange" also because it is in the "wrong place". Normally the Shard's Investiture is in the Spiritual Realm, but the Dor is in the Cognitive. In the Cognitive the Dor is "compressed" and I suppose that It will Destroy anyone how touch him above the average. I suppose that the Seligh people must before "take the Dor in the Spiritual Realm", only after someone may pick the power and Ascends. -
If I am not wrong. TLR's Braclet pierced his skin and this is why Vin can't push/pull at them without a supercharge
-
Imagine the Allomancy like using the metal like a specific Aon that Preservation Power use as a medium from "Preservation's Investiture" to "Push Metal". The Allomancy and the AonDor are quite the same things (more than any other Magic System).
-
I don't think. If this was true. Rashek would charge the Lerasium's beads to avoid anyone to burn them. But of course we don't know what is storable inside a Lerasium

To me is impossible to breed a Kandra-Human hybrid. Harmony doesn't need to alterate them to allow to procreate. They does from 1000 years. And I remember that the mistwrath/kandra was made exactly to remove them from the genetic-pool. The reason for Harmony to change the Koloss was to trasform a race that may develop only destroying other sentience races (humans) to an Indipendentan Race. But if (and I don't think) a Kandra-Human was born (and survive to the birth of course). It will probably have nothing out of ordinary (maybe just something like eyes of different colors, or albinism) just condition that also a normal Human may have. About the Hemalurgy Heritage, it will probably works like if a Spiked Human had made a child with another human.

Well a Powerfull Awakener may broke the Lifeless's command. But I suppose we talk about ArmiesVS Armies without any Powerfull magic user to create chaos to the other army. About the cost (in Breath) to make a Lifeless, seems that is constant. Probably because every elegible to became a Lifeless was a very living bein. I am not sure about the Breath needed to create a Lifeless in Warbreaker era. But probably isn't much meaning full. Here we talk about an efficent army and we may suppose that they use the more efficient command also if the performance of the Lifeless is a bit less.
-
I suppose that Atium/Lerasium are not "pure form of Ruin/Preservation Investiture". They contain an amount of Investiture but thay aren't "only solid investiture". If I remember right, there is a WoB about the structure of the God Metals that say something like "The Atium is a metal with a normal physical structure, it has just an extra Spiritual Layer" (Not sure about the exact words).

Because when The Squirrel was found, the Priests thinks that is very strange that someone used a lot of Breath to Awake a Lifeless-Squirrel. If the One-Breath-Command was spread nobody will think something like that. Again Vasher stopped the Manywar and we know how he destroys "dangerous information" (War-trigger-Command) from spread. I will not surprise if he seek anyone who knows the Command and Killed him (because in the past he doesn't know how to remove memories).

Everyone in the Cosmere had Investiture and the Sentience creature had more. Now we call for semplicity "standard investiture" the Investiture of the Average Humans. On Nalthis every people is born with an Innate Investiture greater than the Standard Investiture (probably more than a Scadrial-Human) but this Nalthis Innate investiture is made by a part trasferable called Breath (that are not the same for all the people at the born) and a part not-trasferable that we may call without a better term "soul". What made a Drab is the fact that the Soul have less Investiture of the Standard Investiture and therefore when someone give away his Breath finish with less Breath than any other Shardworld-Human. On Nalthis the effect is more drammatic because anyone with Breath have more than a Standard Investiture. A Drab may come out within other Magic System with less frequency, a victim of Hemalurgy (if survives) became quite a Drab. The only difference is about the "became Grey" but this isn't a "Drab proof" simply the colors fuel the Breath transfer.

It a really good idea but I don't think that may works. Also a full developed Elatrian would be hit by the Reod. Also if you apply a seal with the "Full Elantrian status" the Dor isn't coming through you and the result is the Reod again. It may be worst in the end because the true Elantrian suffer much more the Reod.
-
Yeah he was probably a proto-Radiant of some degree from the First Vision. I don't think that the Stormfather may send the vision to anybody without some kind of bond. @Dayblood: There is a WoB about Lopen and his condition. He is a Windrunner's Squire like other member of the Bridge4. For the future the things may change, but at the moment is not a Surgebinder.
-
Probably they see the "Returning" like: Austre:"Ok fresh Deadman, I have a mission to you, you must X. But hurry you will die again in a week therefore if you finish your mission early you have extra free time before come back here".
-
Probably if you are an Allomancer on Sel a Forgery may allow you to "change your misting power" with another metal or maybe a full Mistborn.
-
There are another point, in this battle are used the expansive 50-Breath-Lifeless or the cheap One-breath-Lifeless ? We talk about the One-Breath Lifeless I suppose, but in the Warbraker we see only the "standard" 50-Breath-Lifeless. While an Awekener may create cheap Lifeless (using the One-Breath-Command) we have no "actual clue" about their ability and their ablity to Understand the order or simply to manage their wounds. Our only One-Breath-lifeless in the book is a Squirrel and I don't think is a good Example.
-
Probably because with the Austre Dogma the manipulation of the Breath is a Taboo. And therefore the Idrians doesn't know the right Command to give away their Breath, but I suppose that also if they know. Both of Idrian Returned and "Random-Suffering-People" doesn't want the "miracle" because they see it like a Blasphemy.
