  1. Nice question. Probably it's not strictly related... The Vorinism said "everyone is gift with something is skilled to do, you have to improve your gift". This probably went further from the original "reclaming the Halls" concept as you see there are a lot of Calling that can't be used to this purpose. As for example all the Art related ones. And in the end, we don't even know if the actual Vorinism or the old Vorinism is right about the Tranquille Halls and the fight there.
  2. Probably yes but in the books we have only a couple of confirms other than Chasmfield's Ones. Lanceryn (the marine Greatshell who saved Shallan) and Yu-nerig (the one of "you have eyes of red and blue"). As far as we know everykind of GreatShell may have gemheart but probably the smallen one aren't worthy to be killed for the gem.
  3. It's possible He used the same "trick" of Preservation. Planning the Southern save through Kelsier for some future agenda. His bluff to Kelsier was part of that. It's a not too likely possibility but we have to consider that. Or maybe the Southern was hidden from his sight during the Ash-World's final moments (Metallic Vault or something like that)
  4. Well Compound "just work" is an oversimplification. TLR took time to learn how compound, also Inquisitors began to understand the trick but they are uncapable or not efficient in doing. Everything may be simply once you began skilled in doing it. But this doesn't mean you aren't actuallu doing something strange. For example: The Seon's Bond gift new abilities on Roshar, this is probably an Hack of Roshar's magic...but you actually need just to be on Roshar to exploit this hack. Or Nightblood so far we know.
  5. Like Argel said the standard Black Hole would be dangerous for the near planets (or maybe the whole solar system) and probably beyond the Feruchemy possibility. The Quantum ones will be useless for the FTL travel
  6. mmm Maybe... I think if you may manage to make the Mistwrath bonds with the Spren, He may develop sentence, I don't know if this new creatures may be called Kandra but to stay simply I think it's similar enough. The problem is that instead of Intrusive Hemalurgy who force Spirit-Web in the reciver without the need of actions/will from the reciver... The test with the Spren need more to work. Also the Listeners who are designed to do something like that. Need preparation, will and other factors. I imagine for the Mistwrath to be worse...Maybe an actual Kandra may do this (expliot the Sentience and the Hemalurgy weakness for the Spren-Bond) and then remove his own Blessings .
  7. Ok I checked. That gemheart is an Emerald. I began to think that all the Gemhearts are always Emeralds in every kind of GreatShell.

    Dor's Strength

@WeiryWriter already covered perfectly the topic but I want to add my 2 cents. All the Selish Magic (so far we know) are external magic... They took power from an external Source (the Dor in the case), the user is just the reciver of a Stream of Power who then he Shapes with the right Form, this turn raw power in a actually magical effect. You will see when you read Mistborn. A Magic System who work with the same principle, the Dor isn't unique to this. What the Dor is quite strange, is about his real purpose. The Dor-Magic is actually a programmable Investiture. You may probably obtain everything you want with the Dor and the right knowledge. Another oddiety is about his use. In another Magic Systems you don't actually need to know what are you doing, the simply "I want it" is enough to made the magic work... Just think to the instance of Surges used without knowing by Surgebinder. Instead on the Dor's Magic (I will keep to use this term because, we know that on Sel there is a Single Magic System who express itself differently with region-base) the precision, skill and knowledge is needed.
  9. Giving away your Breath don't kill you. There are tons of Drabs on Nalthis.
  10. Does it mean I seems an old guy ?
  11. awesomeness
  12. @Jondesu but the Listeners said that him (as Rider of the Storm) was among the Spren who betrayed them giving their Surges to the Humans. Your idea don't have less merit than mine, but I think He was a Bondsmith's Spren before. Some people here on the forum (I am not with them) thinks the whole Bondsmith's Order was bonded with Stormfather at the same time (three bonds). As you see we have a tons of possibility/theories.
  13. She is not from Scadrial but her Etnicity is form Scadrial.
  14. If Odium didn't splinter a Shard after killed it. Would The Ex-Vessel's Cognitive Shadow be capable of pick up again the Shard or He/She needs an extra help?
  15. The Surgebinder's background are two Larkins (an Rosharan animal who seems capable of draining Stormlight). You see a couple of them in the books, one in the Lift's interlude and another in the Rysn's Interlude
  16. I didn't found a more explicit WoB but: When I will find the WoB I remember I will post here. Anyway like @Jondesu said the WoB tells that the Tanavast's Shadow merged with a Spren. You may also notice how the Stormfather's words are quite contraddictory. He said to be the "memory men create for him" and also to be there when Honor died and He runned away. In the first case He will began to live after some time Honor's Death and can't be a frighten viewer of the murder. I think himself has two set of memories merged in one and his new formed mind tries to adjust them, twisting some parts with the logic.
  17. @Daniyah in those two photos you seem two different people
  18. A LionelRichieSpren of course !
  19. Probably a mix of lower gravity, better food and a general health improvement due the Stormlight and its Healing proprieties.
