  1. To be honest we have no proof about this. I see no reason for the medallion to be uncapable of compound. Watching the level of Feruchemical Charge the Southern may use in their medallions. I think it's very very likely they may compound with the Medallion tech. I am waiting from the next book, Wax to go at Ranette's house with one of the airship's medallion and ask her to try to compound weight. It may be a cool scene.
  2. To be honest I doubt that Kelsier isn't actualy a Fullborn...damnation it I don't even know if he kept his own Allomantic Ability as Misborn in this currenlty incarnation. I think, he made Spook a pseudo-Fullborn through Hemalurgy. After all Spook is (to cite Kel) to an "halfinsh to goodhood". Spook has quite and ready the half of a Fullborn ability and He probably was able to retriva at least some Feruchemical Spike from Inquisitors. If they manage to recover Ruin-Inquisitor's Spike...we may tell that probably they have an easy way to get a lot of powers. Much more if they were able to ally with some of the Feruchemist after the end of Ash-world.
  3. Yes but to create a Spike you need a willing Intent. Once the Hemalurgic Spike is made, it's already an vector of magic. While in the Fabrial tech, you may (ok you need an very higher techology but it's just an example) take a industrial machine who cuts in the right way a gem, than the machine places the gem where in some time a Spren would be captured and after that put the gem in the metal framework build by the machine itself (while the gem is try to catch a Spren). To activate a Fabrial it seems there isn't a true need of human interaction, just to set some metal parts in the right configuration. PS: While I was figuring this process I had an flash of inspiration. The Artifabrial are quite Pokemon Trainer
  4. In my idea probably some specific Shard may unsplinter them with a lot of time and the right Intent. Of course this is the case IF the Investiture is in the rightful place (Spiritual Realm) while the Dor is compressed in the Cognitive Realm and maybe has no chance naturally of be still and develop a higher mind. Of example the way to create a Seon/Skaze may be to separate a specific Splinter to the ravaging Dor and leave it the time to slowly develop a Mind (to be there is more, but this may be the core part of Seon's creation) PS: This theory for the one who read it today, it's quite old...without some relevant information discovered in the last year, I have to upgrade this theory. At the moment I am busy with another Cosmere mistery
  5. I agree with this idea. It is one of the doubtful point in my Roshar's Theory. The Fabrial system seems to have more in common with a minor Shardworld magic than a major one. a Fabrial is something a user interacts rather than a magic used by the user. As example a Fabrial has not any kind of willing intent to be activate and this is a pretty anomany in Cosmere's magic. I like a lot your metaphor of Roshar's liveform as living Fabrial, it work and it's pretty awesome to imagine. May I re-use some of your ideas in my theory ?
  6. I think the Nightwatcher was a Spren doesn't made of H&C's Investiture but changed/forged by the faith of Cultivation in the west. Like the faith in the Allmighty was based on Honor. But instead of the Stormfather, she is not a Cognitive Shadow (or to be more precise partially a Cognitive Shadow) and instead she is the same thing of the Stormfather before Honor's Splintering. Now I can't say that those "forging" process was really natural or if H&C corrupted directly those old Spren
  7. Well in my mind Rashek would give to himself a true immortality with the Well (after fixing Scadrial). The first time he had not a deep Anatomy knowledge to do this (and his Immortality result in mistwrath a different race) probably he spent some of this 1000 to recover the informations he needs. As other option like Spoolofwhool said he may simply change some of his Spirit web to set his birth date 1000 years later.

    Compounding

Compound is less easy than seems. Yeah of course is "I burn my metalmind to get extra charge" but require an Mental Command that took a while to master. For example TLR himself spent a lot of time to master the compound. Just know the theory of the compound (and quite all the Inquisitors know it thanks to Ruin and Marsh) isn't enough to be able to do it.
  9. Or maybe the Surge-Fabrials are more limited in their scope of function. For example we know that Soulcaster fabrial can't trasform in every essences. And (maybe) a Progression Fabrial may be used or for Grow or for Regrow...not both
  10. in one of the Eshonai's Interludes one soldier informed her about a Gemheart capture and she say "good, our people may eat" Reading the Spoolowhool's previous post I began to think that the Listeners may have a Progression Fabrial... But if they have something like that they will use it to heal their only Shardbearer.
  11. To be honest I don't rememeber nothing like that, maybe I missed those informations
  12. A Shardblade cuts the Soul...we have a ton of WoB of that. For example:
  13. Maybe I misread but I think He meant: if a Mistborn have different Allomantic Strenght in different metals (without Skill, Savantism and Hemalurgy) for example have an Steel Strenght of 4 and an Iron Strenght of 3.... If I misunderstood the question I am sorry for the wrong answer
  14. Of course you have right, but Kal had a couple of weird dreams. To mention this oddly dreams in the highstorm I think it's possible to be a more regular experiences (maybe not dream at all). But it's all a pure speculation.
  15. A lot of people don't have flexibility and the ability to astract concepts. I imagine someone will find the Cosmere's death as a blasphemy (just if he/she stops a moment to figure the whole process). As: The mind (a thing developed by mortal experience) ascends to the Beyond (see as Heaven). While the Soul (gifted by God) will be thorn apart to be re-used to another people. But quite everything is blasphemy for someone. A belief is a delicate thing, easy to be offense. There are also many people who exploit this peculiar Human's weakness (to be deceived with faith-relate matter) therefore I think Mister Sanderson's concern is not so excideeding.
  16. With this line I almost fall from the chair.... My only regret is not be capable to give another upvote just for that XD Anyway we have at least three confirmed recipe of vision. Gavillar, Dalinar and an unkonwn guy cited as a Death rattle's source. We know from how many years Mr T collected the Rattles ? On Coppermind there aren't Recorded Rattles before the 1171 but may mean nothing. To be honest I want to undercover the possibility than Dalinar began to recive his Vision after the death of this potter
  17. Really a wonderful work. But I agree with Oversleep in the first post to shift the whole to have a Ishar on the top (and a Clock-like numeration)
  18. I was working to my Theory on Roshar's ecology and magical influences...But I will wait some days to post it to avoid confusion between our ideas. Then, I agree with some point (for example the bond as Roshar's focus) but I see some points of your theory that are quite doubtful: - Soulcasting is one of 10 Surges that aren't inherit of a Shard, they are like our four fondumental forces. I find unlikely that Cultivation have the ownership of one of them, much more one that it's not so strictly related to her Intent/Mandate as others (for example Progression). Neither in the books nothing suggest that the Soulcasting is special - The Rhytms are not a strictly Roshar or Listeners relate phenomean, but this is not exactly a problem to your theory. Probably the Listener may hear the Rhytms because they are too close to the Cognitive Realm. - I am really unsure if a Shard may stop another Shard from Investing his power
  19. Probably it's because he is stable in the same place for centuries and his daily show gives to the people the feeling of a purpose. Nobody seems to know why Cusicesh does what he does or why it's there.... but a strange spren stable in a zone may be see as a local god...if the area is peacefully it's a guardian spirit (in a cause-effect train of though)
  20. In order: 1) I don't think you may have different level of Allomantic Strenght naturally 2) The Lerasium will boost your ability. You have to add the Lerasium's Mistborn Allomantic Strenght to your own (like in your example of 1+x) 3) The Same amount of metals indeed produce the same amount of investiture. A "stronger" allomancer (for example Elend) is more powerful because he can burn more metal for second. I hope it may be useful, the first question hasn't a sure answer but it is very likely
  21. we saw (or at least heard) that Herald may be killed by mundane claws therefore physical wound. I don't think they have a real ward aganist Shardblades and Spiritual wounds. Maybe they may be a little more resistant to the cut, but I don't think more than a regular human aganist a regular sword.
  22. Yes but we don't know what give to the heralds the immortality and other Heralds-related features...probably they are yet high Invested beings with different rules. PS: I have an idea about the Herald to be immortal superhuman before Honor ask them help with the Oathpact and giving them the Honorblades...but it's another minor theory XD
  23. But Bullets have souls, like everything in the Cosmere. Everything (with some little exceptions) have a Physical, Cognitive and Spiritual Aspect.
  24. cool Idea but really I don't know if an Herad may bond a Spren....of course some Herald in the books may lost whatever made them different by a standard Human....(Ash-fired-theory ? XD)
  25. Dalinar (in blue uniform) lashed down from the sky and Szeth with this exactly face "O.O" (of course in white cloth)
