  1. For the record, the three Hemalurgists who Hellscythe told claimed to him were Mail, Alfa and a-player-who-was-not-Stink. @Wyrm, can we have clarification on whether or not that was Stink's actual role, or if he was just forged into a Hemalurgist? Also, if the remaining loyal Hemalurgists were to be Forged to another role, would that temporary gap of there being no Hemalurgist cause the HI to revert? As for the Elantrian saving Spaghetti, she came to me claiming she was roleblocked just like Ripple had been done the previous cycle, and I wanted to test if that meant the traitors would be going after her, so I gave the Elantrian her name to prove both his role / the theory. Turns out I was right, which means there is most definitely a Traitor BioChromancer as I've suspected since N2. Orlok was scanned as Loyal, by the way, and the Kandra agreed to scan Alvron last night to give me a piece of mind. Depending on the results of that scan and Stink's death, that means Kipper is the only remaining member of the "Old Guard" (aka the Original Traitors) who has not been confirmed and may very well be a traitor, as I had figured from Dowanx's death N3.
  2. Well it was part me wanting to take a breather, part me trying to get ahead on all my work since I'll be off the next two weeks in Cape Town, and part because I thought it would help to see how important it is for discussion to be had in order to progress the game. As for Ookla's, it's a 17th Shard holiday in honor of Peter's birthday.
  3. So I asked the HI to confirm the role of the Kandra, to make sure they were not at least lying about being one. Turns out they were telling the truth. Does that mean they are loyal? Not necessarily. Given the role was changed to scan both alignment and ability, it's possible the traitors were given one to throw us off. I am going to resign to trust him for now. Still waiting on the results of him scanning Orlok. Also, supposedly Alfa claimed to be forged into a Kandra last night, but a turn before, which really makes no sense at all. There's no way the traitors wouldn't have tried to grab it N1 after we lynched Shallan, for fear of losing it to the loyalists again. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and made a suggestion to who he should scan, but hardly trust him, as I know a couple other players who don't as well. Is it possible there could be a traitor Hemalurgist? Yes. Is it possible that he could just be a traitor lying about being a Hemalurgist? Yes. The HI has yet to confirm if he is telling the truth or not. I would like a more solid explanation from Alfa. I don't necessarily believe he is evil; in fact, I am more inclined to believe the players voting for him are traitors trying to get him lynched since they can't kill him themselves, so that they can turn the HI over to their side and gain all his information. But unless the third "Hemalurgist" is lying, I can ensure that doesn't happen by asking the Elantrian to protect them. I still would feel much more comfortable if the HI would scan those two to make sure it's true before we go trying to kill one of them. EDITED TO GREEN VOTE
  4. @Hellscythe: I figured it out fairly easy, so I'm sure that the traitors did too. Better that I make sure an Elantrian knows as well so they can keep him safe and you on our side. Anyway, since no one else has kicked it off already, I'm going to nominate Orlok for the Kandra scan due to the fact that if he is a traitor he may have been saved by one of his teammates by voting for Honey, and so that we can clear the air about his alignment as the only real reason anyone is suspicious of him is due to his interactions with me, which I don't think warrants death over some other players. I nominate Biggoron for the Mistborn kill on the grounds that he has been inactive so far and I would really like him to come and speak up. I've seen him view the thread a few times and am concerned he's a traitor intentionally lurking to stay out of the limelight. For similar reasons I am going to vote for Zed as well. Since we know there are two Mistborn, I would say that the top two voted for players should be attacked; the Mistborn who has been in contact with me since N1 should go after the #1 pick while the one who hasn't claimed to me attack the #2. Kandra Vote Tally (1) Orlok: Adavantos (1) Mistborn Vote Tally (1) Biggoron: Adavantos (1) (1) Zed: Adavantos (2)
  5. 6. No worries, mate. Misunderstandings happen. I personally don't think you're a traitor, and would prefer it if you weren't killed just because you criticized me. We all know I'm innocent now so your death won't actually give us any new information to work with, except maybe the potential alignments of the players who have voted for you. Same goes for Honey, which is why I'm concerned that there are traitors afoot.
  7. In response to this, I'm going to direct you to a quote by Bridge Boy from the last QF. "This is more of PK's style that I have seen in previous games of SE, where he hangs back more, and doesn't contribute a ton, but is helpful when he's a Villager. The one game when he acted differently, and in fact, was active and VERY "helpful," he was an eliminator. This is usually how he plays, so I don't think that this is anything suspicious." Just something to consider.
  8. Okay so, we definitely have at least three Feruchemists then. Which means it is very likely one of them is on the traitor's team. Unfortunately all three of them seem trustworthy to me. I will have to reexamine everything they've done so far, but I'm currently leaning on telling the Kandra their names so that he can scan them and hopefully figure out which one is evil. Once we know that and they're killed, someone can go back and look at all their posts to find anyone they may have implicated. EDIT: Also, I'm retracting my vote on Araris. (1) Alvron: Stink (1), (0) Kaid: Kipper (1), (4) Honey Badger: Araris (1), Paranoid King (1), Clanky (3), Hellscythe (2) (0) Bort: Arraenae (1), (2) Kipper: Clanky (1), Bort (1), Alfa (1), (1) Clanky: Kipper (2), (1) Alfa: Lopen (1), Ripple (1), Clanky (2), (0) Spaghetti: Hellscythe (1), (3) Orlok: Arraenae (2), Elkanah (1), Steph (1) (2) Araris: Spaghetti (1), Adavantos (1), Lopen (2)
  9. (1) Alvron: Stink (1), (0) Kaid: Kipper (1), (2) Honey Badger: Araris (1), Paranoid King (1), (0) Bort: Arraenae (1), (2) Kipper: Clanky (1), Bort (1), Alfa (1), (1) Clanky: Kipper (2), (3) Alfa: Lopen (1), Ripple (1), Clanky (2), (1) Spaghetti: Hellscythe (1), (3) Orlok: Arraenae (2), Elkanah (1), Steph (1) (2) Araris: Spaghetti (1), Adavantos (1) I know not too long ago I said I was going to abstain from voting, but Spaghetti's vote has encouraged me that there's still a chance to kill a player who I am genuinely suspicious of. Personally, of all the players on the board right now, I believe Araris is the one who is most likely a traitor. He's currently sharing the top slot with Elkanah on my maybe a traitor list. EDIT: For those who have voted for Alfa or are considering to, it seems wise for me to advise that you do not. If I could say why I would, but it's best that you figure it out yourself. You can do so by analyzing page four.
  10. This is the vote tally for the lynch, as it currently stands. (1) Alvron: Stink (1), (0) Kaid: Kipper (1), (2) Honey Badger: Araris (1), Paranoid King (1), (0) Bort: Arraenae (1), (2) Kipper: Clanky (1), Bort (1), Alfa (1), (1) Clanky: Kipper (2), (3) Alfa: Lopen (1), Ripple (1), Clanky (2), (1) Spaghetti: Hellscythe (1), (3) Orlok: Arraenae (2), Elkanah (1), Steph (1) I still need to some heavy duty analysis, knowing that Bridge Boy was in fact evil, so until I do I will not be weighing in on who dies. Unless something crazy happens at work I should be able to get it up for everyone's review before the turn ends. I wish I could say I'm happy about getting confirmed good, but deep down I'm not. I would have preferred it if anyone else was so that we might be closer to finding another traitor, as we could probably divine a lot of information from their posts and PMs to help progress the game. Instead we now know that I've been on the crews side this entire time, which really doesn't help us at all. I was trying to avoid this for the very fact that it actually harms the game instead. So, for fairness, I am going to come clean about a couple things in light of this reveal. Feel free to judge me for this whatever way you wish. Traitors, I am not a Voidbringer. I am an Uninvested Crewmember, like Kas. From the game's beginning I expected to be killed early on, so my D1 strategy was to lure you into attacking me so that no valuable role would die, not so they would waste a night turn killing no one. Thing is, once people began to role claim to me I realized that I had to at least had to try to use the information I had to help the crew rather than end up a martyr again. I told a few of the players that I suspected of being evil that I was a Voidbringer - hoping that it would reach your doc - to selfishly keep me from being taken out. I also lied about having protection the night I was roleblocked. In other words, if you had called my bluff any of these nights I would currently be dead. Why am I telling you this? Because I really do feel guilty about my role in this game so far, and knowing that my actions have upset a few players I feel it's best to be honest from here on out. I will no longer be lying to anyone this game, whether I think them evil or not. In the words of Orlok, victory should not come at the cost of fun or friendship. With that said, I also want to apologize to everyone, including the mods. I know that I have unintentionally caused a bit of strife among the community, which is the last thing I want. I hope this post helps alleviate any problems I have caused. If an Elantrian decides to contact me now that I have been confirmed good, just know that I will ask them not to protect me, but another player who has a role that is actually vital. In other words I will be susceptible to death, so if you want to take me out of the picture, feel free. I have already passed on everything I know to the Mistborn, whose identity still remains a secret and whose alignment has not been confirmed. In the bottom of my heart I believe this is the right thing for me to do. Note that this is not me giving up. This is me giving you a chance. Until you do have me killed, however, I promise to dedicate 100% of my effort to finding you, for the sake of the crew. EDIT: Unfortunately I will not have enough time before turn over to do an in depth analysis on every player so far, but just in case the traitors decide to kill me tonight I will make sure I put it up before the cycle's end. I do, however, have enough time to gather some evidence to support a few theories I have. It is likely I'm going to abstain from voting as while I find it suspicious that Alfa hasn't participated much - if at all this game - until he began to collect votes I do not think that warrants a lynch just yet. Of the three, he is the least I would mind dying because with his vote on Kipper it doesn't even seem like he cares about the game, followed by Honey for similar reasoning (lack of contribution). As for Orlok, it seems I've already ruined his fun so far this game, and I would hate for his time to end on a bad note. While it's possible he is a traitor I still have my doubts, and I hate that the main reason why he's being targeted is because he spoke out against me.
  11. Didn't see this edit so I am responding now. Yes, he would have known. I was roleblocked N2 and Wyrm sent me a PM informing me just that. As for who else knew his role, he told me he revealed it to Kipper and Phattmer before me, but I don't personally think it's relevant given a Mistborn is responsible for his death and not the traitors, and the fact that he never mentioned it, only that my having the Mistborn attack him was logical. Have they been confirmed good? No. But I am of the mindset that the traitors would not be given one, only the chance to forge one, and that this player has not revealed any of the information I gave them to others. I should note that I info dumped everything I knew on them towards the very end of the last night turn, so even if they did disseminate the information out it wouldn't have gotten very far. Also, @Araris. Assuming that they swung the Kandra vote my way and that the Kandra complied with the masses, there is no guarantee Bridge Boy would have been lynched today. In fact, no one seemed willing to have him killed (I might be wrong about this), only scanned. I even advocated we keep him alive until we confirmed his alignment knowing what his role was, and they very well could have used that information to their advantage to keep him around another 96 hours, as if the tables were turned and he actually was our second (and likely last) Loyal Forger, we would be the ones unable to salvage any lost roles, not them. That being said, I am happy that you are looking at things differently than I am. I am by no means saying my thought process is absolutely right, I just believe that given what information I have and what I have observed of the Traitor's strategies so far, that is what they would have done - advocate I get scanned over Bridge Boy to delay his inevitable death. My suggestion, you do analysis of those who voted to scan him, I'll do analysis of those who voted to scan me, and we can compare them together and everyone can weigh in on who - out of all the players - is most suspicious.
  12. I don't agree with this logic for one simple fact. Bridge Boy was their Forger, which is probably the most useful role that they could possibly have in the long term. They would have done anything to delay his death as every night he was alive is a night they could gain access to another role over the crew, including having us waste a scan on me over him. This is why I believe Wilson stuck her neck out in the first place for him; better that a Voidbringer, who might be able to waste our time if we had left the Mistborn to attack her, be removed instead of their Forger. That would have been just as bad a scenario for them as us losing the Kandra D1 was. Thank you for inspiring me to write this post. It has convinced me even more that at least one traitor is among those who voted that I be scanned are indeed a traitor, and given me a bit more reason to believe that you are a traitor trying to cover your tracks. I can confirm that I was attempting to have a Kandra scan him. However, it turned out to be a bluff by a player who was told they were to be turned into a Kandra. They planned on using the excuse that they scanned me night 1 and would scan Kipper next, but when the forge failed and I called them out, they admitted the truth of the situation.
  13. The way I describe them is just my point of view, so it could definitely be biased in that regard. I would appreciate it if you did read through all his posts and made an opinion of your own, however, because while they certainly feel contradictory to me, I am conscious of the possibility that my perception is skewed due to being on the receiving end of the criticism and need a third party to weigh in so that I might have greater perspective. Normally I would assume that no traitor would risk their neck so far out to do what he has up to this point, but given the circumstances I guess I couldn't blame them for trying. Vocal players who frequently try to instigate discussion are always a high priority for eliminators, given it is their bane of existence, and so long as I am not role blocked - or even when I am that I have an Elantrian to protect me - they can't do anything to get rid of me. For the Kandra's protection, Alvron will wait until at least the second day of the turn to reveal the results, assuming that the Kandra did end up scanning me at all. That way it will be difficult for the traitors to figure out which player dropped the necessary code word hinting to my alignment. The sooner all players post the sooner it’ll get released, too, because then they’ll have less people to narrow down their search.
  14. After I made a post in thread that any other player who is actually a Voidbringer is basically guaranteed good since I highly doubt they would have more than just Wilson night immune, Kaid sent me a PM saying that he was a Voidbringer and that he wanted me to ask the HI to scan him to confirm. I personally thought that would be a waste of the HI because only a traitor would lie about being a Voidbringer as a means to prove they were innocent, so I saw no harm in voting that Kaid getting attacked / explaining why to the Mistborn, because if he survived that meant he was good and if he died he was very likely to have been evil. But for some reason he died anyway, which confuses me because he did not claim to be roleblocked when I told him why I was asking the Mistborn to attack him. So either that means he retracted his order on his own or a Mistborn kill will supercede Voidbringing, which doesn't make sense because then what would be the point of Wilson being one. Also thank you. Given how often and adamant Orlok has been in opposition of me, I was worried that I was doing something wrong, which is the last thing I want. I feel much better knowing at least one person is on my side.
  15. This is the last time that I'm going to address this subject. Before I begin, does anyone apart from Orlok feel that I have sacrificed any players fun in order for us to win? I am curious if anyone other than him genuinely feel this way, because if so, I don't recall a single individual who has spoken up about it, either in public or via PM, except for the "he should be scanned because of how much he knows" comments, which is perfectly reasonable. If you are not happy with how I have handled things this game, you need to address it. I cannot fix myself if I do not know what I am doing is wrong, especially while I wholeheartedly believe I have caused no harm to anyone. I am not a Mayor. A Mayor is someone who is confirmed good and demands that everyone tell them their roles or else he'll start killing them. Not only am I not confirmed good, but I have I not demanded anyone tell me any information, let alone ordered anyone to do anything. The most I have done is traded information - which everyone does - made requests, or proposed plans. I have made no decisions, only presented suggestions. I have given every player the freedom of choice, and never once threatened them that if they don't comply I will have them punished. I have no inner circle. The only person I absolutely trust with my life and my information in this game is the Mistborn. And the reason I gave my information to them in the first place is so that they can make the decisions for themselves knowing what I know. I have never commanded them, or anyone else, to do anything. Only offered my advice. Additionally, Orlok, you have literally challenged me on everything I've done so far this game. You challenge me now for "controlling the game," and challenged me when I suggested we take everything democratically. What exactly do you want from me? To not play at all? Because that is the only solution I see to this problem. I should not have to apologize for providing my input. That is the entire point of this game; for everyone to speak up and say what suspicions they have, what they have learned from their interactions with others, how they think the game should progress. I have no abilities to use on others but my words and my wit. What about me using that is so wrong? I'm not going to say I've been the sole person responsible for this, but I have made more efforts than most to involve everyone in our discussions since Day 1. I have stated again and again and again that it is essential to the victory of the village that every player talks, that every player become involved in the game, that every player present who they are suspicious of and why, as everyone has their own unique perspective and might notice something that others don't. As for the two traitors I've caught, my "schemes" - as some people want to put it - were never involved. I reasoned their guilt from pure analysis of their posts and actions alone, and presented it, out in the open, for everyone to see and for them to defend against. I was not the only person who had access to that information; I was not the only person who could have figured it out but looking over everything that's happened so far with extra focus. I should not have to apologize for being the first to do it, nor being right. Right now you are, intentional or not, advocating that players do not participate by making it seem like I have more knowledge and power than I really do. Every step of the way I have done the exact opposite of encouraging players to "lay back while everything is sorted." I have used every amiable tool at my disposal to get others to speak up, and I certainly don't have this all figured out. Even if I were able to determine with 100% accuracy (which I clearly haven't been able to do, as seen with Creccio) who the traitors are, I would not be able to do it without everyone's help. What really frustrates me about the fact that you keep bringing this up Orlok is that I can't tell if you're a traitor trying to blow my actions out of proportion to make me look like a bad guy - hoping that you'll be able to instigate in me having you killed for challenging me, which I absolutely will not do because that is against my core values and will only serve to strengthen the misconceptions you are spreading about me - or if you are a genuine loyalist who feels discouraged to participate because you have this idea in your head that nothing you can do will be of use, which is both false and unfounded. Araris brings up two good points, despite the fact that he's on my maybe a traitor list. First, no one has to listen to me. Everyone has the choice to ignore me. I do not have any power myself; any power that you perceive I have is provided by others. It was a gift, and I have a responsibility as a loyalist to protect the people who provided me their trust and to find those who wish to do my teammates harm. You, like Bridge Boy, have repeatedly made a point to demonize the things I have done when I have only done what any one else should do in the situation I am in. And the fact of the matter is, by you being an avid supporter of the Kandra scanning me you are making the situation worse. As soon as my alignment is announced everyone will know I am loyal, unlike before when people at least had doubts about me, which is a part of the reason why I didn’t want to waste time on it and why I think alignment scans are broken in a game with protective roles. Second, if the majority agrees that I have done more harm than good this game, that I have been a catalyst into making this game unfun, then you can always have me lynched. If that is the group decision I will bow my head and comply. But until I am dead or someone gives me a real reason to stop playing the way I have up until now, I am going to continue to do my best. And for me that means networking and analysis, as that’s the only real power I have to help. I did not ask for the role I received. I did my best on Day 1 to instigate the Traitors into attacking me so that they would not kill a useful role. An unintentional side effect of that was that I gained a lot of players trust. Unfortunately they chose to kill a Hemalurgist who revealed themselves to the wrong player instead of me, and by the next day - either because Kipper told Wilson or because she / one of the other traitors figured it out on their own - they knew what my plan was and began to look for other threats, hence their kill on Kas. I am only one living factor among 23, 17 of which should be loyal along side me. Some of those were just as suspicious of Wilson and Bridge Boy as I was, and they should feel equally as proud as I do about being right about them. The only thing that sets me apart from anyone else is that I had a chance to gather the evidence from the threads and presented them for all to see. And I have - in a few instances - even tried to delegate that out. A perfect example is on page one of this very turn where I asked if someone else could make a post with timestamps and summaries of all the Kandra scans, and one player, PK, stepped up to do just that. Long story short, I have done far less harm (if I’ve truly done any) than good for the crew, while it seems that to me that you, Orlok, have only twisted my efforts into something evil, which screams to me that you’re a traitor trying to get me killed the only way I can - via lynch - or discredited so people will stop listening to me. So if you are a traitor I just want to say congratulations for using my weaknesses against me. By offending my character and accusing me of being a tyrant, you have driven me to do exactly what the opposite of a true dictator would do, which would be to take you out of the equation for simply opposing me. On this matter I am done defending myself. I have wasted far too much of my time writing this; time that could have been allocated towards the benefit of the crew. Instead I am now in a poor mood and will likely spend the rest of this turn to cool off, as the last thing I want to do is spread bad vibes or hurt any feelings.
  16. @Kipper, it's only because you're a reoccurring factor in basically everything that's gone down, so of course I'm going to have my reservations. For the record though, that's just of the people who voted I be scanned, though I didn't include Orlok in there who is also a bit high up. While I don't expect all traitors to try to ignore it like Bridge Boy was, I'm sure more of the manipulation inclined players would ask to be scanned to make people feel less inclined to do so. Anyway, I'm significantly more suspicious of Alvron and Honey than you, but I just find it interesting that Wilson chose to go after Stink instead of you, given your more of a threat in most players eyes. Also, Kaid is dead, so I'm not sure how much good that vote will do.
  17. That is very true. I am more certain than not that the Traitors successfully Forged a Kandra Night 1, so it's possible they chose to scan Dow and found out he was a Surgebinder. Given that Dow told me I was the player he trusted the most and that he never revealed me his role, and that he had been inactive the last cycle, I doubt he told anyone else, so really that could be the only other explanation unless someone wants to come clean about being in contact with him. Personally, given how many more high priority targets there were (such as Alvron, Kipper, or even myself given all the momentum I had gained by N2) I am unsure why they would have chosen him. It's possible, but unless someone knew about Dow's program I don't think they would have chosen him, especially given his inactivity.
  18. @PK: My headcannon is that Bridge Boy did it to confirm his role / gain Stink's trust. It is very possible he is using reverse psychology on us, but I'm more inclined to believe he wouldn't have announced it in thread, let alone to me in PM last turn, if he wasn't actually good. Seems like something a traitor would definitely keep a secret for the sheer fact that it would implicate them in case Bridge Boy was found out, especially given how hardcore I was advocating that Bridge Boy get scanned. Also given how quickly Wilson and Kipper jumped on the "let's kill Stink!" campaign after Mail's death, I am pretty sure it's just the traitors trying to turn him into an easy scapegoat.
  19. I've personally made allusions to it, but referred to it as "staking out" for his protection. I don't remember it being explicitly stated. Kandra Vote Tally (6) Bridge Boy: Adavantos (1), Paranoid King (2), Elbereth (2), Lopen (1), Spaghetii (1), Ripple (1), Kaid (2) (10) Adavantos: Orlok (1), Kipper (1), Clanky (1), Kaid (1), Arraenae (1), Steph (1), Bridge Boy (1), Araris (1), Adavantos (2), Bort (1), Elkanah (1) (1) Alvron: little wilson (1), (1) Kaid: Hellscythe (1), Elbereth (1), Paranoid King (1), (1) Stink: Stink (1) Looking at this alone (will have to review the last two turns for exact time stamps; if someone else would take it upon themselves to gather these and post alongside them a summary of the accompanying explanation I would appreciate it greatly. If not I'll do so in about 16 hours), the players I am particularly suspicious of are Elkanah, Kipper, Araris, Steph, Bort and Stink, in order beginning with who I most suspect the most to the least.
  20. Well, it feels good that I was both right about Wilson and Bridge Boy. Knowing he was a Forger and that we already had one loyal dead, that was why I was both suspicious of him / cautious about having him killed. Seems another Mistborn took it into their own hands anyway. I know mine attacked Kaid; I asked them to in order to confirm if he was a Voidbringer or not instead of asking the HI to scan him. Though I have no idea why he didn't use his ability. He didn't tell me he was roleblocked when I told him I was going to have him attacked to confirm it, so that worries me. Wyrm, are you sure he didn't send in the order? In regards to Bridge Boy being evil, this is why I instigated the Kandra vote. I find it extremely unlikely that a traitor would have voted for a Kandra to scan him, and instead would have asked for me to be checked as they knew it would waste another 96 hours of us finding an actual traitor. That means we need to examine all of the players who advocated the Kandra scan me. Specifically, it's likely that they will have spoken up at a time when he was ahead of me in votes or when we were tied. The fact that they decided to kill Dowanx is very interesting to me. I am now more certain than ever that one of the players who were a traitor last round are this time as well. Just before last game Dowanx built a program that allowed him to track player activity; while I personally don't like idea of using something beyond your own capacity / wits (though I suppose building such a thing is technically that), Wyrm didn't seem to have a problem with it. It was with this program that we reasoned who the Hemalurgists might have been last time (Lopen, Hellscythe and Wilson) and how I managed to find one of the Feruchemists this game (because of a lead he gave me on players who used PMs within close proximity to the first day's turnover). Now, Dowanx built this program in particular to root out the traitors, and was actually disappointed he was evil last round because he couldn't use it to that means. That is why I think he was killed; the traitors were aware of this program and decided that it was dangerous enough to deserve his death. It's possible that any of us could have told other players, but I explicitly kept this a secret because I didn't want the traitors to find out about it and murder him as a result. So to the living former-traitors (Kipper, Alvron, Stink, Honey) did any of you mention this program to anyone else?
