I'm currently half-asleep and still lying down, so I won't say much as I'm on mobile and writing long posts this way is a pain. However, I feel the need to chime in regarding Mage. I've already mentioned this in my world PM, but I really don't think he's a member of God's Own Hate. If he was, I'm pretty sure his slip would not have involved doubting the existence of villagers. I might be wrong but I'd be willing to bet he's a part of a neutral faction, which is irrelevant to the win con of most Children, I expect. I personally feel like this lynch is an example of bloodlust overwhelming reason (reason being that lynching today is somewhat unwise since there's not going to be any info we gain from it, at least immediately, and if my interpretation is correct it won't bring us any closer to saving the Cosmere). That being said... Mage. You really need to think a little bit more about what you're going to say before you send it. And by that, I mean you have a tendency to reveal too much of yourself, particularly details that most sane players would want to see you die for, such as that time you didn't deny having an Unknown Pokemon and still expected not to be ganged up on. Another good example is this: Emphasis mine. Yeahhh... referring yourself as helpful to the eliminators to help save you from the lynch? Probably not the smartest thing to say... I was, and still am, very tempted to vote for you for this on principal alone. If you are a member of a neutral faction or Independent and offer to help Rayse like this you're as good as an ally to him in my mind, and regardless of if killing you fulfills a goal of mine, I will not hesitate to sever your body from your soul. Just saying.

Emphasis mine. Can confirm. Victor is a very nice fellow, assuming you're not Rayse or working alongside him.

Sorry I saw the opportunity for a joke and decided to roll with it. Since I can't seem to find anyone going by the name Aman I might as well retract my vote on him, though I really would appreciate it if people stopped confusing us with one another. In regards to Ecthelion, I would like to hear more from him as well. I do believe you're mixing him up with someone else, however, as the only other person he's voted for is someone called Daniyah, who appears to be a Cognitive Shadow. Maybe you were thinking of Grond (Elenion) when you mentioned that vote on Odin? I don't know who this Aman guy is, but people seem to keep confusing the two of us to the point where it's becoming irksome. Maybe if I help kill him people will refer to me by my actual name.

You know the PM Nyali sent you that explains your role? That's where you put your actions. However this is a day turn and most actions can only be used at night. So unless you have a free action that can be used during the day you'll have to wait. In the meantime you can vote to lynch someone.

I'd have to look back at previous LG D1 vote tallies, but 30.3030303030303030% doesn't seem very high to me. Not that it's a problem, necessarily. Right now, I feel like lynching anyone today is unwise, considering the fact that we won't even learn the results unless someone with the power to learn the role and alignment of the dead reveals themselves, which there's no guarantee will happen. I'd rather wait for Rayse and his allies to make their first move and examine everyone who was on the same world as the deceased.

Regarding Ecthelion, he suggested we kill Gladium Paleas earlier. Here's the exact quote explaining why: As for the rest, I'll ask around, but so far my world is pretty quiet. I've got some who's claimed they need to kill or befriend Hoid, another who says they need to find Khriss, while the rest haven't said much / are essentially lurking. Two of those lurkers have spoken up a little, and from what they've said, I believe they are good, but as for the remaining two I'm clueless. On the surface, it looks like my world's ratio is 3:2:2, where the black is those have yet to interact in any meaningful way, and therefore making it impossible for me to vouch for their innocence. If anything, those two unknowns are my best guesses at Rayse's allies, though it's possible that one of the two players I'm counting as Children are actually [Evil]. I suppose the same would be true for the potential Independents, but I personally think they're genuine. By the way, here's the vote tally so far... I severely doubted the plan would work when I suggested it. But knowing who was willing to go along with it and seeing people's reasons for opposing it were very useful data points for me to use to determine their role's intentions. That being said, I was mostly just irked by comment that "no-one" would go along with it. That's a very different statement then the plan failing because it would require everyone agreeing to follow through with it, which I've learned several games ago will never actually happen.

At first, I had thought that Magestar was just speaking obliquely. If I'm understanding the context of this "village" term appropriately, it's referring to a group that specifically opposes "eliminators," yes? I agree that in the this war, Rayse and his allies could be interpreted as "eliminators." But I could also see Magestar referring to the fact that the word "village" was never specifically associated with the Children before. Of course, due to recent comments, it is now clear that he is neither a Child or Independent. That leaves him as either an advocate of hatred who is attempting to deceive us, or a member of a faction with an unrelated goal. Personally, I think it's the latter, since I believe that if he was working with Rayse then he'd know about the Children, which would result in a different slip. Since I already said I would make no enemies other than those who wish to see Odium rule, I will not aid in his death today. That is unless someone can present information (preferably factual, but if you have some contextual evidence, feel free to present it) that would point to the opposite being true. In which case I will gladly help show him the way to the Beyond.

I ended up editing "in essence" in there because I know for a fact that there is an eliminator and village faction. That being said, I had a theory about the existence of a 17th Shard faction, who's primary goal is finding (and likely killing) Hoid, based off a comment made by a player in my world PM earlier. Now I have more information, which points them to being someone like Sigzil, since they eventually described their win con as "murdering Hoid or getting him to take you as an apprentice," but initially I believed he was one of Galladon, Demoux or Baon, and I wouldn't be surprised if those three were out there trying to find him as well. Since the 17th Shard in the books appear to be trying to stop Hoid from interfering with Rayse, I doubt their win condition has anything to do with him, or the village, and if they are indeed a faction rather than each of them being Independents, then their victory will certainly mean a village AND eliminator loss, hence why I could see this game being interpreted as a faction game. Besides, the rules seem to imply that there are different groups out there who's wins would result in village loss, eliminator or not... which Sart just quoted.

You're right about this being a faction game, in essence. If one faction fulfills their win condition, regardless of what it entails, then the game ends, effectively resulting in the defeat of every other faction as well as every Independent that wasn't fast enough to achieve their own personal goals. Here's the issue with Rayse, however. I am willing to bet his goal is to Shatter the remaining Shards... only problem is, he doesn't know who possesses them. So what is he going to do? Go after everyone who he thinks could be a Shard, or believes is allied with them. Whether or not Rayse is your direct enemy, there's a chance you could get caught in the cross fire. This is true for every one. Likely not you, PK, considering the things you've been saying, but I'm sure there's going to be plenty of unnecessary casualties. Especially when you consider that there are other players out there with the ability to kill and grudges of their own to follow through on. Although this may not strictly be an elimination game, there are certainly people with eliminator-esque goals, which means they are a threat to everyone else, whether or not they are in direct conflict.

Still not sure who this Aman is, but it seems like you're responding to me. That is a thought worthy of consideration. I doubt many people would follow through with it though, as Rayse and his allies will be more likely to kill someone on the more populated planet in order to hide, which makes everyone who goes there a target.

Emphasis mine. This phrasing bothers me immensely. I think the term best associated to it would be errorgance. In case you want to know why, the error comes from the fact that multiple people already said they were willing to go along with the plan, which contradicts your "no-one was ever going to follow" comment, while the arrogance comes from your certainty about people's inevitable reactions. I can tolerate the rest of the statement because half of it is opinion (based on the fact that the results wouldn't benefit you at all) while the other half is ultimately correct (that it shouldn't be the only thing we discuss). That being said, a part of me is interpreting it that this plan would somehow harm you, rather than have no affect on you at all. If your goals only really consist of being a tourist and sacrificing yourself, why do you even care? I suspect an ulterior motive is the answer. I'm putting this in a different color because it's out of character, but this comment bothers me as well because you weren't the only one. Either my first or second analysis post that game was literally filled with red flags Mark was waving about. I just didn't pursue him because it was his first game and I wanted him to have a chance to play and learn, and since I died shortly afterwards, no one was around to point it out when it actually became important to kill him. My point in mentioning this is that you're talking yourself up a lot more than usual, at least, that I've noticed. This is just one of the many weird vibes I'm getting from you. I personally think movements should be tracked, though perhaps not openly. Regardless of the current planet I inhabit not being my homeworld, I have decided to remain here indefinitely, in order to constantly take note of who comes and goes. If at least one person on every other world is willing to do the same, I suggest we all reveal our notes in 4 or 5 cycles to study them for anything suspicious or inconsistent. Additionally, I think it is important that we keep the world's as evenly populated as possible. If I'm not mistaken, kills can only be executed towards someone on the same world as you. If we keep each location even, it's inevitable that the killers reveal themselves, due to process of elimination. With our numbers, that means we should aim for three worlds with 7 and two with 6.

I'm still trying to sift through the discussion I missed earlier, though I wanted to respond to this now. I am willing. I see no harm in it, for there's a decent chance Rayse already has this information. Even if he doesn't know where everyone began, there's no one who wouldn't know after the fact. However, I have one question. Is your intent to say which planet you're on and with whom, or only those who you started out with? For the moment, I think I'm in favor of the latter. Partly because of what Bard brought up regarding a planet destroyer, but mostly because I don't think the planet itself really matters; at least not now. In my case, it makes absolutely no sense for me to have ventured to the planet I am now. I suspect that where we ended up after Rayse tied his little knot was determined by pure chance, perhaps intentionally by him as a means to disorient us and simultaneously position his allies in each local so that he can gather more intelligence. It is because of that belief that I am interested in knowing how everyone was grouped initially.

It would essentially be the same thing as claiming a world publicly and make it very easy to confirm that person's identity. I don't think the God Beyond (GM) would appreciate that at this point in time. However, I think it is something we should seriously consider in a few later cycles, depending on what occurs.

Amanuensis? Who's that? It is I! Victor! I do doubt Rayse's allies are all from Roshar . I'd also be willing to bet that there are more enemies among us then him and his crew. However, one sure way to win a battle is to divide your enemies and overwhelm them. On one hand, they would have access to everyone one of us, but shouldn't we expect themselves to spread out on their own? This way we force them to do it on our terms, not theirs. Of course there will be Independents that we can not account for. It is inevitable for them to be revealed. Where they go should be entirely up to them, but they should expect to explain themselves eventually. There's plenty of advantages, and at the foremost is information. If you think our enemies haven't already began with a considerable amount of information than we have, then you're sorely mistaken. In executing this plan, even for a single cycle of the stars, we learn a great deal. I've already mentioned a couple others, like allies being able to find one another without risking mass reveals. As for your second counterpoint... I do not understand it, honestly. Would you rather attempt to detect Rayse from among 33 people, or ~7? As I mentioned before, those who's homeworlds are currently out of reach are completely unknown to us. We have no idea what sort of goals they might have or abilities they might possess. Either way, they're going to go to the world that is most beneficial to them. It's the enemies we wish to trap by forcing them to choose a location, rather then leave them to execute any plot they wish. This is just a guess, but given Rayse's intent, I severely doubt he would want to stop at shattering those two Shards, which means he's eventually going to have to travel to achieve his goals. I don't want mass reveals to occur. At least not yet. My intent is to get the innocent souls of each world united with one another while simultaneously dividing the enemy. Then they'll likely have to explain the reason at some point, which is inevitable. It's not a perfect system, of course, but it helps those whom it is relevant to greatly. Is it so bad, confining them to one world? If that's their plan, then that means those scattered elsewhere are untouchable, and they'll eventually become very easy to pick out. A valid point. And in my opinion, worth the risk. Why? Because with faction wars come factions; assured allies that fight the same cause as you. As I've said before; my enemy is only Rayse and his allies. I do not care about those sorts of petty squabbles, though I'm sure the ones involved do. In a way, this plan helps them get closer to achieving their goals, too. Without order, there is only chaos. As difficult as it may be to establish one on one contact, that should not deter us from forming alliances. Glad to hear it! And I'm sure they are. Which is why I want to force them to make a choice, rather than allow them to plot and do whatever they want without resistance. Rayse will surely have a champion. I myself would not be surprised to find Eshonai, Venli, or perhaps even Taravangian among them. And who's to say what villains he may have allied with from the distant corners of the Cosmere. Who is this Aman everyone keeps speaking of? No matter! I've already said that my only qualms are with Rayse and that I wish ally myself with specific people from my world. I vow, in the divine name of Adonalsium, that every word I speak has been and will be a hundred percent true. That color is reserved for our disguises. It is nothing more than flavor.

Greetings, fellow Worldhoppers; it is I, your beloved Hero of Eons, Victor! What's that? Haven’t heard of me, eh? Perhaps you know me by one of my many other titles, then. Does Prelude of Luck ring any bells? How about the name Fateblessed, or Fortune Incarnate? Still no? Strange… though I suppose it doesn’t really matter, as you all surely know who I am now! If you have heard of me, then you must know just how brilliant a strategist I am. Let me tell you… I’ve already got an idea to help us catch Rayse and in his allies in the act! Of course, it’s not the sort of thing I can execute alone. It’s going to take a good deal of cooperation from us all for it to succeed. But if we do, I firmly believe it’ll ensure the continued survival of planets and people all across the Cosmere! First, I must reveal that the world I currently inhabit is not my own. I suspect that many of you are away from your homeworlds as well, and thus I propose that, effective immediately, we agree to Worldhop back to the place we originated from. I see the looks on your faces, and understand why you might be skeptical, but please… seriously consider the idea thoroughly for a moment. If every innocent soul holds true to their word, then we will be that much closer to narrowing down the forces who wish to destroy everything we love and hold dear... and here's how. Those with [Evil] intentions will either: 1) be forced to reveal their place of origin, which they’d rather keep to themselves (aka, Rayse originating from Roshar), or 2) attempt to deceive others by traveling to another planet. Each world can then use their unique abilities to test each other’s claims… or, at the very least, use the knowledge of that claim to watch out for anything suspicious, so that when someone is caught in a lie they can be outed as traitors. On Nalthis in particular, this could work incredibly well. The Awakeners can all use the “Follow and Report” command in a chain along with no other action to confirm that each person is indeed an Awakener. Anyone who doesn’t comply, or uses another action at the detriment of another, will be discovered quickly and can thus be interrogated. In this event, I suggest that if the residents of Nalthis wish to remain anonymous, they handle the situation on their own. If they cannot find a way of rid themselves of the traitor, however, then the results should be presented to the rest of us so we can take care of them as a team. Of course, not every world will be able to accomplish something like this. I’ve performed extensive research into my own world’s magic system, however, and am confident that I could come up with a similar plan to prove my fellows innocent. Regardless, there are many other benefits to come from this plan. For example, it is common knowledge that all of us have our own personal goals; most of which, I reckon, align with other people from the same planet. I, for one, wish to contact a handful of individuals from my world immediately, as I’m confident that it will greatly improve the Cosmere’s chances of survival. That being said, if you are not from my world but are innocent, I have no qualms with you… in fact, I would love to work alongside you, as well! I aim only to do one thing: Unite the Cosmere against Rayse and his allies. To ensure it, I am willing to aid any innocent soul that approaches me achieve their goals, so long as it is within my power to do so. Keep in mind, however, that if your goal involves murdering another innocent, I will refuse to assist you. So, everyone… what do you think of this little idea of mine? I would like to hear a response from each and every one of you, even - no, especially! - if you’re against it. If you think it unwise, please explain why. If you do, then surely you have thoughts of your own to help improve this idea, or develop an even better strategy! No war is won by the efforts of a single individual. A war of this scale and importance is truly going to require a great deal of trust and effort from us all. If we wish to put an end to hatred, we must do it together, now or never!

Little under two hours left, eh? I've been thinking about creating a game with individual win conditions for a while now, so I am very excited to see how this one will unfold. @Nyali, if you could guess, at what time between the close of sign ups and start of the game do you think we'll receive our role PMs? I only ask because I have a theory that play styles are going to be heavily dictated by role assignment (unless people choose to outright ignore it), but even then, I think everyone would benefit from some time pre-game to contemplate specific tactics for their role. Oh and, good luck / have fun, everyone!
