  1. (2) Mailliw: Jondesu, Cadmium Compounder, (3) Itiah: Gancho Libre, Alvron, Lumgol, (1) Alvron: Itiah, (2) Snipexe: Mailliw, Amanuensis, I was very close to voting for Alv here, but I'm apprehensive of following Itiah's vote, considering the situation. Mailliw, on the other hand, I'm willing to give a bit of support for some meta reasons (first game playing with him in ages), but more importantly because he is the only player that's repeatedly contacted me via PMs to get me involved in the game. Not exactly alignment indicative, but its nice to know he cares. Plus, most importantly, this makes the lynch even more divisive. With three solid and distinct people on the brink of being lynched, it becomes more likely for an eliminator to be voted on. How things go from here will hopefully be very informative. EDIT: @Araris Valerian, @Coop772, @Karnatheon, @Nohadon, @Rathmaskal, @Snipexe, @STINK, @Furamirionind I think we would all appreciate some more votes. We only have a few hours left.
  2. Actually the thing with that comment was I completely forgot this was a conversion game until a few minutes after I posted and then I found it amusing enough to leave. No ulterior motives, I assure you
  3. I was really hoping we could narrow down who the Forsaken might be mechanically but given what rand said earlier about them potentially having double roles, that seems impossible. All we can do is narrow the list based on suspicions at this point. I kind of severely doubt rand is an elim. The whole situation with the emond's fielders doc seems way too convoluted to be a plan he would come up with or feel comfortable staging. Steel is most definitely village. No way the elim would attack Aginor because WGG or not, everyone knows they aren't a Warrior of Fal Dara (and thus not hardy) and Rand would know they aren't Rand, so... yeah. Sadly Steel wouldn't target himself anyway so it's not very useful for narrowing things down other than the lynch. I've believed Furam and Karn to be village for a while and honestly it's probably time I look over all of their posts to reevaluate them and make sure I'm not being duped by my own initial reads. If I'm right about those, that leaves CadCom, Mark, Joe and Sart. Considering CadCom was the second vote on BR, it's relatively unlikely they are town. That just leaves Mark Joe and Sart, two of which are pinch hitters, and the first is someone I was suspicious of anyway. Honestly I think my mind keeps jumping back to Mark because my subconscious is trying to confirm my own bias. I also have a bit of a strong ego, admittedly, so tend to double down on my reads of players. EDIT: If I survive the night, I'm most likely voting for Mark. At this point I don't think I'll be able to get over it until I see it for sure.
  4. That's referring to the fact I know my alignment. From my perspective, if there's an elim in the Warriors it can only be Mark. If there's not then it's neither of us. I personally can't know until he's dead or the game ends. All I know is there's 10 players left and few leads, and I was suspicious of Mark for the Rath thing already. I only brought it up again because I thought the Circle would be the elim top priority and the fact only 2 have died in six cycles suggests they don't know who they are.
  5. I'm sad because I locked Alvron village for the rest of the game in the very beginning but I kinda want to vote for him
  6. I haven't said or implied it's obvious. The first time I asked is because Mark asked in the doc and I asked the thread. I can't remember who replied but someone said they thought it was likely. When I say "if I assume" I mean just that. If it isn't compromised then Mark is clean. I'm just trying to fit the pieces of the game together now that we have a small number left.
  7. I mean, of course it's one sided. I know what I rolled, I don't know what you did, and I have no problem with being targetted by Rand other than the fact I know it's a waste of a turn. If I assume the Fal Dara doc is compromised then I know it's you, and sure, it's flawed logic from anyone else's perspective. My point in saying it isn't to convince anyone, it's just thoughts running through my mind based on what I think and know. That all said I'm not sure what other post you're referring to. I think I replied to everything though.
  8. Speaking of Mark and I, I also support him getting checked. I was thinking that it's very unlikely for an elim to be in Moiraine's Circle by this point. Of all the groups it seems the most important to kill, and to kill them quickly. Without one there, it becomes more likely for one to be in the others. We know about an elim fielder, and I know that I'm village, so that just leaves Mark.
  9. I'm grateful for the extension. With another death happening tonight and the low numbers we have already, it would be very good to discuss the state of the game. Especially since I don't expect to live much longer. EDIT: 14 hours later there's no discussion. Just because there is no lynch tonight doesn't mean we should be silent guys. Who do we want Rand to try killing.
  10. Well that complicates things wonderfully at the very least I thought Forsaken couldn’t have multiple roles
  11. Hey everyone! Just woke up after a long day of flying and I’m officially EST so I’ll actually be active when most others are. Yay. Less yay is us lunching Moraine I cant say for sure but it I had the chance to be more active I think I would have kept pushing the thing I noticed yesterday regarding Steel. That was a pretty good sign of alignment imo Okay so if I’m reading this Rand thing right, he can only kill Forsaken, right? Normal agents of blight are immune? If so, there should only be Aginor left. Mark and I can’t be him because we are Fal Dara Warriors, Randuir can’t be because he is an Emmonds Fielder. Steel is clear unless they intentionally attached Aginor to throw us off. That leaves Furam, Karn, CadCom, Joe and Sart. Should we vote on who Rand attacks?
  12. I have 1% battery and can’t find a working outlet in Atlanta Airport so I may not be on the rest of the turn. Going to keep looking tho
  13. In the interest of maximizing how productive I can be in this game, can someone fill me in on what I have missed? Specifically dealing with why certain players are getting votes. Otherwise I’m going to end up voting for STINK
  14. Hey everyone, just settled into the Paris Airport and am searching for a place to eat and somewhere I can buy an outlet converter since I left mine back in Zagreb. Going to try and do some analysis once I get food since I’ll be stuck here for the next couple hours. I have been thinking more about the Mr Doctor thing I noticed today and it really seems to me they are village. I also think that the elims may have gone after Steel to make it look like wanted to get rid of Doctor’s dissenters. Given the end game tag, I would really rather not have another mislynch. I’ll start with looking over Mark’s response and consider that whole situation more thoroughly. At this point in the game the village should have a decent amount of information to compile and use to solve, and with the failed attack on Steel + this thing with Doc, that narrows our pool of suspects down significantly. EDIT: Okay so I read Mark’s reply from the previous turn again and I have some responses. Regarding his first interaction with any player being a now-known Elim, it’s far from evidence and shouldn’t really be a thing to hold against him. I like how he worded his suspicion in this reply, too, about BR’s activity yet lack of constructive input. It’s a perfectly valid reason to be suspicious of someone, and given how early in the game it was there really wasn’t much to go of off. Heck, I even recall someone calling what he did swinging at low hanging fruit? I should try to find that passage again because now I’m wonderingly if it’s was an elim defending her. Regarding the not joining the Metalynch, that even hints at less. @Mark IV, you chose you vote for randuir then. Do you still find him suspicious? Can you lay out all the reasons why (even if you may have already)? I have in my early game notes to pay attention to him and I havent admittedly. I’m still not entirely sure what all the Fielder’s drama is about. As for the thing with Rath losing his vote to defense, I still kind of think it’s a slip and honestly it’s the only real reason why I’m suspicious. Maybe I didn’t explain why effectively before, so let me try again. Let’s say me or you (as in whoever is reading this now) is an eliminator. We know for a fact that Balthamel didn’t cancel Rath’s vote, and we know for a fact that Rath didn’t sabotage because he isn’t on our team. That means from the get go we know the cause. Now let’s imagine the same scenario as a villager. We see the vote isn’t gone, and what do we assume? Nothing! Because unless we know that players alignment for sure, there’s three distinct possibilities with critical implications. Mark’s question to Rath wasn’t remotely accusatory or even really that inquisitive. Off the top of my head (I’m posting mobile) he literally said “I’m assuming you lost it from defending?” When you consider the fact that Mark was suspicious of Rath, why ask it like that? Of course an eliminator is going to come claim that. The way to get a helpful response is to challenge them, to make them sweat by pointing out the possibility of being evil, and accusing them. For someone who said he was suspicious of Rath and was considering voting for him, he didn’t even really go about it in any meaningful way. It was as if he wanted other people to question it without really caring about if it worked or not. That’s my read of the situation at least. When I imagine eliminator and villager psychology, I have a lot of trouble imagining a villager acting that way. But then the thing in the warriors doc happened and confused me. I can’t really think of a valid scenario where an eliminator would claim they’re evil and take it back right after a villager responds, other than maybe casting doubt through confusion. It would be a lot better if they just denied it from the start, imo. A villager, on the other hand, doesn’t have much to lose in claiming eliminator to an eliminator, but a lot to gain based on a response. And thus I’m torn.
  15. I believe so as well, and am glad to have one less question mark to consider. Really bad luck that HH got hit again, though, since he was already cleared by Randuir isRand's last attack I'm getting ready for my flight now but I will definitely read Mark's response sometime today and reply, and also hopefully talk about Mr Doctor since he is one of the players I remember being suspicious of early on in the game. On that note, though, I want to point out that despite Steel being attacked, Doctor managed to write a post in direct response to Steel's accusations within 16 minutes of the write up being posted. If Doctor was evil, then he probably wouldn't have thought much about it preemptively since he'd expect Steel to die, and at the very end of said post he declares it looks bad for Steel that he was ganging up on him with Fura and considers voting for him, in SPITE of Steel surviving an attack. That sounds less like an eliminator with knowledge of kills ahead of time and more like a villager who missed the failed attack. Maybe that seems like a pretty silly thing to read somebody on but it takes a bit of... I'm not really sure how to word it? Some kind of mix of confidence and impassiveness?... to pull that off, let alone quickly. I'm not sure many people are capable of it.
  16. Hey everyone just checking in to say that I’m sorry I couldn’t be on long enough to participate today. If I survive tonight then I should be able to take part tomorrow, even though I suspect I’m toast tonight thanks to the fact there will be 3 kills best of luck whoever makes it to the other side
  17. Because there have been no kills? What findings would these be, exactly? I get the Seekers but what can Coinshots gather? Also sorry for barely posting so far. Haven't really had a reason to, if I’m honest. But now that there’s 3 eliminators (maybe?) it might be time for me to help kick things off.
  18. Ah, okay. So there's two reasons I'm wary about voting for Mark right now. In the past there's been instances of changing a lynch to a player who's not available towards the end of day turn and upsetting them because they didn't have a chance to defend themselves, so I'd like to extend Mark that courtesy. The other is while I was working on my big post about him, he posted in the warrior doc that he is an eliminator. After I posted it and found his comment, I laughed about how I just worked hard trying to figure out his alignment only for him to just straight up admit it, and then I expressed happiness about successfully finding an eliminator. Then he says he isn't actually a Darkfriend and that wanted to see what I'd say in return, and that he thinks I'm good because if I was evil he thinks I would have claimed back. I don't really think it's good reasoning for him to trust me, but I don't really understand why, if he were evil, that he'd claim so and take it back immediately. So really I'm just kind of confused and want to see what he says. At the top right of every post is a < looking symbol that when clicked provides a link directly to it. Just paste that link into your reply and it'll make it look all fancy like.
  19. As of right now, Droughtbringer is the only one with votes (2) from Furamirionind and Mark IV. Regarding Mark, I'm personally not going to vote for him today anyway because he lives in India so it's crazy he's awake at all and I'd rather him get a chance to respond fully, especially after the exchange we had in the Warriors doc after my post against him. Ninja'd by two people responding, ahhh! Let me finish! AND THERE'S ANOTHER! KARN! I'm sorry about not being more active. I probably could have found more time to get online when I wasn't preparing for my Finals, but I kept telling myself I'll sit down and do some work later and later never really came.
  20. Apparently you remember my past games better than I do xD I'd completely forgotten about that whole situation. That said, this isn't anything so bold. I actually posted the same day I saw the Mark slip that I was suspicious of him, and I believe it was before he claimed he was in that doc, too. Either way I think it's a genuine mistake on his part
  21. Ah right, should we be defending? Every time I remember to I always do but I'm not really sure if it's tactically the best call.
  22. Looks like Mark had 20 posts. I'm going to post links to them here as I comb through them for clues so that people can look over them quickly and formulate their own opinions. I completely missed this about a medical emergency. I'm sorry to hear about it, bud, and glad to hear it's alright now. Not going to bother reading into him having little thoughts after D1. Would be hypocritical as I've been even less involved this game. For the most part I'm ranking his entrance as NAI. Ooo. Direct interaction with BR. He accepts that she could be confused and even says it's understandable, but then he asks if she's usually so vocal. Makes a point of him not playing with her in a long time and being a stranger to her playstyle and asks people to talk about BR some. Could be early game distancing, given the unlikelihood of the first player he comments on being a now-known elim. Ahh. So here he challenges Karn's opinion that the elims would kill Mat. I actually don't disagree with him about that but accusing Karn for it seems a bit of a stretch. Overall pretty NAI. Just a follow up after Karn's response. Feels NAI to me. Just helping Karn vote mobile. This post actually has some meat to it. After rereading the first cycle he says he has two strong gut feels. He doesn't specify who, but it does seem BR is one of them and that Karn is not. In this post he says he thinks Karn is village so it's possible if he was evil he changed his mind because it seemed unlikely to lynch him. There's nothing specific about the post that really stands out to me, though. Confirms Snip is in the Fal Dara Doc. Advocates the Snip relynch, which is honestly fair. Can't really hold it against him. Questions Rath and votes for Snip, nothing I really find notable here. Joke posts and RP. NAI. Suggests if he was an elim he would have left Snip alone not going to read too much into that, though. Oh right! This is what rang alarm bells for me the first time! He had no idea that players are informed when their votes are negated, and then he proceeds to assume it was because of a defense action. Given the fact the elims have both a role block and can have their vote negated by sabotaging, and that they would have no idea what happens when a villager defends, this feels like a slip to me, like he knows for a fact Rath was village and wasn't vote blocked by Balthamel. Bit of a larger post. I find it interesting he wants to vote Rath while he's already assumed his vote was canceled by defense action. Why would he think an eliminator would defend? My assuredness on the slip intensifies. He also gives us 3 names. Rath, BR, and randuir. Mafia rule of three says that when an eliminator gives three names, one is a teammate and the other two are village. It's not a foolproof rule, but if I'm right about Mark slipping up with Rath then there's a good chance randuir is village, too. Next post he continues to argue that Rath's vote negation came from defending. I'm not really getting the progression here. Thanks Karn for clarifying ways the vote could have been negated. NAI. Here he votes for randuir over Metaterminal. Given Meta flipped town, this could have been an opportunity for him to oppose a bandwagon he knew would make people look unfavorable without seeming like he isn't contributing. Could have also been a genuine concern, but with the whole Rath thing I'm thinking not. Does some genuinely helpful math stuff, but tonally and strategically this post seems very different than the rest of his. I can't help but think Mark may have realized the slip he made earlier and tried to overcompensate in the opposite direction. Anddd as I'm doing this, Mark ninja'd me Okay so he confirms for us the second gut suspicion he had way back when was Rand. The fact that he's voted for Drought now is interesting. If I'm right about the slip and Mark is evil then Drought may very well not be. I'm not entirely sure about his response to me, but it's late for him and he's sleepy so I'll just wait until later. EDIT: Oh, I just was thinking that it's interesting BR was the first player he commented on and one of two he had a strong gut suspicion of, but he never voted for her and she turned out to be evil. Kinda thinking evil!Mark makes a lot of sense.
