I will explain things in greater depth when I'm sober
-
I did have a choice, though not at that specific point I guess. If I was an eliminator I would known better than to do a D1 WGG when I know nothing about village role distribution, not to mention the fact that the kandra is a complete unknown. I even said in the post right after that I'd have done a WGG, but more likely on the 2nd or 3rd night. After all, besides Fifth's paranoia, it's not like I was in danger of being lynched. And honestly if it was a WGG, why wouldn't I claim Thug in PMs instead? It would have been much smarter to say what I did in the thread about someone else saving me while PMing people I "trust" that I was a Thug after all. Not to mention that if I was an elim!Lurcher, it'd be better to not give that away, wouldn't it? My point here is I was honest, and the honesty is coming back to bite me in ways I couldn't anticipate because I didn't know enough about how the game was distributed at the time. I made the same assumption as everyone else - that there was only 1 Village Lurcher - and I acted on it, both on D2 and yesterday. Now I guess I'm paying the price. Regarding you, in my PM with @Fifth Scholar I was almost convinced of a world in which you were evil, Drake, but it made less and less sense as I thought through the implications, while Fifth latched onto it. I began to suspect it was a reverse-WGG to discredit you/him/me and to set up multiple mislynches in a row. It's part of the reason my suspicion of Fifth has risen so much. The over-exaggeration is more a personality quirk I've developed in the last few months. My friend group at college often says 100% when we don't actually mean 100%. Same goes for the over-use of exclamation marks when I'm excited. Of course, on this subject you really have to take me at my word, so if anything I'd ask we just put this aside as NAI. I can't attest for things Fifth ran with that we discussed in PMs. After your attack/survival I was literally racking my brain trying to figure out what happened and what it means. I believe I've even rambled in a few other PMs like that. Basically I was putting my thoughts onto paper (PMs) to make sense of things and bouncing those ideas onto other people. The problem is, Fifth and I fundamentally disagreed on several points, like you flipping Village = me flipping Eliminator. It's a large part of the reason I was no longer willing to join his vote on you and was searching for alternatives. Devotary lays it out pretty well here. For those who are familiar with me as a player, do you think I'd overlook something as huge as a village!Lurcher coming out later? Doesn't it make a lot more sense that I thought I was the only one?

Good to know I had no idea! Hope you enjoyed your trip. You've missed a lot, so I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I mean, any theory of me paired with another player is immediately wrong. But sure

If my opinion is still valid, I think posting more frequently would help. Even little pieces of thoughts and opinions are better than none. Inb4 Aman/Snip elim theories

Amanuensis: A good boy. Has done no harm to anyone (other than Sart. Sorry, Sart ). Mrake Darshall: Obviously village if he was saved by Sart. Ventyl: An absolute legend. This man broke a whole role in his first game ever. That's the kind of stuff we should aspire for. No doubt in my mind that he's village. Devotary of Spontaneity: Based on Drake's attack last night, I believe the elims were trying to set Devotary up for a mislynch after his death. Also seems very genuine in our PM. Would be perfectly okay giving her every last one of my Villager Bucks (TM). Lumgol: A nice lady. Probably honest about her role, and unlikely to be evil. No real proof of innocence, though. Aonar: While a lot of people think Aonar's post about Xino on N2 makes him look village, I'm not so willing to jump that gun. An eliminator on Xino's team would probably feel genuine frustration with their lack of activity as well as a Villager, if not more so because it effectively costs them a teammate. I wouldn't pursue Aonar immediately, but I don't think he's as Village as others seem to. I would examine which players commented on Aonar's frustration of Xino, as they could very well be villagers eliminators trying to get him some credit for Xino's kill. Snipexe: Wait? @Snipexe is in this game? Oh right, looking at his profile, he's the one who brought up the elim!Fifth stuff. Since I suspect Fifth, I'll give him yellow, but he really needs to be more active going forward, and scrutinized by others more. Straw: @Straw where are you? Have you been keeping up with the game? The only post I remember of yours was when you voted for Fura over Devotary. As usual, Straw is probably village, but like Snipexe, needs to get involved more. Araris Valerian: As usual, Araris is an enigma. It's very hard to recognize his alignment due to playstyle, so unfortunately he's doomed to forever remain within my Process of Elimination. Would lynch sooner rather than later. Rathmaskal: One of my top suspects. Was present at the end of D1's turn over and didn't participate in the Ark/Drake lynch. Since D2 I have suspected the eliminators were trying to get rid of Fura and Devotary while ignoring him on purpose. Would Coinshot/Lynch in a heartbeat. _Stick_: Funny how Stick speculates me being on a team with half players I'm village reading and half I'm confident of being elims. Would not be surprised at all of a Fifth/Stick/Rath team, based on her post this turn alone. Fifth: My top suspect. At a certain point an Honourary Eliminator is probably just an Eliminator. Has been pushing narratives of a lot of innocents being evil, and has been on the wrong side of every lynch.

I don't blame ya'll. It really is my own fault for going all-in on there not being two village Lurchers. Which is why I'm done defending myself and hoping I can actually pin some elims, knowing this.
-
And the tunnel continues when I'm dead, someone please kill Fifth
-
Sigh. I led you all on a merry chase, huh? Is no one going to ask what Elim!Aman benefits from going all out on Sart like that? If I knew Sart was a Village!Lurcher, I would also know that getting him lynched would end with my lynch too. So why would I do it? Why would I not let the Devotary lynch go, or the Drake lynch? Why would I decide to back off of Fura? Why would I advocate a no lynch D1? Literally the one thing that could happen to drag your tunnel back onto me full force.... I hate to break it to you, Fifth, but your instincts are not as correct as they seem. Neither are mine apparently, because Striker gave us two Lurchers and I have absolutely no clue why. Wasn't a WGG, and honestly tired of defending myself from this accusation. At this point I'm just going to ask the Coinshot to shoot me so I don't waste the Village's time, and so I can finally get some answers on what's been going on this game. The second, but of course no one is going to believe it until I'm dead. I probably wouldn't if I were anyone else's shoes, but that doesn't make it any less true. With the existence of the Coinshot, I think we're definitely overestimating how the Mistborn plays into balance. Sure, while it's possible a Mistborn could just choose any of the power roles and stick with it, it's becoming increasingly obvious to me that it's not a factor in deciding the rest of the roles. I would also appreciate a Rath lynch, although a part of the reasoning is slightly hypocritical. It's because Devotary realized that I'd be a suicidal madman for doing what I did yesterday as an elim. It just makes no sense. It's very clear I had no idea that Sart was a Villager, not to mention the sheer confidence I had in him being an elim should be an incredible indicator that I've been serious this whole time. I'm re-evaluating my stance on Fifth, too. I think he was going for the Drake Mislynch so hard because he knew as soon as Sart died, my death would follow. Now they can't mislynch Drake later because Sart made it obvious he was a Villager. It makes a lot of sense considering we blocked both the elims first and second night kill. Not even going to entertain the idea of me being a Village Lurcher too? My suspicion of Stick just shot way up.
-
Sart is... what? This has to be a joke.
-
Sleep evades me, so I can answer this one. Nevermind back to bed
-
(4) Sart: Fifth Scholar, Amanuensis, Ventyl, _Stick_, (2) Devotary of Spontaneity: Sart, Mrake Darshall, (1) Drake: Aonar, ED1T: I have a lot of things I need to do early in the morning tomorrow, so with this all said and done, I'm going to bed.
-
Maaaaaaaaaaaybe. I meant that I suspect him of being an eliminator though, not villager. Only people who were aware of my role until now were Lum, Vent, Fifth and Drake.
-
That's correct. Also I forgot Rath. I'd probably rank him above most of the others.
-
Not necessarily confident they're village, but at the very least not an elim. I was hoping to find out about a Seeker to get them scanned just in case, but I'd rather not say anything more on that matter. I'm 100% certain about Sart, which probably clears Devotary and maybe Drake, since Drake knew I claimed Lurcher while Sart appears to have been convinced my protector was Fifth. This also probably soft clears Lumgol and Ventyl for the same reason, which leaves Aonar, Stick, Straw, Snipexe, and you.
-
I suppose. Either way I've requested a Seeker to scan Xino's Killer tonight, so even if I get Hazekilled/Attacked, the village should know for certain.
-
I personally don't believe Xino's killer was the kandra, no. Going for a borderline-inactive seems extremely peculiar for an SK kill.
-
IIRC, elim win con doesn't involve the kandra, only the village one does. There was no evidence of a kandra kill from N1 or N2 (unless you think Xino's killer is the kandra), so I don't really think it'd be much of a factor. 4 elims to 4 anything else is still parity / victory. EDIT: Also there doesn't seem to be a specific way to find the kandra, so really the best strategy for pinning them down is to play the game as normal, imo.
-
Sart. I've been arguing for this lynch in PMs for at least a few hours now because I find it extremely unlikely that there's two Village Lurchers. Given the talk of reverse-WGGs Fifth had in that group PM, I've been suspicious of Drake being framed by an attack/protect last night. I also have found it odd that you've argued for the narrative of two village Lurchers existing (paraphrasing, but he suggested Drake, Fifth and I were all Village, which is extremely odd from a Village!Lurcher perspective, as I would think you'd be immediately suspicious of another one, which Fifth had claimed). I also think your tunnel on Devotary has been disingenuous, and that a part of the attack/protect on Drake was with hopes of making Devotary looking guilty. I also believe that with Bard's death by inactivity being telegraphed + the Mistborn dying D1, the eliminators would feel more comfortable pulling a move like this because at the time there didn't appear to be a Coinshot. With a Vanilla Rebel it's more likely that there's 3 elims still alive, which means if you got Devotary lynched today then turned on Drake and then me, the game would be over by N5.
-
I was concerned about a elim!Hazekiller blocking me to render my role useless, so I only claimed to two players. @Lumgol and @Ventyl can confirm this, and it's part of the reason why they've been vouching for me without much explanation. I then later revealed it to Fifth and Drake in a group PM as well, but this was before Drake's survival. I've been legit losing my mind all day because of this.
-
I'm not. I revealed to him not long before he claimed in the group PM, and he suggested a gambit to see how you/Araris would react. I thought it was fine at the time but the events of last have made me question a lot. Honestly I'm pretty confused because two village Lurchers seems unlikely. I wanted to claim this in thread earlier and propose myself for today's lynch to finally put this WGG nonsense to rest, but he advised me not to.
-
I knew it Second big reveal, I'm a Lurcher too and protected myself N1. You evil, Sart?
-
@MrakeDarshall I hope you'll be on soon. As it stands you're due to get lynched.
-
Okay so I'm going to be honest. I don't agree with either Devotary or Drake's lynch, so I'm not going to vote there. @Devotary of Spontaneity do you have any suspicions you'd like to pursue over yourself? @Lumgol, @Rathmaskal, @Straw, @_Stick_, @Snipexe: none of you are voting, but the turn will be over in 6 or so hours if my math is right. I need to sleep early tonight so I'd rather hash this out soon. Can you share your thoughts?
-
Ah. When you said counting it out, I thought you meant you're not considering it.
