  1. Thats a good question. Gonna have to think about tht one. Definitely he will come up with an in world name for it (if he incorporates it that is). Yeah it would give him a scientific tool to work with, so it isnt just 'Magick did it'. I love seeing that in his stories, magick being explained and demystified by science.
  2. Yea Amaram would be one. Ghostbloods another I think. Im sure there are plenty of other nefarious organizations who are going to want to get to Urithiru across the Shattered Plains (if the other oathgates really are locked), and someone could aquire it. I mean what if Szeth were to have surrendered on the ground? Should Kal still have killed him? Not directly asking you Storm, more towards everyone who thinks Kal should have killed Szeth outright.EDIT: And honestly, I think one of the previous posters is correct. Kal is going to tear himself apart over not saving Szeth. Just because we dont see it in the preview chapter doesnt mean it wont happen!
  3. By that reasoning (which is Kal shohld have killed him to keep to his vow to protect, or to be more of a soldier) you should also think that Kal should have killed Moash & Mraize, too. I mean they were trying to kill Elhokar, and he did vow to protect him, therfore speary speary death death for M&M. Kals reasoning was(most likely) Szeth was thousands of feet up (most likely) in the air. He had lost his stormlight, so he couldnt save himself. And if he lost sight of the FREAKING HONOURBLADE (!), it may have fallen into even worse hands. The Honourblade was the legitimate priority.
  4. Maybe Brandon will throw something in about tapping & storing higgs boson particles, and it doing something to help with the whole organ crushing thing. That would be awesome for him to throw in the higgs boson. *In the future era books obviously. I highly doubt era 1.5 will discover it.EDIT*
  5. The only other one I can think of, thats confirmed, is Zahel. But I wanna know more about Nazh. How does he know where Shallan made landfall? How does he find her sketchpad (IIRC)? How does he know what he knows?! I need to know these things!
  6. I thought the same thing. Kholinars Windblades. And to change your profile pic, go to your profile and it should say change pic on the 17th shard logo.
  7. Yeah thts my mistake then. Just felt like it was trying to be shut down rather than explored.
  8. Mine was a really long time. Between 6 to 8 months. I didnt mind. Just finished Mistborn, found out he would send them to you if you asked, so I did. Figured it would never happen. It was a very welcome surprise when they showed up in my inbox.
  9. I would suggest instead of saying 'Greatshells cant exist because their shells would crush them', try to theorize how it COULD evolve & survive (using our understanding of evolution of course, like you said). Treat it as if it truly exists and try to figure out how. Seems like more fun to me anyway.
  10. Shuriken! Ninja stars all day!
  11. Considering bothe eras of Mistborn take place before the knowledge of atoms and quantum forces, its no wonder the explanation isnt in the books. I'll go ahead and assume they will figure all this out in depth in eras 3 & 4.
  12. Yea, I was thinking you couldnt make a spren form two objects at once, considering Kaladin had to switch from spear to shield. But that could just be due to his inexperience with the bond. I for one think it would be awesome if Radiants could expand their cognitive identity to alter what they can do in the physical realm(isnt that what Soulcasting is anyway?). Stormlight 3 cant come fast enough for my liking. Hopefully BoM can satiate me for a while
  13. Yeah I was gonna say a torrent of reasons were just gonna keep rushing in until you posted those words. Was going to suggest if you did decide to put it down for a little while, just pick up Warbreaker. There is no way you couldnt love that ending.
  14. I dont agree. Kaladins oaths are to protect those who cant petect themselves basically. He would basically just be nightblood if all he should do is kill everyone who has a chance of hurting people. He doesnt KILL to protect unless he absolutely has to. Plus people who are paragons of virtue dont kill out of mercy. Basically kaladin wholly rejects that notion when it comes to killing Elokhar(it would be a mercy kill so Alethkar can survive, or some such nonsense). *EDIT* And I may be mistaken, but didnt Syl know Szeth wasnt a Radiant after his & Kals first meet up? Thought she could tell because he didnt have a spren. Or maybe Im mixing up info from Szeth POV from WoK? And when it comes to Kal retrieving the Honorblade instead of Szeths body, Syl did basically scream a command that he NEEDED to recover that Honorblade. And he did JUST resurrect her, so I can forgive that. Plus Szeth wasnt truly the danger in that situation. The Honorblade was the true danger (at least to me). You cant risk somebody else finding it and having to rinse & repeat the Szeth arc with someone else. Plus mercy killing is just an excuse a lot of toons use to justify their revenge.
  15. Oh, for sure I think she was being honest. She did get really upset when Vivena tried to suggest the God-King stole her Breath. Which, to me, strikes as her being honest.
  16. Holy mother of Lift, you really did have a list! And thank you for it, because I have a hard time remembering this stuff.
  17. I like the way you think
  18. She didnt have to make it up on the spot for it to be a lie. In fact, with Jewels and Denth, I would expect it to be a lie. But yeah, she did say she traded it for a good sum of money to help save her fathers business. To the God-King, not just a Returned.
  19. Huh. Never thougt of it that way, but it really is the same thing. Oh, and thank you everyone who said they also do it. Makes me feel a lot less crazy knowing Im not alone in doing that.
  20. I think it would depend on if the shardplate is summoned the same as a living blade. If its a living suit of shardplate (nahel bond and all that) then, as of now, I dont see why it couldnt act as a closed system. Although cracks and a beating might weaken the closed system. As for hijacking someones stormlight, I would assume it works on the same type of principle as ingested metals for allomancy. Which IIRC, you cant effect them.
  21. Okay, Im not a disney fan, but I would pay to see a 10min clip of that for sure lol. Big ol cheeser on his face
  22. Domino the Destitute makes me think of Kaladin. Sentry the Defiant, also. Hound of Blood (and Rank). Basically anything from Coheed and Cambria makes me think of SA. If you havent tried it yet, do so. It all syncs up Wizard of Oz Pink Floyd style, I swear!
  23. Pretty sure Taravangian knew Heleran was seeking (not sure if he found) the Skybreakers. Also, pretty sure he knew Heleran was dead while Shallan was a guest in Kharbranth. I think she was there about 6 months(?) after that whole incident with Kal in Amarams army.
  24. I feel safe in saying this is going to be the only graphic novel I'm going to read. Just cant get into them.
