I've actually had my brother and best friend agree to listen to an audio book. Now I just have to figure out which one I'm gonna start them with, and how to get them to ACTUALLY listen to it. Should prob start with Mistborn I think. But hey, its a start!

Never thought I'd be addicted to a percentage feed for a book, but I'm well and truly immersed now.

Didnt even think of that. I figured Clod was Arsteel while I was reading, but it never dawned on me that he was Returned when he died.

Stormlight Archive Book 3(+) Readings
The Ninja Yodeler replied to Sabrina Stormshard's topic in Stormlight Archive
Kal is by far my favorite toon (behind Hoid, but hes not solely SA) because he feels so real to me. Shallan is the annoying one if you ask me. All she does is block out what she doesnt feel comfortable acknowledging. She only just became interesting (to me) halfway through WoR. I mean honestly, what would you be like watching everyone you try to protect die around you, while you constantly live on, to experience it again and again? Probably a little 'whiny' & 'grumpy', I'd bet. -
Well if a soulcaster is going to soulcast stormlight into stormlight, I would assume they have other Radiants around who needed it, and couldnt get it, somehow. But it seems kinda redundant. Unless the soulcaster acts as a sort of stormlight water well.

Facepalm-worthy Moments during Readings
The Ninja Yodeler replied to Patrick Star's topic in Stormlight Archive
It took me until I found coppermind ( about 3 reads in WOK & WoR) to realize that the segments at the beginning of chapters contained a full letter. I was amazed when I found it. And here I thought just seeing Hoid a few times was awesome. -
Is there anybody in the whole Sanderverse...

Well, if it was from Vins POV, she probably 'raised a brow'. But I'm betting if it was TenSoons POV, her eye probably just kinda twitched. -

Killing a Steel Inquisitor. What would it take?
The Ninja Yodeler replied to Thermophile's topic in Mistborn
I was assuming we had modern tech. But yeah, you'd need an American Sniper type dude to pull it off. But i think its doable. Create a shell with heavier metal on the outside, disposed of mid flight, left with aluminum bullet with more accuracy. And I KNOW thats doable. And if all else fails, space based weaopnry -
Im not even met with immaturity. Just straight up apathy. Been trying for 4 years to get SOMEONE I KNOW to read Mistborn, SA, Warbreaker. Hell, Ive tried to get them to read a small little Novela. Blank, glassy stare

*Edit Im an idiot. Did the exact thing I accused others of doing. Now I must accept my stupidity & move on. Proceed!

Killing a Steel Inquisitor. What would it take?
The Ninja Yodeler replied to Thermophile's topic in Mistborn
Sniper at 1 mile distance using aluminum bullets. .50 cal. Heads gone (or at the very least torso's in half). Bullets moving fast enough he wouldnt even hear a sound. And I doubt atium would help, since he would be unawares. -
I swear I JUST read in a transcript tht it is actually pretty easy to switch from one type of investiture to breaths. Damnit, now I gotta find it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t8tZ7z32_rbrih1rh1mq26LeNdeHurnjbFds-x5TkoQ/mobilebasic

I guess a few COULD have been his children. But arent we told tht they are his friends that he tried to save after he became the Sliver, by turning them into mistwraiths/kandra/slaves? Maybe Im just confused. Unless you meant the kandra called him father because he created them. Then yes, in a more reverent( as opposed to the biological) sense, they are his children.

Now tht would be awesome. I love Lift. Shes tied with Axies as my favorites (from SA). Kaladin is a very close second. Of course, nobody can top Hoid.

I hope your brain can catalogue all tht information just as quickly. Or else a lot will be missed. I read pretty fast as well, and I have this problem. Have to stop after every ch and think about it. Well I have to do tht with BS books, not much else though. Plus I usualy read 3 or 4 books at a time. Info gets mixed a lot.

Where's WalDo: The Kandra Worldhopper
The Ninja Yodeler replied to Kobold King's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah, tht does kinda rule him out. I aint mad about it. I wanna know more about Aimians and exactly wht happened to their people. -
I would suggest coppermind.net. It answered a lot of my questions starting off. And yea, I guess you could say Ruin is like entropy, and preservation is.. well, preservation. And YES! Read EVERYTHING Cosmere related you can. You'll have a great time with them. I wasnt a huge fantasy fan either. Now I cant stop thinking about all the connections and characters and where everything is going. Love it. Read it.

Does Dalinar ever raise a single eye brow? My mental image of him is a constant, but slight, scowl. -
Should I read this series? (No spoilers please)
The Ninja Yodeler replied to Plaeggs's topic in The Wheel of Time
I found A New Spring at my neighbors house when they were moving a little over 3 years ago. Came out after a lot of the books were released, but takes place about 20 years before Eye of the World. It was a very easy read and got me acclimated to Jordans style somewhat. Some chapters can be slow. But they usually always have a satisfying end to those threads when it comes to a head. It was basically my second fantasy series. Hadnt read anything really since the last Harry Potter. Needless to say, I am now mired up to my neck in it. I dont really need to say read it. You will. And you will keep going for the Trollocs. Poor 'little'guys.- 15 replies
