So, I've been listening to some of the Big Finish audio dramas, and they're actually pretty good. I can't wait for May, when they'll do some full cast 10th Doctor... things.

Quick Fix Game 12: The Time of Reckoning
RippleGylf replied to phattemer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I also wouldn't mind getting PMs. I find it interesting that we have all sorts of deaths going on, and none of them have been Reckoners. I'm going to vote Bridge Boy, as he is voting for Maill without any real arguments. That is a big red flag in my mind.- 366 replies

So, I've been trying to iron out an idea for a new epic. I don't know where I would put her, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to roleplay until I have her powers figure out. I won't post a full profile yet. Basically, she can cause objects to sink through other objects. During contact, these objects act as if there is no normal force (if you happen to be familiar with somewhat basic physics). This does not work on currently living things, and affected objects cannot go through currently living things. (I may revise this to just include humans, as the main reason for this limitation is because I don't know what it would feel like and it's just simpler if we don't think about that.) Tentatively named Abnormal.

If it is an important role for the village, keep it secret. We don't want the Reckoners to go and kill all of our powerful epics.- 366 replies

Anniversary Game 2: Return of the Koloss
RippleGylf replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, seekers can find out roles, correct? If you were in contact with Hael, you could nominate people to seek, and through that find out their roles. Being able to find the more dangerous roles is a nice advantage for the eliminators. I don't know the level of communication between you and Hael, I'm just speculating. -

Orlok's post does seem a bit suspicious, but unfortunately not too atypical. I guess maybe Silver Dragon, for voting for RP reasons? I don't like voting this early on, so I'll refrain for now until we have some more discussion.- 366 replies

Anniversary Game 2: Return of the Koloss
RippleGylf replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hello! Exams are mostly over at this point for me, so I hope to be more active now. After mostly reading through the thread, I would have to say most of my suspicions lie on Maill. Revealing Hael as the seeker does not seem like a useful thing for the village. If Hael ends up being spiked, then it may not be such a bad idea, but I feel like Hael has just been really unlucky in finding spiked. Nothing else in his posts really strike me as being suspicious. -

Stormgate, I think it would probably one of the poorer places to build an epic army in Astoria. With its proximity to Shively Park, Lightwood would probably notice and report to Lucentia about it.

For Red Light, how long does the object's velocity remain 0? Are all of the forces affecting the object temporarily nullified? By punching a person's chest, will it set his entire body's velocity to zero, including internal organs?

So, my opinion on the matter is that I rather like the upvote system. It does seem like the value has decreased over time, but I haven't really noticed since I joined after most of the upvote inflation. I would really not like ranking based on post count. On a previous forums I was on, rank was based on post count, and the majority of my high rank was due to a forum game. (Vending Machine, to be specific.) If we were to have a post system instead of upvotes, there would be much more clutter posts, partly due to a sudden lack of upvotes. I wouldn't mind having badges, though.

And then Tinkle Time died. I don't even need a post from him.
-
Just put up Lightwood's first post in Astoria.
-
Sunlight shone on the former park, a patch of green now isolated amongst the shining city. The garden mumbled with the sounds of workers diligently harvesting the various foodstuffs. Lightwood peered over the field of plants before her from her tall, home-grown wooden tower. Bursts of color from more exotic varieties popped from the mass of green foliage. Regardless of colour, every plant was unique in this garden. Pink pomegranates and blood-red strawberries grew side by side. From here, the entire city’s food supply was made. At least, as far as plants go. No one had yet figured out how to grow hamburgers, as far as she was aware. Still, she provided as many sorts of fruits and vegetables as she knew. A grand gathering like this happened only every week or so. Some plants she could grow in an instant, but getting a guava tree to grow in a week took a lot more concentration. Even with all of her efforts, there were a few of Astoria’s other epics who wondered why she grew so much tropical fruit. Alright, the durians may have been a bad idea, but why would anyone want pears instead of mangoes? Pears were absolute rubbish. Sure, she grew a couple varieties anyways, but only at the request of Lucentia. That, and according to the ever so wonderful Financier, they were evil. She could hardly resist growing them if it meant annoying the delusional mathematician. Returning her thoughts to the task at hand, Lightwood looked over the plants, making sure that they were all ripened to perfection. Satisfied, she blankly watched all of the powerless workers painstakingly picking the fruit. None of them would dare to disappoint. She enjoyed these moments where she could just look into the distance and think of nothing whatsoever. Before too long, however, her wonderful moments of nothing turned to boredom, and her mind returned to the Financier. In this wonderful world that grew to her liking, for the most part, why did there have to be so many idiots? She didn’t need any stupid mathematicians to tell her how to organize a garden. If she wanted seven rows of plants, she was going to grow seven rows. Murmuring, her gaze turned into a glare at the very thought of the encounter. One by one, the workers began to leave the garden, their work complete. Soon, Lightwood would have to oversee the shipment to the stocking center, which meant another pleasant meeting with the Financier. Sighing, she climbed down from her wooden throne and started toward the fruit truck.
