  1. I want to say it's the Belgariad...
  2. Well. That was sudden. One moment, the Epic seemed ready to kill her, the next, offering her a job. Surely something was still wrong. "Of- of course," she replied, daring to speak normally again. "I specialize in emotional manipulation. Doesn't work on Epics, but is quite effective with vanillas."
  3. This is why Ripple's a teetotaler. RP aside, the cipher is interesting, but I have concerns with the attention it would draw to the players using it. It is rather obvious who has to hide their information, and I think a traditional code hidden in a lot of text would be far more effective.
  4. Ripple suddenly burst into the conversation. "Actually, a chasmfiend bookie wouldn't be completely toxic, as bookies are primarily cookies, and cookies are always delicious. So, said chasmfiend cookie would most likely be rather tart, but by no means terrible." Looking proud of herself, Ripple returned to her studies of lines and dots.
  5. I am also confused. If you're referring to the nodding subserviently, that is Heartsleeve, not Countdown. Also, her speculation into his powers not affecting her is purely her own speculation. I can clarify those things if you want.
  6. Wait, am I not the only person in the universe who has heard and loves, "To the Sky" ?
  7. That sounds like a great idea! It would probably involve a lot of collab posts, but that shouldn't be a downside. I could send you a PM to discuss the characters, if you'd like.
  8. She nearly gasped. It shouldn't be a surprise, of course. He probably figured that out the same way she did. Well, that could be some comfort, at least. If his powers possibly couldn't affect her, then she needn't feel so worried. Right? "Yes," she said hurriedly. "H-Heartsleeve, at your service." The relatively low Epic bowed her head subserviently. Higher Epics seemed to appreciate gestures like that, most of the time.
  9. This got kind of lost... One thing that I'll need to know is how the vanillas would live in Astoria. Where they would stay, how they would get food, etc.
  10. Well, I was thinking of maybe seeing how family relationships would work while there's Epics around, so perhaps a couple of twins? Would that be alright?
  11. Astoria?
  12. Just got a short Heartsleeve post up in Salem. Hopefully it's okay. Also, are there any good opportunities for vanilla characters anywhere, or any that need adopting?
  13. Heartsleeve rushed into the car. Sparks, she thought. Fear crept into her face. This was obviously a Very High Epic, and one that she didn't want to mess with. The green electricity was proof of that. Of course, this distinction came too late to be of any use. All of this for a stupid piece of paper. Not even the actual paper, just looking at it. She hated this feeling. The powerlessness of being called "girl." Of being considered less than what she was. He probably didn't realize the full extent of what he had done to her. Probably just acting like his usual High Epic self. The echoes of a once familiar voice bounced through her head. "You useless idiot. What did you think you could do here? Find a job? Don't you remember all of those failed applications? Who would ever want you to help them? And you've always known that you have to control words, but you never do. You disgust me. This is why they all hate you." She shuddered as she sat down in the unfamiliar vehicle. Just give it time. It'll go away. Eventually.
  14. Wow, that's really cool! I would never be able to do something like that.
  15. I found this on Pinterest, and thought Twi might like it.
  16. I was under the impression that his original plan was to erase Clara's memories, not his own.
  17. I really don't like the sudden lynch train on Maill. Kynedath, your vote change doesn't make any sense from my point of view. Sorry, everyone. This past week's been really stressful for me school-wise, and yesterday was just not a very good day.
  18. MR8 was a bit of an exception, and in MR9 that was purely for my role. I was accidentally killed early on in that game simply for a typo. The useless bit is more my sentiment than yours, although it's fueled by the accusations of lurking. This situation seems to happen at some point every game, with MR8 being a notable exception. I simply don't have the time to look over every post and draw suspicions. I started with a Beautiful Aviar and lost it to Hellscythe.
  19. Well, so much for actually being useful this game. I really wanted to be a good, contributing villager this game, but apparently I just slip too easily into the role of useless villager, so let's kill her! No role, no aviar, she has no use. It is rather frustrating to only be suspected when you're innocent. (I just switched between all three points of view. O.O) Maill really is one of my only suspicions. I'm still not convinced that he's not an eliminator. critical critical perilous perilous edit for vote retraction
  20. Just saw the rest of Season 9. There were... a lot of feels. One thing I really don't get though...
  21. That picture seems very fitting.
  22. I'll put my vote on Maill again, for aforementioned reasons as well as the odd vote manipulation. While I realize that it was probably not Maill who moved the vote, it's odd that it would be moved at all.
