Long Game 15: ...The Shards Themselves...

I second that emotion. Sonder the Doormat will be missed! He obviously wasn't killed for his role, and he made it quite clear he wasn't(and didn't want to be ) a hub of information, so I'm taking it as them wanting to take him out because he is very vocal.- 1686 replies

Yeah, I really should just follow you blindly at this point Phatt. Wilson Since you were right about Wilson, maybe you'd be right about others. Who do you think the Mistborn should kill?- 1686 replies

Long Game 15: ...The Shards Themselves...
TheMightyLopen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Why thank you! I definitely wasn't asking for anything like that! In all seriousness though, I just thought it was funny because it was just so similar to what I'd said. I guess it just shows me that I should talk in thread more. Whether I do or not is another thing though. Wow. You actually posted something like that. Awesome. Edit: So I was talking with Adavantos about roles, and I thought I'd voice some of my thoughts on here instead of restricting them to my PM's. I was just saying how even though GM's can be tricky(or trolls to be blunt), I believe they all hold to certain restrictions with how they decide about roles. They can make things tough to guess at first, but at some point, the guessing isn't really pure guessing anymore. Say the Traitors have a Mistborn. That would almost certainly mean that the Loyalists have extra protective roles such as Elantrians and Voidbringers. So, if we think there are too many protective roles for TG, we can reason that the Eliminators have a Mistborn. Or someone is lying about having a protective role. It would probably be pretty clear if they have an extra kill role, so that's not the best example, but I hope you get my point. GM's try to make balanced games, so we can guess Eliminator roles through getting a better feel for what amount of what roles there are. Just like how Adavantos said if the 3 Voidbringers are being honest about their role, it stands to reason that the Eliminators would have an Awakener(role-block) to counter that. I do agree with Kasimir that we should use this as leads, not lynches.- 1686 replies

Long Game 15: ...The Shards Themselves...
TheMightyLopen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, it's not as in-depth as I wanted it to be, but here's a list of the players that have yet to post this Cycle. 1. Alvron: Don't you have anything to say, Alv? 2. Orlok: Usually an active player I believe. 3. Clanky: Same as Orlok. 4. Phattemer: Called out somewhat by Kasimir, and has yet to respond or say much which I guess is the norm for him? 5. Dowanx: Someone said he doesn't say much unless he's called out. Hey! Dowanx! Over here! 6. Bridge Boy: Trying to slip under the radar after nearly being lynched maybe? 7. Honey Badger: Has yet to post the entire game I believe. 8. Bort: Lives in the UK, so possible explanation for his absence. 9. DeathClutch: Could you tell us how many Hemalurgists contacted you? If any? 10. Alfa: Called out by Kasimir, but hasn't responded. 11. Elkanah: Newer player, don't know much about them. 12. Zed: Has not posted yet either. 13. polkinghorn: I don't think they've even been online in a couple days That's a lot of players that haven't contributed to the thread yet. Almost half of the remaining players. I believe most of the players (excluding polking) have been online since the new thread was put up. There is still a lot of time left in the cycle, so it would be nice if we could have some more opinions on the current events. Any suspicions you have would be great as well. This list does not account for the players that have posted in this thread, but haven't really contributed anything. I'm not that detailed in my lists. I would like to nominate myself as a potential candidate for Forging as well.- 1686 replies

Long Game 15: ...The Shards Themselves...
TheMightyLopen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, I didn't know Mail's role. We hadn't actually discussed much in my PM with him. Out of the four who are known to have known about Mail being a Hemalurgist, I must say, STINK is the most suspicious to me. I'm not sold on his guilt, but I have to agree with Kasimir and Kipper that there was most likely a reason they chose him, rather than it just being a fear-kill. What other reason could there be than that the Eliminators knew his role? Losing a loyal Hemalurgist this early is very hurtful. If we don't forge it on someone at night, then I would bet that the Eliminators would forge it onto one of their own, just so it won't be available for future use. If Mail was the only loyal Hemalurgist, then they will definitely try to forge it for themselves since if a loyal crewmember get's it, it will show that the HI has turned. If a loyal crewmember get's it, and there's another loyal Hemalurgist somewhere, we can know that the HI hasn't turned yet at least. Creccio had no reason to reveal that he knew about Mail's role if his claim that he told no one about Mail is true. If he had told someone else about Mail's role than he would be suspicious if he did not come forward, so he(Creccio) would say that he knew his role before anyone called him out for it. But since I haven't heard anyone contradicting him about that, I'm inclined to believe him and am not suspicious of him for being aware of Mail's role. Kipper and Wilson? Well, I think they may be a level above me in terms of manipulation and just playing this game in general, so I have a hard time leaning either way with them. They both knew that the other knew Mail's role, so them revealing that they knew doesn't really do anything for me. I would like to hear Wilsons opinion about Kippers "baby." Having a Kandra scan Wilson seems like a good idea, except for the fact that that may draw the Eliminator kill to her if she's good. Maybe an Elantrian could protect her this upcoming night cycle as well as the Kandra scanning her. If she's going to get confirmed(as close as possible anyways), then I would rather she doesn't die right away. That leaves STINK as the only other known player to know about Mail's role. That doesn't necessarily mean that he's guilty though. Doesn't Mail do role trades with a bunch of people? Granted, STINK's way of hearing of his role is probably more reliable than hearing it from Mail himself, since I doubt Mail was honest with everyone, but it's not very conclusive evidence against STINK. I also agree that we shouldn't just waste the rest of this cycle talking about STINK. I don't think he has any more to say and it would probably be best to focus elsewhere for now. We still have plenty of time left in this cycle. I would like to hear from some more players. It's been a lot of the same players arguing with each other and the majority of players are staying quiet. The more people that voice their opinions the better. I'm going to go through the player list and see who has been suspiciously quiet. I'm not saying we go full Contribution Crusade or anything. Just get some more players involved in discussion. @Elbereth, about Mistborns. I would hope that no Mistborns would just randomly target anyone, and after the first cycle, that's pretty much what they would be doing. There is still a chance that a Mistborn did in fact attempt to attack someone, because if they attacked a Voidbringer, it would not show up in the write-up. Wyrm states that Voidbringers effectively stop an attack from even happening and that they will not know if they are attacked. I read that as not showing up in the write-up. The chance of that happening seems fairly low to me though, so I'm of the opinion that there were probably no attacks made last night. Which is fine by me. Role reveals. I agree with Kipper about this. I know sometimes the power goes to my head. I do try to be careful with giving out information that's not mine to give, but will take his warning to heart. Kipper, that part about Wilson does kind of seem like a conspiracy theory to me. I'm not sure how everyone else feels about Wilson right now, but her involvement in Shallan's lynch isn't suspicious to me. There was no way for her to know that she was a Kandra, and I agree that the targets up for the lynch at that time were not ideal. I can't say I like how the lynch ended up, but I don't think anyone is really blaming Wilson for it. So, if that's true, why would she draw more attention to herself through a Surgebinder? That seems too convoluted and needless to me. I don't think she would use a tactic like that when really, she doesn't have anything to answer for and could probably dissuade any suspicions against her far more easily by talking. She can be very persuasive. I took that note to be someone just messing with her. That may not be the case, but I don't want to read too much into something if there's really nothing there.- 1686 replies

Well I'm not a super active thread poster. There are a few reasons I haven't posted much though. 1. It's still early in the game so I haven't formed a lot of opinions on others that I want to act on yet. 2. I like talking in PM's more(if anyone wants to PM me with any questions or anything feel free). 3. If I do have something to say, it's usually been said by the time I'm gonna post. I don't want to just echo what others already said. (Just look at how that worked out for Shallan)- 1686 replies

Long Game 15: ...The Shards Themselves...
TheMightyLopen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
First off, you were gonna kill me on the first cycle last game?! While I would've been sad, I also would've been honored to be the first Eliminator kill. But seriously, that was why you were gonna kill me? Not because of my amazing and renowned ability to find Eliminators? That wasn't even the reason I was checking the thread. I was just checking on rule clarifications that might be important to the game. While you would've gotten lucky since I was a Hemalurgist, I don't think that's an efficient way for the Eliminators to find important roles. I think people have already said something to the same effect, but I just thought I'd put in my two cents. Emphasis mine to respond to specific things. What exactly would one of the previous Eliminators(from LG15a) getting killed by the current Eliminators mean? I don't know what we could learn from that except that maybe someone was mad at you for ending the game the way you did. I don't remember anyone voicing complaints about it so I don't see how that would have any effect on what people think. I guess I can say why I voted for Wilson last game. It didn't look like there was gonna be a lynch when I posted so I was thinking that if the Eliminators wanted to get Wilson killed all they would've had to do was use there Feruchemist to change someone's vote to her, but they would only do that if there was a vote on her at the time. If you look back in the original game, I retracted my vote right before you guys swooped in and lynched Wyrm. I was hoping that the Eliminators would use their Feruchemist and vote on Wilson and that might indicate that she was good. There was also a single vote on Alvron at the time, so I thought it could also give us information if they moved a vote to him. I almost asked Orlok to remove his vote on Alvron to remove the threat of him dying, but decided against it since I thought it might reveal my plan. Too bad you guys didn't take the bait. With a few people saying they were very much in favor of a Day 1 lynch in this game, I didn't think that tactic would work this time. Yeah, so that was my Master Plan. Regarding my role guesses. I actually think that 5 roles might be a tad bit too much for the Eliminators to have. I'd say 4 is probably more likely, especially if they have a Forger. Which I think they do. Maybe take away the BioChromancer and replace it with another roleless. 4 roles and a Forger seems too good for them.- 1686 replies

Long Game 15: ...The Shards Themselves...
TheMightyLopen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Here's my thoughts so far. Alvron put Wyrm's name in red. A few people voted for him, but only one was actually suspicious of him for it. Bridge Boy, why is a joke suspicious? And do you really think the Eliminators would do a last second lynch? That just seems foolish to try. As for the HI. Having the Hemalurgists contact him still seems like a good idea to me. I don't know how helpful this is now that the roles have been changed but I was a Hemalurgist last game, so with me, Wilson, and Deathclutch, that made 3 good Hemalurgists. With the increased players I don't think Wyrm would lower that amount, so if it's changed at all, I would think there would be another one. Good or Evil is hard to say. In my role guesses last game, I guessed they had one, and even though they didn't, the possibility exists. One thing I was thinking about concerning the roles is the possibility of 2 Mistborns. I think this could allow for more roles(protection ones especially) since there is a significant increase of players and I don't think Wyrm would just make a lot of roleless players. With the Forgers I can understand why there were as many as there were last game. But with 6? new players, that makes for a different game since it will no doubt last longer. One way to keep it from dragging on too long in the case of a Mistborn dying early would be for there to be 2. Which would undoubtedly cause a need for more protective roles. There could just be more Feruchemists or something, but if I was a GM, I would've made 2 Mistborn. If there is indeed 2 Mistborn I would say that the Eliminators do have a protective role. Picking between Voidbringer or Elantrian, I would say Elantrian because of the flexibility it gives. My role guesses for last game wasn't particularly great, but I still like to do them. I'll just say my Eliminator team guesses: Feruchemist Elantrian BioChromancer Surgebinder Forger 2 Roleless I was surprised that the Eliminators had a Surgebinder last game because that means that if they had wanted to knock out PMs they would've had to wait until there team member was dead. I actually wrote Kandra in there instead of Surgebinder, but that role seems a bit OP for them to have. Maybe not, but I do think they have a Forger and that will allow them to have a variety of roles throughout the game. Giving them something that can scan for roles seems dangerous. As for my suspicions, well, not much to say on that front since it's Day 1 and all. I could just vote for Wilson again and see how that works, but I don't really feel like it. That's about all I can think of to say for now. Bye.- 1686 replies

Long Game 15: ...The Shards Themselves...
TheMightyLopen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Let's see, I believe the general consensus is that the Hemalurgists should contact Araris in the Night cycle. Which I see no problem with and agree on. We also shouldn't just give out all of our information to him since it is a possibility that he will turn evil eventually. Kipper said he doubts the Eliminators have a Mistborn. I am of the same opinion. Wilson said she doubts the Eliminators have a Kandra. Alvron then says he wouldn't put it past Wyrm to give them one, and Wilson responds by saying she doubts they have a Hemalurgist and a Kandra since both of those role are pretty pointless for them. Wilson also said she believes the Eliminators to have a Forger. I agree about the Forger. Eliminators having a Hemalurgist and a Kandra? I don't think that would be the case, but in MR9 Wyrm did say something about being unpredictable. Those are a few of the topics that have been discussed in case you're not up to speed. There hasn't been much about the lynch so far. Practically nothing actually. On the subject of roles, what do you all think the Eliminators would have? My guesses: 1 Elantrian or Voidbringer(Protective role) 1 Feruchemist(vote changing ability) 1 BioChromancer(roleblock) 1 Forger(get new abilities) 1 Hemalurgist or Kandra(basically roleless for the Eliminators but could possibly be used for manipulation if scanned by HI) If there are six then possibly a roleless or a Hemalurgist/Kandra. I'm gonna put my vote on Wilson. There's just something about her.- 1686 replies

Mid-Range Game 9: The Steel Ministry
TheMightyLopen replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Heh. If you want to understand my feelings about Wyrm then you should just read QF9. In it I repeatedly defend Wyrm from the lynch and end up killing someone else instead of having a 50% chance of killing him. Of course, he's evil and the one I help lynch(Orlok) is not. I ended up upset at myself for about a week because there was no way I should've done that. I'm more mad at myself than at Wyrm, but I think it has affected my view of him. So far in this game, he has seemed fairly innocent to me, but seeing as how I've only ever played with him one time, and that one time he was evil, I'm very hesitant to put any kind of trust into what he says. I don't want to hurt my team by being biased against a player that could be important in finding the skaa, which is why I was trying to get some more feedback from other people. What are your thoughts concerning him Deathclutch? Suspicion level: Low. Paranoia level?: High. That pretty much explains it. Hopefully that's a little more understandable.- 755 replies

Mid-Range Game 9: The Steel Ministry
TheMightyLopen replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, my vote on you wasn't so much because I think you're suspicious, but because I wanted some more opinions about you. I may have a little bit of residual bias against you from QF9, so I wanted to know how others viewed you. I thought that putting another vote on you would get some reactions regarding your alignment, but surprisingly, not much has been said about you. That's not to say I'm not suspicious of you, because I am, but most of that is because your still alive, rather than anything from your posts. But I'll say more about that down below. Regarding the "experienced" players: A few people have expressed their wariness of Wyrm, Alvron, and to some extent, Karippimar, which is completely understandable. I'm wary of them. I'll admit that. With that being said, I don't think we should lynch people simply because they're a good player and they're still alive. If we have evidence against them, then fine. But simply going after someone because of their reputation and ignoring their posts and the facts for/against them is not something I can condone. I don't know how the GM's usually do things, but from what I've seen, they usually try to be as unpredictable as possible(I'm looking at you Joe ). So I agree with what Wyrm was saying about not relying on Gamma in regards to the "experienced" players. I do think we should watch them extra carefully though as I'm guessing they didn't get their reputations for nothing. I just thought I'd get my opinion about that out there, since you wanted more from me Wyrm. Regarding roles. I've already stated that I feel we should use caution in revealing, or even hinting about our roles. So I'm agreeing with Wyrm and Honey Badger on that. (Agreeing with Wyrm this much makes me nervous) RE: Sart's death. I looked over his posts, but I'm not sure what to make of his demise. He and Clanky voted for each other one cycle, but then Sart took his back and joined Clanky's vote on Araris. That's the only interaction that stands out to me, but I don't know what to make of it. Sart was quiet last cycle and voted for Joe, so nothing to learn there. Overall, I don't know what to learn from his death. Joe's lynch. I haven't looked back over his posts or those about him yet, so nothing much from me about that. My suspicions. I'm gonna have to go back and look through the thread because I haven't had time lately to do any type of analysis about the remaining players. My computer is messing up right now, so I've been using my sister's laptop. She stole it back from me yesterday and I just got it back. I don't think it will affect my activity too much since she doesn't use it much, but I want you all to be aware that I may not have time to do too much detailed analysis or anything. I'm automatically going to be suspicious of anyone lurking, so if you guys have that information, I would like to hear it. I'll remove my vote from Wyrm(removed in original post as well) since I'm not really that suspicious of him. I'm still watching you though!- 755 replies

Mid-Range Game 9: The Steel Ministry
TheMightyLopen replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm going to put another vote on Wyrm. I've been looking through his posts, and I'm getting the feeling that he's trying to seem helpful and active without really doing much. Example: In the 2nd cycle, he called Alvron out for his vote on #1Ripple(welcome back, btw). Alvron then explains that it was a "gut" vote and that he didn't remove it later becaues his feeling about her only grew as she posted more. Wyrm says that he would like to hear "more" from him about it, so he leaves his vote on him. Thereby excusing himself from the lynch debate. There was still some cycle left and Alvron said he was going to work soon, so what was Wyrm trying to gain by leaving his vote there? How is Alvron supposed to explain a "gut" vote? That doesn't really make sense to me. I thought the whole idea behind "gut" votes is that they're feelings based on people's posts that you can't really put into words. Wyrm also says that he's getting a "gut feeling about Alvron" which could be a way to spread suspicion on Alvron without really accusing him. Although he did question why Alvron acted on a gut feeling of a new player, so that could be viewed as an accusation. But that doesn't really seem suspicious to me. In the 1st Cycle, what are you supposed to act on? The lynch was also a mistake because people messed with votes after rollover, so accusing someone for it doesn't make sense. Last cycle, all of his posts center on Zephrer. 1 newish player. That doesn't seem like the most informative thing to do. I only posted once at the end of last cycle though, so I don't know how much I can really say about that. Now, about Zephrer. I wouldn't say you weren't defended/assisted. Kipper, Phat, and Orlok all pushed the lynch away from you by voting for Joe. None of them mention you, and yet they avert the lynch from you. That seems like a defense to me. And while I am suspicious of you simply from the fact that you have repeatedly told us you are an inquisitor and that does not help us at all, I'd rather hear some more from Wyrm as you've said your piece. Of the three (possibly) defending Zephrer, I would like to hear some more from Phat. While you did vote last cycle, you're posts have left us starved(pun intended) for information regarding your opinions and suspicions. What do you think of Zephrer? Any suspicions of your own you'd like to share? Edit: ninja'd by Creccio Edit2: removed vote- 755 replies

Mid-Range Game 9: The Steel Ministry
TheMightyLopen replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ok, guys, really sorry I haven't posted much these last couple days. Doesn't really look like I can do much at this point. Joe's(or Jo now?) trying and succeeding at killing himself, which seems weird. I don't know what to make of Zephrer repeatedly "assuring" us he's good. I've never played with him before, but that doesn't seem like it helps us. Wyrm said he was going to remove his vote from Zephrer if he'd use his ability, but he hasn't removed it yet. Of course, I don't remember seeing if Zephrer agreed to do that or not, so maybe that's why he didn't remove it. I can't really do anything with my vote except make a tie and that seems like it would be detrimental to the team since we would get little to no information, so I'm gonna leave it as it is. I'm really gonna try to be a lot more actively posting now. The last couple days have been really busy for me. But this upcoming week is looking like it's going to be slow, so that means more time for SE!- 755 replies
