What do you think the Nightwatcher looks like?
CalaCrisp88 replied to Ciridae's topic in Stormlight Archive
I mean, she's literally called the NIGHTwatcher. So maybe that has something to do with it -
What do you think the Nightwatcher looks like?
CalaCrisp88 replied to Ciridae's topic in Stormlight Archive
Black and purple for me too. I didn't imagine her as a real creature, more as a cloudy smoky spirit-type thing. She doesn't talk, but she understands your intent. She lives in some forest grotto with small dancing lights around her, like fireflies. -
Also, if time didn't truly speed up or slow down, then BS wouldn't have had to worry about redshifts in. Picture from Alloy of Law annotations

Wasn't Ashyn the hot one and Braize cold? Nvm, the op of that other thread fixed it already

Just to clarify because it'll bug me forever: Brotherhood is technically the "original" one. The 2003 anime deviated from the manga and changed a bunch of plot points, characters, and mechanics. The Brotherhood version is truer to the original story in the manga.

The End of Stormlight Archive theory
CalaCrisp88 replied to NamelessThirteenth's topic in Stormlight Archive
Sooo...... did you get back? -
I think his "twinborn power" would be a Resonance. Can you be a Savant of a Resonance? Or is Savantism only for certain specific magics?

If you could pierce yourself without touching blood, it might work. Otherwise wouldn't the Harmonium react with your blood?

Dawnsingers=Honorblades? (WoR and Edgedancer spoilers)
CalaCrisp88 replied to Markus's topic in Stormlight Archive
As people have said, I don't think Honorblades are/were spren. If anything, the Heralds may be the Dawnsingers. I remember seeing a WoB that the Heralds are cognitive shadows, but I can't find it now. They would fit with the "spren who brought healing" since they "saved" humanity from Odium.- 8 replies

Creating "medallions" without hemalurgy [Bands of Mourning spoilers]
CalaCrisp88 replied to robardin's topic in Mistborn
Can you tap Allomancy? I thought only Feruchemy could be tapped. Allomancy could be spiked though. -
From WB, it seems like

My favorite wob is the one that states, "Platypus tinmind should work." Apparently they have the ability to sense electrical fields to some extent, and if one became a feruchemist, one could store that ability.

Yes, we heard it from Renarin, but Renarin heard it from Glys. If Glys actually does turn out to be some deceitful dark spren or something, then Renarin's information may not be entirely trustworthy. I'm somewhat undecided as to whether I believe this speculation, but it has some merit. We have already seen Truthwatcher spren, yet Brandon RAFO'd every question about Glys' appearance. If it turned out he didn't look like light reflected off a mirror (Is that right? Been a while since I read it), that would be a dead giveaway that Glys was lying about what he was.

Technically we don't know that arenarin is a Truthwatcher. Brandon has been incredibly reticent about what Glys looks like, and there are theories that he's a bad spren or something. I can't search for anything right now, but try searching for "glys" on here and see what comes up.

Who will die in Oathbringer?
CalaCrisp88 replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
What? That's revolutionary! Unprecedented! What could possibly make you think such a thing?! -
Kaladin will die, my guess at future oaths
CalaCrisp88 replied to bridgemenspren's topic in Stormlight Archive
On the contrary, I like the idea someone else proposed that his last oath would be "I will protect myself before others" because he'd realize he can't save more people if he were dead. -
I don't remember a Ring anywhere in MB. Are you referring to the council of Cultivationspren? And if so, are you suggesting that they are related to the Set? I guess I could sort of see it; they're trying to "Cultivate" (either by breeding or spiking) new Mistborn.
-
Might be possible, I guess. I'm not sure about all of my cosmere timeline stuff, but (AU spoilers)

Honorblades were blades only. Sprenblades are blades by default because they tried to initate Honorblades, but they are more flexible and can become other things.

I feel like Autonomy is more indicative of disorder rather than order. Obviously autonomy is not the same thing as complete chaos and anarchy, but I think it's closer to that than it is to perfect order and harmony. With the way the Set names are related mathematically, I don't think Autonomy is a major force in this situation. Might there be a shard called Rationality or Logic? I don't know if that really suits the theme of the shard names though. And let me know if there are WoB's that disprove anything I've said.

WoB that they can do separate objects? I thought they can't, and that's why you can't have a shardbow-and-arrow, only a shardbow or a shardarrow.
