  1. While I agree with your sentiment, I actually didn't think this was the most traumatic episode in FMA. Personally I would have to go with for the title of most traumatic.
  2. This is tough, I would have to order them as follows: Novels: 1.) Warbreaker 2.) Words of Radiance 3.) The Final Empire 4.) The Way of Kings 5.) The Hero of Ages 6.) Shadows of Self 7.) Elantris 8.) The Bands of Mourning 9.) The Alloy of Law 10.) The Well of Ascension *11.) White Sand (Prose) Novellas: 1.) The Emperor's Soul 2.) Sixth of the Dusk 3.) Shadows of Silence in the Forests of Hell 4.) Secret History 5.) Edgedancer
  3. Oh Adam Scott, you too are a delight. @Kestrel, you are a fan, no?
  4. I get where you are going with this but you need to remember that when a Hemalurgic spike is placed it doesn't just pierce your physical body, it also pierces your Spiritual Aspect. Regardless of the earring hole healing when the earring is in it is still Spiking through Vin's Spiritual Web which is where the effects of Hemalurgy take place (for the most part).
  5. @StrikerEZ, In true Brandon fashion I'm inclined to RAFO that... I'll give you just a little bit; it is much more of a WHOM does that mean and it is a larger connection for the GoTG to what will be happening in Infinity Wars than Drax/Gamora's connections to Thanos.
  6. Wouldn't it be "no kill squad on the world can stop them" as the world is apparently flat?
  7. Good Luck! This would have applied better yesterday... alas...
  8. 9.5 hours to proverbial freedom!
  9. The artist formerly known as Iron Eyes.

  10. @Yata more or less nailed it. With that said, Roshar has a couple of other things going on so it is probably not such a clear cut 18 years = 20 years. For example, there is reduced gravity on Roshar so physical aging such as wrinkles and such are probably slower to occur. Also Kaladin isn't a great example as the events of his life likely "aged" him moreso than an average Rosharan person. I would guess that Kaladin himself probably appears to be in his mid 20's.
  11. Yes, I know what you are talking about, now that you mention this I do remember Brandon mentioning they had to somewhat ignore the n-Body problem so they could achieve Brandon's vision of Nomon being bright enough in the sky that you could see by it with relative ease. This is why Roshar isn't experiencing eclipses daily. You are correct about the year length.
  12. "The Danish people have known for centuries that to get a troll to come out of hiding, one must say his name."
  13. HAHAHAHA I knew it seemed familiar.
  14. This was Delightful... pun not really intended but obviously intended. Keep in mind that while your point about people idly nodding along without thinking does have some validity, most people will look at that and go "wow, that guy is an asshat". I think you handled it well. You did a really good job of shutting him down while not getting in a pointless argument that would as Twi mentioned "validate" his so called argument.
  15. Seeing as you had clearly beaten me to the name I figured it was only reasonable that I change.

  16. I think you summed up what you missed pretty well yourself... Welcome back by the way!
  17. We know from AU via Khriss that the Rosharan year is 1.1 Cosmere standard years.
  18. I would guess that something different is happening with Shardplate. Seeing as Shardplate doesn't cause the screaming that Shardblades cause when a Radiant touches it I'm not sure we can jump to the conclusion that Plate is also from dead Spren. In addition, we don't see nearly the animosity from Syl, the Stormfather, etc. regarding Shardplate as they have toward Dead Spren blades. Something else to consider; Sprenblades were the result of the Spren trying to copy the Honorblades, we don't have any indication that the Heralds wore Shardplate, what then would the Spren be copying?
  19. Brandon has confirmed that the Highstorms predated the Shattering so by extension Honor. As for Adonalsium, Brandon has called him "He" several times. A Relevant WoB:
  20. Ya'll should look into the n-body problem. Maybe I'll come back later and detail it some, but honestly I don't have the time right now. With that said, Brandon is usually pretty good at applying real life physics and I very much suspect that is is what he is referring to when he says that the 3 moons in a specific orbit is a hint.
  21. I know a lot of ya'll are Utah people and I'd guess some of you are Brigham Young people; The New England Patriots just signed Linebacker Harvey Langi from BYU. Have any of ya'll seen him play? I'm usually pretty good on college football but haven't seen anything about him.
