Okay, so this is my problem. I am a fan of the new marvel movies, where its all in the same universe and interconnected (kinda like Cosmere actually). So I think, maybe I'll like the comics too, who knows. My dad gets me a marvel encyclopedia from the library, that shows all the characters and there back stories. I look through it and EVERY SINGLE GIRL SUPER HERO IS PRACTICALLY NAKED. I mean seriously, no No NO NOO. I can understand having clothing kind of tight, so that it doesn't get in the way. But wearing a bikini or a suit so tight that she might as well be wearing nothing? It's portraying women in ways I am certainly NOT okay with. They're just there for eye candy at this point. Quiver, I don't think most ancient civilizations were that much better than today, but if you look around, you will see that standards are rapidly dropping.

Omygosh, so much happened this week I don't know where to start. I'm on a road trip in Utah. Now that I've seen Utah/Salt lake valley that's what I imagine Shinovar to look like. (Except more fertile) I had a family reunion dinner today. There were so many cousins, that I felt like a Herdazian. I got a bob cut! I'm going to Bryce Canyon soon! It will be like visiting the Shattered Plains!

Just gonna butt in here, and probably derail this thread but. . . Why would people ship Shallan/Jasnah? I know there are a few paragraphs that Shallan mentions that Jasnah is very beautiful, but I got more of an impression that Shallan was actually kinda jealous. Also to add to it there is that 17 year age difference. I can totally see them as good friends someday but, shipping? Do people even do that? (Please excuse me if I am woefully ignorant, the only fandom experience I've had before this was Pinterest)

How does squire-ing even work? It's obvious they can hold Stormlight, but can they use both the surges? Or just one? Would Syl be able to appear as a shard blade for them if they need it? What?

Could I just put out there that I personally believe Iyatil is a parshendi? This seems as good a place as any.

I have my own little pet-theory that, if a parshendi was bonded to a different spren already, (if they were in a form besides slave form) then they would be able to not be void-bringerized. This seemed like a good place to post it. Rip it to shreds. Edit: Storm it. I should really read a thread before I post on it.

She remembered that when she was younger her hair was always red and her eyes always green and gold. It was before she was cursed and--Her mind was wandering. She wasn't thinking straight. What could she do? Her allomantic powers were useless if she was the one fighting! All this thought happened in a short moment, then she knew. Drawing upon her metalminds, she touched her cloak. "Protect me." She reached into her bag and pulled out a rope. "Grab things that aren't me." She threw it at the man. It was the best she could do.
