    Oh dear, I suppose I didn't. I do hope I am not burnt at the stake for commiting such a heinous act of heresy. Basically a fandom is a group of geeks who are all fans of the same thing. Some of them are: Harry Potter, Dr Who, My Little Pony, Legend of Zelda, Infinity Blade, Gravity Falls, Hunger Games, Divergent. . . The list goes on and on. Edit: yay I just got away with an even bigger act of heresy. And now it's a poll!

    Hello! Welcome! Have an upvote! How long have you known about the Cosmere? You seem better informed than I was, at first. Near the beginning I seriously thought Reckoners was Cosmere and that Calamity was a shard of Adonalsium. . .

    Here is a drawing of Syl that I did. She is wearing (what I imagine to be) a traditional Vorin dress. I know the leg slits are probably not accurate. I mean what kind of traditional dress shows off that much leg? But yay! Syl!

    I would say the similarities are just because magic in the Cosmere is all done with investure in some form. The shards were once part of Adonalsium. There are other similarities as well. Elantrians are like Returned in some ways. Using allomancy and becoming a Radiant both require being broken in some way. Soulcasting is remarkably like soulforging. Again, I think this is just because all of the magic systems were one once.

    I got: 59% Truthwatcher 53% Lightweaver 31% Willshaper 26% Dustbringer 21% Elsecaller 16% Edgedancer I'm obviously a very complicated person . . . And it all adds up to a grand total of 206%. I do not think this site knows its math.

    I was thinking that maybe the cryptics were considering him? But they decided he wasn't what they were looking for. There is also the fact that we don't know much about Elhokar's personal life before, or even during, the vengeance pact. There could have been something that broke him so that he could be a Radiant.

    Here is topic to talk about various fandoms, which one is superior, and to possibly try to convert people to the one you belong in.     Before I knew about the Cosmere, even though I had read pretty much all of the books, I had my mind blown when I then found out about Hoid and Adonalsium; I was seriously convinced that Calamity was a shard and that Epics had access to a form of investure. And I have always had the suspicion that, even if Hoid is not real, that Brandon was at least writing himself into the books as that character.

    I am white, freckly, brown hair with blondish-green tips (used to be blue, but oh well), gray-green-blue eyes, normally pretty pale but tan skin as of now because I was dragged to the pool last week, 5'6" I think? Haven't checked in a while. For all I know I'm 5'8", I live in Florida and love the warm weather as long as it stays a low humidity, (though it usually doesn't)and I think that's about it.
