  1. I’m a normal villager as well, and I don’t currently have the doll. I wouldn’t be opposed to letting myself be lynched while I had it to determine the result, though.
  2. Sorry I haven’t given this game the attention I wanted, though of course I can claim exceptional circumstances. I’d rather not continue to be Boring, so Jondesu. Edit: Again...I keep forgetting to check if it’s night or day. Vote doesn’t count, I know.
  3. Sorry for the double post, but it seems appropriate in this case. Irma did not miss us, but despite taking a fairly direct hit, we have only minor damage to our shed, none to the house, and we’ve had power at our in-laws house, where we stayed during the storm, since just about 24 hours after the storm passed through. Considering their neighbors still don’t have power, we’re very grateful.
  4. The Weather Channel.
  5. I’m kinda lost, but I’d love to be part of a faction, and the Lawmakers faction seems pretty interesting to me. Also, the hurricane hasn’t hit in full force yet, but we’re doing fine for now. If I disappear for a day or two, or a week, I probably lost power. Oh, and @Arinian, I did not break our deal. I was told that wasn’t an action that was possible with the current rules.
  6. Hurricane Irma seems to be slowly moving further away from us (well, the track is). We learned in 2004 never to trust the tracks, but it’s still nice to see.
  7. So what was the reason you killed her?
  8. I think Yata is correct, within the Cosmere. The Cosmere operates on different rules than our universe, namely that as Yata said, people can obviously continue thinking and in control after death, for a while depending on factors. Crushing someone's head, destroying it, etc, wouldn't be enough for this type of healing, because the Physical component isn't doing the healing, it's what's being healed by the Spiritual Realm, via the Cognitive aspect of the person.
  9. The rulers of the Rose Empire. I had to look it up, though, so don't assume this is me being super knowledgable. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Grand
  10. Maybe we need to lynch whoever has the doll, @Rebecca. Since you’re new, though, I prefer to give you at least a few rounds first, by which point you won’t have it anymore. Still, it’s a working theory.
  11. I want Rubix’ appendix. And I still think a no lynch is fine this round, since we won’t gain much by it. Let’s let any roles go to work first, hopefully some with scanning abilities, and go from there.
  12. Fortunately Katia isn't a threat to us here in Florida. Irma sure is, though, and no one knows about Jose yet. We're braced for impact and ready to weather the storm, just hoping our house doesn't get any damage since repairs could take a while.
  13. True. I tried last cycle and got a single vote on me in return. I’ll vote for Megasif again, but I’m open to another target. Agreed.
  14. The factionless are inherently opposed to everyone else, but of course temporary alliances are likely. The problem is that right now we don’t really have any voting blocs: no one has much incentive to vote along with other players on anyone, unless we just decide to gang up on and lynch someone to get the rest of us closer to our respective win cons (except the Worldbringers).
  15. I agree, I’d be in favor of no lynch this first round. Let’s figure out a bit more about what we’re doing, and we might lynch someone who doesn’t even know their own alignment yet, and then we won’t have any way to know either.
  16. Other than the fact that we usually have to do that? That’s part of why I’m thinking we don’t (maybe even need to have a no-lynch cycle in order to win). Also, Hurricane Irma will be hitting us Sun-Mon most likely, and I’ll likely lose power and internet. This game will take lower priority then.
  17. Wilson knows a lot of things. I don’t think I want to vote until we get an answer on the PMs (since I didn’t directly say it, I did not receive one either), but I suspect that lynching people may end up being less important than in other games. Just a hunch though. Don’t know anything yet to confirm that.
  18. Guess it’s going to be a true blackout game where we don’t know who we are.
  19. Ooh, I get a perk. I think I’d like to be a gold compounder, but maybe gold feruchemy with steel allomancy.
  20. Nah, should be Jonathan Price.
  21. 1. Brandon. I’ve read everything he’s published, either online or in print, unless I’ve missed something. 2. Terry Goodkind. Haven’t read his books in a while, but I liked them well enough despite the long speeches he always includes. 3. Timothy Zahn. Best sci-fI writer I’ve ever read, and I’ve reread the Thrawn trilogy, as well as the Hand of Thrawn trilogy, more times than I can count.
  22. I know one of the guys whose competed a few times, though he’s never made it past the first course I don’t think. Hunter Sipes, goes by the “Kingdom Ninja”. Cool guy. I always have loved Ninja Warrior, though I prefer the original Japanese version. I liked the fact that every stage was either pass or fail, no top ten or thirty or anything. If no one passed stage 1, no one got to attempt stage 2 and the competition ended there. Not that that happened, but I love how so few people ever made it to stage 4.
  23. Huh, wouldn’t have thought of it, but he could do the role well. I think Wayne needs to be Johnny Depp in that case, though. Just kidding, please don’t lynch me! Oh wait, this isn’t SE.
  24. Am I correctly seeing that there is currently no lynch votes (only roleblock votes)? Most of us should be currently trying to be the last one standing, so not killing anyone is kinda counter-productive. I'll toss a vote on Megasif and let's not make myself boring: Jondesu
  25. That's kinda what I was thinking. Perhaps a wooden spear just coated in aluminum would be enough, then?
