Your first & favourite Sanderson novel
Tetriona replied to Young Bard's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Um... I don't really have a valid excuse so... I'm just going to plead insanity on this one. In all seriousness though, I believe i was in the middle of another very long series at the time and I wasn't very interested in any other books. It wasn't until after I read Stormlight Archive that I realized that Mistborn was written by the same author. It was then that I started reading his other books. -
You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Tetriona replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When your variety of curse words suddenly becomes much less offensive to other people and much more meaningful to you. Me: "Give that back, you storming Chasmfiend!" Person: "What'd you call me?" Me: "Nevermind! Just give it back!" -
Your first & favourite Sanderson novel
Tetriona replied to Young Bard's topic in General Brandon Discussion
The first book I read by Brandon Sanderson was Mistborn, but... (nobody kill me please)... I never finished it. (Yes, I was an idiot and yes, I have now rectified that mistake.) I read half of Mistborn and then stopped for a while. I ended up reading Way of Kings a few months later and was completely hooked. I finished Way of Kings and Words of Radiance in the same week. (Sleep? What the heck is "sleep"?) I've read almost all of his books now but my favorite is probably still Words of Radiance. -
The entire time I was reading this I believe I had "Excitement Spren" dancing around my laptop...

Songs That Make You Think of Stormlight Archive
Tetriona replied to Random Observations R Me's topic in Stormlight Archive
Surprisingly, "Demons" by Imagine Dragons makes me think of Shallan. Shallan has been through an insane amount of pain and events that would bring most people to their breaking point, but she has kept it all inside, not allowing the pain inside of her to surface. Even Kaladin was in awe about how Shallan was able to continue on just like everyone else after all she'd been through. I think that is one of the reasons I admire Shallan so much... in spite of everything, she has kept going and grown stronger from her misfortunes. -

As if you couldn't tell by my signature but..... the part where Kaladin and Shallan are trapped in the Chasms and Kaladin finally realizes all the pain that Shallan has been through. The emotions that Sanderson portrayed in those scenes really gave me the feels! Another one was the scene when Amaram is finally shown as who he really is in front of Dalinar, Kaladin, and the rest of Bridge Four. I was literally yelling out loud, "YES! It's about dang time!!!"

I kind of went on a roll one time and read pretty much all of the comics having to do with Batman vs. Joker... so obviously I would recommend any of those. (then again I've always been the one who laughs at Harley Quinn all the time, so....yeah...) BTW... What did you think of Season 3 of Arrow? (considering your Avatar.)

Yikes! I can see now why you would have a fear of water...

Actually, I don't no the exact volumes that I read. Sorry. There was a giant book at Barnes & Noble that had a lot of the Justice League stories and that's what I was reading from. I do, however, remember picking up Justice League "Pain of the Gods". Overall, though, I tend just to read the Batman comics with Joker, Batgirl, Harley, etc.

Okay, so, I've asked this question a couple of times in the AMAs but I want to go ahead and start a topic for it. What would you consider your worst fears that you have now? Personally, I'm going to go with Spiders and running out of books to read. (and yes, if people ever suddenly start become Epics, I will discontinue this topic and hope that you all know how to defend yourselves... )

Honestly... My mouth starts watering pretty much every time I read the parts when Kiin starts cooking... I don't even know what half the stuff is but the way he describes it just makes it sound amazing!

I mostly just pick up random DC comics/encyclopedias at the bookstore and sit there and read for hours. Batman has always been my favorite, so I've read most of the comics involving him. I also read a lot of the Justice League. I'm SO excited for the new Batman vs. Superman to come out!! I'm guessing from your avatar that you are a DC fan as well?
