  2. The fifth only works for me if we'd be done by about 3:45. I don't know what the usual meeting time is, so maybe that won't be a problem. If it is, I guess I could leave early or something if I have to. And just FYI, I haven't been able to get in contact with most of the group of people I mentioned earlier, so it'll probably be just me and one other guy.
  3. On the topic of Straw: So far, I've only seen one of his posts that seem suspicious. It was where he offered information if a "certain player" got voted for. What I feel is noteworthy about this is that he doesn't appear to care if that vote was then immediately retracted, and doesn't bother telling us who he wants us to vote for (if I'm reading his posts right, it turned out to be Ecthelion). Now, I can't think of any reason an eliminator would want a vote (other than his) to be placed on a person and then immediately retracted unless he had some kind of information the thread at large isn't privy to. Of course, he could be a neutral role and this could be part of reaching his win con. If he were a villager, then why go this whole process to get potentially valuable information out there? Would you care to elaborate on your motivations here Straw? I don't think that the information turned out to be a dud is particularly relevant to what I'm saying here. The rest of what he's said looks to me like posts that don't really say anything either way, so while I am somewhat suspicious of him, I'm not gonna jump on the bandwagon just yet.
  4. When he said the post that was an overreaction, there were only three votes on him (and mostly random pokes at that). As I noted in my first post, My intent was not to start a bandwagon, but to pursue a vote I considered somewhat suspicious, and to promote discussion. I would hardly consider one medium-strength poke and a request for a response "hard tunneling". Given the response I had been awaiting, I'll go ahead and retract my vote on Elenion. Edit: This is me, signing out. I probably won't be back on till tomorrow afternoon at like 1:00 MT, so don't be surprised if I'm not around to answer questions or whatever.
  5. @Elenion You haven't commented about the more recent accusations against you. do you have anything to say? @antgrgmn @Aonar Faileas @Araris Valerian @Sart @TheSilverDragon Have all been on within the last 8 hours (for reference, the thread has been up for some 19 hours), and yet have said nothing so far. I'd like to echo what Aman said about lurkers earlier. Silver, in particular has viewed this thread itself within the last 2 hours.
  6. How do we feel about the free PM's we've got? I'd like to note that games where everything happens in PM's are extremely frustrating for the less-experienced players (like me) who typically don't get invited into the important discussions. I also think that freedom of information is the villages best way to make the most important tool in the game - the lynch - really count. Granted, certain sensitive information (like roleclaims) should be dealt with using caution. Just like you shouldn't immediately believe roleclaims, you shouldn't immediately out somebody to the thread.
  7. Dunno where I got LG 23 from, MR15 is what I meant. I know he said it was to produce discussion, and that's what I just did, I helped discuss something. I would like to note that discussion promotion was not the only reason I posted that. I genuinely think that his post was slightly suspicious, and I would appreciate other's input on it. List of those who haven't posted so far, in case anybody's wondering. @antgrgmn @Aonar Faileas @Araris Valerian @Conquestor @Elbereth Edit: note: inactive b/c of IRL issues, will be back by Day 2 @Sart @TheSilverDragon This is based off of the Official list by Joe on page one. If your name is on here and doesn't deserve to be, let me know and I'll fix it. Note that this counts any post at all, regardless of content value.
  8. I'd be really interested in people's thoughts on these two articles I stumbled across in the champion-choosing thread. Would hypothetical role-claiming be a useful tool given the unknown roles present in this game? I also find the gratuitous amounts of fluff-posting so far somewhat frustrating. Posting pure RP* or jokes for the purpose of avoiding the inactivity filter is something I would greatly discourage. On a separate note, that last post by Elenion seems to be strong on defending himself after only very minor accusations. At the risk of causing a bandwagon, I want to point that out as a possibility of being one of those knee-jerk reactions people have been mentioning. Granted, I didn't play LG 23 so I have no way of knowing what typical behavior for him would be. *not that I've got any problem with RP, it's just that posting a bunch of RP without anything else accomplishes little besides making someone seem more active than they actually are.

  11. @Three1415 The Stormfather is most likely Honor's Cognitive shadow merged with the "rider of the storms". In the pre-recreance days the Bondsmiths would've bonded a spren which we have only a partial understanding of, which I would argue is insufficient evidence to assume a "more direct link to" Honor from. Even if "God-orders" do exist (which I doubt) I would expect the Windrunners to represent Honor given their postition as number one in the essence chart, their divine attribute of leading, and their association with Jezrien the king of the Heralds. Additionally, Brandon himself (after some hemming and hawing) asserts the Honorspren as closest to Honor when he said, "But she (syl) would be the most pure... many would view her as the purest form." (Credit to Erklitt for digging that up) @Erklitt It's nice to see another sharder who's as concerned with headcanon WoB's as I am. Thanks for coming in and helping to clear some of this up.

  13. IIRC the reason Vin wasn't burning the other metals instinctively was because there wasn't enough traces of them in her diet. There was brass in the water and pewter from the utensils she used, but she didn't ingest enough of the other metals to use them. And if Hoid had made Sigzil a mistborn, don't you think he would've taught Sigzil at least the basics of allomancy?

  15. Was Yolish lightweaving a purely cognitive magic? Are the Parshendi related to Dragons? (if so) Are they themselves Dragons? Do the cosmere magics we've seen require a transfer of energy separate from the investiture?
  16. When you go to a friend's "Fandom Prom" dressed as Elend. Tons of fun and the easiest costume I've ever done.

  19. The Phrase used in the the Epigraph is "destroy each and every one", which in my mind implies use of physical force. Also, we have absolutely no way of knowing what level of experience the Heralds had when this took place. You seem to be assuming that there was a gap of substantial length between the beginning of the Oathpact and the Epigraph, which is supported by no evidence whatsoever. For all we know it was a couple years, or even shorter.
