Actually, Meta as good as confirmed that nobody put an action in. He heavily implied that if someone had, the wording would've been "attacked but survived" rather than "Nobody died".

Village Division users, this is a call to action! Now is the time to make use of that Surge! Adhesion probably wouldn't hurt either. Primary targets are: Idolevy Bridge Boy Jain Dow Eowyn Or alternatively: Adamir Joe See last turn for the reasoning behind these choices. If anybody wants to add to this list, speak up and I'll probably add them. Additional Comment: Are you referring to Orlok? 'Cause, as dissapointed as I am about it, Fel was innocent.

That is correct, I purely checked whether or not they'd been active on any part of the forums. The concept was that if they'd been active on any part of the forum, they would've had time to get on and put in orders to kill someone.

Taravangian implies that the thrill is an effect of one of the unmade, which are the main way Odium influences Roshar.
-
Actually, the Nahel bond offers additional abilities besides stormlight and surges, ones that don't consume stormlight. Although it's not 100% confirmed, many people (myself included) believe that Kaladin's fighting proficiency, as well as Shallan's memory and drawing, are a result of these "passive" abilities. Keep in mind that every Rosharan Day is shorter, so the aging effect may not be what you think.

From the mini writeup, it looks like nobody decided to send in any actions. Now the question (as Clanky realized) is: did the eliminators decide not to kill anyone in an attempt to put suspicion on the inactives, or they genuinely inactive? I'm definitely inclined toward the second. If they keep not killing people, they're not advancing their win condition, and they pretty much can't win. In that scenario, they're still only getting one kill per cycle, and not one that's guaranteed innocent at that. They can either rely on their gambit to hopefully lynch an innocent, or they could just up and kill one. I don't know about you guys, but I doubt this could be an eliminator gambit, there just isn't enough to gain in it. Because of this, I don't think we're really looking for people who've been active in other parts of the forum (read: Adamir) because people tend to be more active when they're eliminators. If they were an eliminator, even if they don't post in thread, they'd probably have time to get on and check the doc if they were active elsewhere. I looked through the player list in Kipper's sig (thanks for that, very helpful.) and checked the activity for every member I don't remember posting much. Here's what I found (I really like bulleted lists, if you haven't noticed.): Jain - inactive since Aug 3 Idolevy - inactive since Jul 16 Feligion - inactive between Aug 3 and Today Dow - inactive since Aug 3 Eowyn - inactive since Jul 25 What do I see here. . . ah yes. Hypothesized three eliminators. Three people inactive for the correct time period, each inactivity period start August 3. Of those three, the post Feligon made this cycle has caught my eye. GM question: Can I ask for a day extension? It seems unfair to me that the eliminators can get more discussion time if they need it, but that we can't. Edit: Y'know, one day, I might actually be able to make a post without fixing the spelling somewhere.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Emerald101 replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you're playing dodgeball, and you can't stop thinking how great it'd be to be Fortuity right then. Or maybe Kaladin. When you're playing Salad (read: a card game similar to hearts) and you can't stop wishing you could tap luck. -
Just to be clear: GM Question: is the wording in the OP intended to imply what Clanky is thinking? That no one dying and someone surviving are distinct and separate?

I think the question now is what to do about Joe. On the one hand, Orlok was going for him pretty hard, both before and after I started putting pressure on him. On the other hand, it could easily be a distraction technique, meant to draw suspicion off Joe if Orlok died. In the second scenario, If it looked like Joe might get lynched he would've written up a nice, long, "satisfactory" post, and Orlok would've retracted his vote. Overall, I'm not inclined to trust Joe more or less as a result of the shenanigans here. I definitely think he'd make a good candidate for a Division kill, since losing him would mean nothing to the village if he's innocent, but everything if he's not.

If I remember correctly, original estimates said six at most. If that's true, I highly doubt the Eliminators have any more KR. (They will, of course, have squires.) It'd be broken for the Eliminators to (effectively) have roles for all of their players, which is what it'd be if there were 6 diagramists and 3 were KR.

Response, pojo style: With one hand you say there needs to be discussion of people other than the four, something this games eliminators have been known to do, while with the other hand you vote for one of the four, adding nothing whatsoever to discussion outside the four. I see a sharp contrast here between what you say needs to happen, and what you actually try to help happen. In hindsight, your post reads to me as a last-ditch attempt to get discussion off of the four, followed by a realization that it's not going to happen. You then find a (somewhat legitimate) excuse to try and get somebody else lynched first. Additionally, you ignore one of the main points of my response there: you do something both of the eliminators we've caught are known to have don. See above. To be clear here: I was referring to your opinion that you defended during that post. I was reaffirming the point I'd made earlier in that post. I have my suspicions of Joe too (trust me, if we lynch you and you turn out to be a villager, I'm turning around and lynching Joe then and there.) but that's not the issue at hand. What I saw in your post was this: you come under danger of lynch, and start looking around for something to save yourself. You notice Joe's inactivity and think to yourself "Excellent, a way I can redirect suspicion in a way a villager would also do." Normally, I wouldn't think anything of this, but considering the other evidence. . . Points from my first post you failed to adress: Edit: fixed formatting error, made one point more clear. Additional Comment: what the heck, may as well post a vote tally: Votes: Kas notation: Idolevy(0): Mailliw<1> Bridge Boy(1): Twei<1> Orlok(2): Kipper<1>, Emerald <1> Phatt(0): Clanky<1> Clanky(2): Phatt<1>, Mailliw<2> Mailliw(1): Araris<1> Joe(1): Orlok<1> Normal notation: Bridge Boy(1): Twei Orlok(2): Kipper, Emerald Clanky(2): Phatt, Mailliw Mailliw(1): Araris Joe(1): Orlok

You might want to take a look at the part of this post that deals with necroing. Edit: forgot to actually quote you.

Since a number of people seem to be suspicious of Orlok, here's my analysis of every post he's made so far (using blue for him to distinguish between his posts and my thoughts): Posts (and my responses): Clarifies that Raylt Faialen was Seonid and that they pulled out before the start of the game, and that he won’t be RPing much. Not much to say here, looks mostly like a "Hey, I'm here!" kind of post. Reminds everyone that there are no safe roles, and invites speculation on role numbers. Yeah, not much to say here either. Is looking through previous posts trying to find anything suspicious, but can’t find Idolevy’s post that Hero and Mailliw referenced. This is where he confuses Ren and Hero up, which has caused so much interest in Orlok. Frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about, looks like a simple mistake to me. Clarifies that it was Ren who referenced the post above, not Hero. A simple mistake. Reminds everyone that while it is plausible that Bort was killed by someone he contacted, he was outspoken in-thread, so that might have attracted attention. Votes for Leif because he agrees with my view that Leif was trying to act villager-like. Here he does the same thing both Ren and Hero did: tries to direct attention away from the four PM members. He accepts that there is a possibility that one of them killed Bort, and votes for Leif - cleverly directing attention away from Ren and Hero, while at the same time, employing a common eliminator strategy: hopping on someone else's suspicion in an attempt to start a bandwagon. Commends Macen for finding diagramists, and wonders if those two being diagramists could clear other experienced players. Funny, didn't he just vote for somebody for doing this exact same thing? The first part of this post is an attempt to seem like a villager, the second, perhaps, an attempt to soft-clear other eliminators? Very lengthy post attempting to direct suspicion away from him in the following ways: Sites an unwell dog for his lack of activity. I believe this. Most players don't lie about RL reasons. Says he can’t really respond to Kipper’s “Hunch” post. I have my own thoughts about Kipper's "hunch", but I won't go into that here. Suffice it to say I don't think he's an Eliminator. Gives his reasoning behind trying directing the lynch away from the four PM members: Others did the same Notably Ren and Hero. Bort was active, that could’ve attracted unwelcome attention While this is true, that's typically not the main criteria eliminators choose kill targets from. Didn’t want discussion to tunnel-vision He says this, but before he continued to vote for one of the four members. So which is it Orlok? Not wanting to tunnel-vision, but also putting pressure on the PM members, notably not Ren or Hero. Macen proved his feelings wrong, but he stands by his opinion given what information was available him. His opinion which was inherently contradictory. Gives reasons for the Ren/Hero mix-up: Overall, I don't think this particular debate is of any importance. Read through the discussion of the last LG, which included a lot of posts from both of them. Thin excuse, but whatever. They posted sequentially the page before he mixed them up, he simply accidently look at the wrong name. I honestly think this was an honest mistake. Is awful with names Can't really say either way. Votes for Eramit, because it looked like Eramit was trying to start a bandwagon on him. Again, voting for somebody after somebody after another player (Me, in both cases, but that's probably a coincidence.) puts some suspicion on that person. Medium length post: Tells Kipper to expound on his reasons for his continuing votes for Orlok, as Kipper said he would last cycle. Again, I have my own thoughts on Kipper's reasoning. Responds to Clanky’s accusation by saying a potential lynching would be enough motivation for anyone to make a lengthy post. Fair enough. Asks others views on Joe’s inactivity reasons post, and says he doesn’t think Joe’s reasoning is adequate. A not-so-subtle attempt to redirect the conversation away from himself. So I'll be voting for Orlok this cycle. Edit: fixed spacing. mostly, anyway.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Emerald101 replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you puncture your opponents glove in fencing, make him bleed, and then realize that ruin might've aimed your thrust and that your foil is definitely a hemalurgic spike now. Which is definitely a plus because it makes those notoriously annoying coinshot/lurcher fencers easier to beat. -
Can (or should) all spren turn into weapons?
Emerald101 replied to Kasitor's Tanavast's topic in Stormlight Archive
To answer this specifically: Yes, it can, as evidenced that (by WoB) Adolin's shardblade was once an Edgedancerspren. -
I got the impression that he meant one of Macen's contacts was Shallan's killer, which says nothing about whether or not they're an eliminator, only that we shouldn't blurt out everyone who was in the PM. There's a high likelihood that one of the participants in that PM is a Skybreaker/Dustbringer, so we wouldn't want to reveal them for the eliminators. Edit: fixed KR order name. Additional comment: To whoever upvoted my post last cycle (assuming they're actually a participant in the game, and not just spectators or w/e): I appreciate that you agree with my assessment, but I appreciate it more when you actually speak up with your feelings on the subject, which is something no honest villager should be afraid to do. Which isn't to say that upvotes aren't welcome. Of course they are, It's just nice if you say something as well. Additional comment2: I'd also like to know who was the Eliminator kill target that survived on night 4

What I've found is that the Eliminators will have some people in every part of the spectrum. People who talk as villagers will talk as Eliminators, and people who are quiet villagers will be quiet Eliminators. If they didn't play that way, we'd (hopefully) notice the discrepancy and lynch them. Edit: spelling

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
Emerald101 replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
For somebody who's visited the old magic, and gained their curse and boon, does something about the process or whatever make the two distinct? Would it be possible for somebody to think of the curse as the boon and vice-versa? Edit: spelling -
How to Splinter a Shard in One Easy Lesson
Emerald101 replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
This is a good theory for the concept behind splintering a shard, but we still have no idea of the mechanism that makes this splintering possible.
