  1. It makes sense it was not in there but I too was sad to not see anything for Nalthis.
  2. So I got about 3/4 of the way through Tigana and just completely lost interest. That is pretty rare for me. Maybe I will try and finish it up sometimes I find I am just not in the mood for a particular book at the time. I am almost done with Off to Be the Wizard. It is goofy as heck but a fun read which apparently I was more in the mood for. I will probably pick up the next one in the series.
  3. Haha I saw this earlier got excited and immediately checked Amazon to see if it shipped. Meant to post something earlier but got busy. So if it makes you feel better you trolled me too.
  4. I don't know how you can say it is impossible that a host has not served the same role in different periods of times over 30 years. Sure they may switch roles but how can we know they only play a roll once. Like when they have to take Maeve to the lab and the guy says let Clementine run the brothel she's done it before. I'd have to go back and re-watch this I remember the MiB shooting up the place but that's it. I'm not saying I am 100% sold on this multiple timeline deal maybe closer to 70% but I wouldn't just say it is wrong with the amount of clues like the logo, knife, shirt, fact we only know him as MiB and not his name and that we have not see two KNOWN humans interact from these two speculated timelines. A lot of this (except the logo deal) can me dismissed as pure coincidence. Heck next episode we could see William and MiB playing poker together in the brothel and disprove this entire thing. Just saying I think it is a possibility almost a probability.
  5. Yeah I get that but I do not see how this disproves the multiple timeline. Yes we do which makes sense if Maeve has been only running the brothel for a couple years she would be there with MiB in the "present". What we did not see was Maeve interacting at the brothel with William/Logan. Pure speculation but I think she would have been in the storyline where she has the kids at this time.
  6. Yeah but I don't think you can disprove the multiple timeline theory with seeing the same host in both plot lines. We've clearly seen Delores in the "robot parts" stage. So it should be assumed at least some of the host have had the same appearance (although different technological models) throughout the 35 years the park been around.
  7. Man I need to re-watch too because I cannot remember Elsie interacting with William/Logan. They would have to directly interact with them to disprove the theory not just people (guest)around them. Of course I kind of just took the show at face value initially. I will say if the multiple timeline theory is true it's brilliant because the robots do not age and you don't completely know which people are real!
  8. I dunno there's lots of compelling arguments for the multiple timelines main one I can't easily dismiss is the logo change.
  9. What does everyone think about the William = Man in Black theory?
  10. Makes me want to go back and rewatch because I did not see that coming at all.
  11. Yeah would look amazing in 4K. I'm actually a little disappointed I was an early 4K adopter and bought a 75" TV but there is just not a lot of content or at least content I want to watch this show being a perfect example. OMG the twist from this past episode!!! Did not see that coming.
  12. I will have to check that out. I am just barely in it but enjoying the writing so far.
  13. I think they said they cannot kill guest (of course the way things are progressing this looks like it will change soon too). Hurting is completely possible. I have been really digging the show. It is extremely well done and cast.
  14. Finished Death's End the final book in the Three Body Problem (Remembrance of Earths Past) trilogy by Liu Cixin. Wow my head is still spinning. Now I am starting a book that has been in my to read list for a while. Purely because of Brandon's recommendation of this author I am starting Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay.
  15. No doubt. I enjoy hard sci-fi but it was clearly not the authors intentions. Took it at face value and tried not to dissect it too much.
  16. Finished Morning Star. Again loved it. Now that I've completed the trilogy I think I go against the grain a little with liking the first book Red Rising the most but all were great. Excited to see this authors future works. I know a lot of folks here are mainly in to fantasy and not necessarily sci-fi but I think these books will speak to you none the less. These books are similar to Dune and Star Wars in that they are Space Operas and are more similar to fantasy in a sci-fi setting. It's much more about the characters and story than aliens and ray guns. I read The Obsidian Chamber the latest Pendergast book. I've read this series for years now and starting wonder if it hasn't run its course. Also re-read The Three Body Problem in preparation for reading the final two books in the trilogy now that they are out. It's always funny to me how I can enjoy a book much more the second time around. I guess I just have to be in the right mood sometimes when reading a particular book. On to the next one The Dark Forest.
  17. Me too. I really liked the narration. It was a pleasant surprise to hear his voice I also really liked his narration of the Riyria Revelations.
  18. Really liked the books. In part I think because I had just finished the WoT series and wanted something "light" to read next and didn't really know what I was getting in to. After the first book i was presently hooked and devoured the next too. I saw all the comparisons to Hunger Games (which I sorta get (especially the first book) but these books were way more complex and dark. Loved how the author pulled no punches throughout the series. He did a fantastic job creating emotionally connectable characters. The twist were great and I often found my self changing my mind on who the good guys were and were not. I won't give away any spoilers but I accidentally spoiled the major twist towards the end of Morning Star by reading the news about the new books before finishing Morning Star. So word of warming do not go searching about the upcoming books until you have finished Morning Star. I liked all three books but I think I liked the first the best. Sevro was my favorite character.
  19. After that ending I was so glad the series was finished when I started reading it.
  20. Yes I loved it. Was actually thinking about a re-read soon. Only downside is I believe the next book is still a ways off.
  21. ^^ I can't wait to see your reaction after you read the next book. I'm half way through the last book and still loving the series.
  22. Completely agree with this. Broke my heart a little when it was changed.
  23. Finished Golden Son. Really enjoyed it but man what a depressing ending. My only small gripe with this series (which is in no way limited to these books) is humanity has achieved interplanetary travel and colonization but people are still killing each other with close range melee weapons. Sure they are more complex than a broad sword or cudgel but we do not even use melee weapons in current times as a first resort. I guess Sci-Fi writers like to ride on the light saber's coattails (which I consider a little different because so few people use them in the Star Wars universe and yeah they are badass). Anyway really a small thing just an observation I have had with a few authors. Really great books and will start Morning Star right away.
  24. Just finished Red Rising. Fantastic. On to Golden Son
