I agree. Would be a great question to ask Brandon for confirmation. I had to dig to figure out how we even got this star chart since it wasn't in AU. Someone must have gotten the info from Issac that it was a gas giant though or maybe there is a note in the WB leather bound?

I like it and it all makes sense except according to Coppermind

Hopes and dreams for Obi Wan Kenobi
StormingTexan replied to Kvothe the Bloodless's topic in Entertainment Discussion
This will also have the advantage of having a good actor. After Book of Boba Fett I think the fan popularity around him was based in part on the fact he never really talked lol. I'm not saying he is terrible but no where near the caliber as Ewan McGregor. I'm looking forward to it and really think it has the potential to be really good. Edit: Btw Kvothe when is the next book about you coming out? -
I think the tie in to the GB pretty well explains why she would have potentially used/seen a Seon. As far as her big secret (SA5 Prologue Spoilers)

Hopes and dreams for Obi Wan Kenobi
StormingTexan replied to Kvothe the Bloodless's topic in Entertainment Discussion
From the trailers I am cautiously optimistic. I was extremely hyped after the first Mandalorian season and thought the second was really good as well and excited where Disney was going. This was all ruined with Book of Boba Fett which the Mandalorian take over towards the end was the only bright side of that show. Seemed like they just completely gave up on this being a stand alone series and decided to make it a preview for Madalorian season 3. I completely agree with @The Bookwyrm hopes and hope this is exactly what they do. I think they have a better shot at this as there is already a beginning and an end we know so it is just filling in the blanks instead of resurrecting a character everyone thought was long dead and gone. -
@SwordNimiForPresident Perfect thanks! I also am a big fan of the original series (as well as the movies). I am in my early 40s so kind of grew up watching TNG so still have fond memories of that series as well (I wanted to be Will Crusher). I liked some of Discovery but kind of lost interest after a while. I completely agree on the "story of the week" and exploration part of it being the most most appealing so this may be worth renewing although may bank a few more episodes before starting. Edit: Anyone else watch Outer Rage? Just finished it last night. I was intrigued after the first couple episodes but cant say I loved it at first. I really liked how it all tied together at the end though and hope they do another season to answer the rest of the questions.

Good to know! I canceled my Paramount+ membership a while back but was thinking about re-starting it for this.

Sure especially if you use a muzzle load like a blunder buster (you can pretty much use anything in those). I would think you could use a smooth bore shotgun as well with cartridge shot. In this period they would more than likely have paper cartridges and I would think you could use iron pellets since they would be incased. We really just never did this in our world because lead is a better option and we are not worried about alomancy lol. This would be before the pump action shotgun so you are going to have either a single barrel or double barrel breakaway shotgun so two shots before reloading max. At some point they may make a "Judge" analog which is somewhat like Vindication but it allows you to shoot jacketed rounds, shotgun shells and slugs in a revolver format. Edit: Actually right after I posted this I wanted to look it up. I am mistaken pump actions were around in the late 1800's and early 1900's so they may have that but I would assume a breakaway would be more prevalent.

Iron bullets would not be used in rifled barrels because they would be harder than the the gun barrel and would damage the rifling and could even cause the barrel to explode in the users hands. They can be used in smooth bore weapons like an old cannon (like on a pirate ship). I am sure some of this could be explained away with you know magic but form a practical standpoint iron would not be used in a revolver like they have in this era.

Shallan Davar/Marc Spector/Steven Grant Parallels
StormingTexan replied to Philomath's topic in Stormlight Archive
I am glad someone else has these thoughts. Not really spoilers but putting in tags incase you do not want any info on Moon Knight. -
As expected the ending felt a little rushed but all in all I enjoyed it and it felt like a satisfying conclusion. I am a little bummed there is not a second season planned but hope to see Moon Knight as a cameo in some of the other series coming up. This is probably one of the MCU characters I knew the least about going in. Never read the comics so I no comparison to how this all panned out compared to the comics but he is a very interesting character.

Spoiler - which herald died the same night as Gavilar
StormingTexan replied to Odontosaur's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think the leading theory is that it is Chanarach not Shalash. Same red hair.- 4 replies

Agree there is a lot to wrap up in one episode and I can only imagine that it will tie into something else at this point with the new Dr Strange movie being the most likely candidate.

Welcome! We share the same favorite series and tES is one of my favorite books of Brandon's!
-
Love these books just re-read them about a month ago.
-
Yes! I have a sneaking suspicion we have seen glimpses of the third persona so far but guessing they will come to the forefront soon. Everything makes a lot more sense now (well not everything haha) after the last episode.
-
I had no idea what was going on here lol. The next episode explains it though. Yes very dark but this one has been my favorite episode since we kinda learn what has been going on.
-
From what I understand it has been recorded and will hopefully be released soon. It is being produced by Mainframe (Brandon's audio book company).

Theory of Cusicesh's Identity(spoilers for all Stormlight)
StormingTexan replied to Aon Ati's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think this is an interesting theory and I really like the idea of a connection here. This WoB does not necessarily disprove it but I think reading between the lines he is saying Cusicesh is not a trapped spren (like the example given). I am not sure what the "something there" is though.- 5 replies
