  1. Yup. Now both Aman and I have done scummish things. You are fully justified.
  2. Now this is odd, because I seem to be the only person voting for a solid reason. I think Elodin's claim of coinshot would make the inquisitor more likely to target him. Nobody else has quite as solid of a reason to vote for anyone. (The only vote that starts to explain its reasoning is Mailliw's vote on Amenuensis, just because he's a strong player.) So why the pileup on me?
  3. On N1, Master Elodin Jokingly(?) said that he was a coinshot. If I were the inquisitor, that would be my best lead.
  4. I think I'll have to agree. The inquisitor is the only one who doesn't gain info from faction lists being revealed (The reason being, he'll convert people and know faction lists soon anyways.) My vote's going towards open faction lists.
  5. Spyfall, anyone? That sounds fun. My only issue with it is the information being fished for. If it's game relevant, like the above example, some villagers are rather lax with their info sharing. Once the secret's out, it's just a matter of time until the eliminators win. Either that, or Young Bard turns into a mayor. I'd suggest a more arbitrary piece of info, such as "Lord Penrod eats a doughnut every day." It's an additional mechanic without the entire game hinging on that info being leaked. Perhaps you could even give the eliminators a few guesses as to what the code phrase is, and if they PM the GM with the right phrase, they receive a small bonus, such as another protection role. Edit: Missed that The Young Bard is the GM. I still wouldn't want to give a piece of info that would win or lose the game, though.
  6. Oh boy, now I want to start an analyst's union. Our Motto: "We have so much writing and we never agree on anything." It would be great.
  7. Shady grinned, hoping to put Ranal at ease. "Trust me. It is. You obviously can't stand skaa. Neither can I. They don't have enough money to spend on my goods, but are too proud to work for me. Things were better when the Lord Ruler was in charge." Ranal shifted from one foot to the other. "Where are you going with this?" Shady leaned forward, eyes glimmering. "A new ruler will rise to power. The fool Elend cannot hope to stand before him. Support him, and you may find yourself in a high position." Ranal snorted. It might have been a laugh. "And this ruler's name?" Shady coughed, holding out his hand. "You know I would tell you. But I have a horrible affliction. My memory fades unless I am touching no less than...8 boxings worth of gold. My sincere apologies."
  8. That was my first impression too. However, in this game, unlike MR7, the inqusitors actually have powers (and in fact, those powers are stronger than anyone else's) and they convert others. In MR7, the discovery faction would grow weaker as time progressed. In this game, they grow stronger as time progresses. Taking out the spiked faction should be our top priority. If other factions take collateral damage, huzzah!
  9. Wanna buy some gen-u-ine allomantic metals? Only 5 boxings each, and that's cutting me own throat! 'fraid I can't provide any contact info, for...personal reasons, but once you try it, I assure you that you won't want to go to any other dealerships for a few days. In fact, you won't want to go anywhere at all, that's how pure these metals are. Is it possible to give other players metals or boxings? (inside or outside of my faction?) Is it possible to set up a trade with another player to trade or sell metals? (For example, perhaps I know that Metacognition is a seeker, and Gamma Fiend, in my faction, is a mistborn. Would it be possible to buy a vial of metal from Meta, and then give it to Gamma? Could I give one of my own metals to Gamma?)
  10. I guess I'll jump on the bandwagon. Change my name to Shady!
  11. I'm in! Sign me up as Skydall. Any chance secret roles are in the game? Because the only non-standard role is an allomancer, so hazekillers would fit right in.
  12. Of the people in the list of hoid, these are probably my top suspects. They are the top four posters from the list, but didn't settle down on voting on anyone. This could be because they're trying to keep a low profile while still keeping a facade of contributing. Master Elodin (2 posts) (talked about amenuensis, didn't do anything) The Only Joe (18 posts) (talked about things, voted on people, didn't settle on anyone) MarkIV (7 posts) (fought against being voted on for QF15 reasons, voted on amenuensis as a reminder, but took it off) Arrenae (15 posts) (discussed and voted quite a bit, but didn't settle on anyone by the end of the cycle) I'll vote on Joe for now, because he seems to be saying the most while doing the least.
  13. Bother. I'm not sure who to vote for. The grouping up on Amanuensis makes me think he's probably good. But his reasoning being from the QF15 dead doc gives people a reason to vote for him, so I don't think very many (if any) of the people voting for him are eliminators. So I'll vote on the Young Bard, for frowning upon active players. The 17thshard needs all 10 shards to meet their win condition. Odium needs to shatter all 10 to meet his win con. I'm pretty sure the sacrifice will happen naturally, without anyone revealing themselves. And given that there are more people willing to sacrifice themselves outside the 17thshard than inside it, someone revealing themselves would probably help both Odium and 17thshard, without helping the village at all. So, I would recommend that shards do not reveal themselves.
  14. This looks like one of your first games, so I'll point out what's wrong here without voting on you: Bandwagons are almost never good. They limit discussion without providing any extra reasons to vote for someone. If you think Mark is actually suspicious, say something like, "Mark's posted without saying anything. I think he's trying to stay unnoticed." There's still another day left in the cycle, as Arraenae pointed out. Plenty of time left to vote for someone for more solid reasons. As Joe pointed out, last-minute votes are unlikely to happen. The only situation where they're really useful is when eliminators are trying to lynch the GM, or when the eliminators are about to win. This is the first cycle, so I don't think eliminators will place any last-minute votes. I voted on Araris before, but it looks like he plans to post a few times per cycle. Also, on the subject of worlds we start out on, I'd prefer not to share mine. Not everyone will share their worlds, so if I'm the only one on my world who shares, I'm more likely to be picked off by a trigger-happy gunslinger. I want to be judged based on my posts and reasoning, not my starting position.
  15. No reason, eh? Let's see if I can find some plausible reasons you would have voted for me, so I can respond to your accusations. Voting on people first cycle is a good idea I called you out on the Terris peaks I went inactive during one game, and you want revenge (not sure if you were in that game, though...) You're jealous of my profile picture I have one of the worst RP names ever Now that I have some reasons, I can respond by changing my name to Brian. Your four other points are all valid, though. Also, I'm voting on Kynedath, because he hasn't spoken yet, and I'm suspicious of mute people.
  16. I don't like the bandwagon on strawman, either. Strawman's contribution to his own death makes me feel like he's just a bored villager. I feel like Macen can give us just as much info. In addition: Lopen? Really? I thought you were against bandwagons. There isn't that much evidence against strawman, and I don't feel like you're helping discussion much by joining the lynch train.
  17. What would I reply with? A concrete statement saying whether or not I fell? I don't want to do that, because I want to leave the eliminators guessing whether they can attack me or not. After that, I hadn't been on to see actual suspicions and votes on me by Mark. So here's my response. No, first I voted for Lopen for RP reasons. (And you specifically pointed out that vote and criticized it, telling me to take it off, despite nobody else having voted yet.) I voted on Kynedath because he was inactive. And I'd rather have an inactive player left behind than an active one. True, that. Although I was rather confused when you sent me two PM's, told me to delete the first one, and got in a discussion with the GM in the second one. But sure, I'll send you a message. And now for my suspicions. After explaining that I voted on Lopen to get some discussion going and for RP reasons, Phattemer voted on me, his reasoning being that we needed discussion and it looked like I was just going to leave that vote there. (Even though he left his vote on me...) Because of a misunderstanding of the rules, he then voted on me this cycle. I don't think that's evidence that he's evil, but I feel I should return the favor. Phattemer.
