  1. I attacked him because I had evidence on him. I thought that either he or Adavantos had made the reckoner kill, and once I reread the write-up, I realized that two people had gone for the same person. I don't think he made the reckoner kill, and I don't think the reckoners would have an matter disruptor on their team. So I think Clanky is innocent.
  2. Oh. True. I usually don't pay much attention to how the kills happen, just that they do. In that case, Clanky. I'm interested in why Hellscythe is participating in PM's, but hasn't posted in the thread once. edit: that's right. Hellscythe went on a trip. In that case, Mailliw.
  3. Either you or Adavantos is likely a reckoner, based on that someone made the reckoner kill along with the matter disruption kill. Someone needs to send the kill order, and I scanned you as having made a kill order. I scanned someone before as having killed someone, but they had heat vision. I don't think that's likely in your case, though, because most of the heat vision people have already been eliminated. So if you killed someone and Adavantos killed someone, that means that one of you is a reckoner. One of these people is almost certainly a reckoner. In most cases, I wouldn't have done that, but I know that one of these people is a reckoner, I just need to narrow down which one. And killing an epic is an acceptable loss for finding a reckoner. Especially when he's one of the more active ones and we can analyze his previous posts to find more reckoners.
  4. I just always saw it as that Prof thought some people just couldn't be gifted. Just like some people are better at using gifted powers than others, some people can't use them at all. He encountered several people who couldn't be gifted, he just never made the connection that it was epics that he couldn't gift. When Conflux explained it to him, he understood, but didn't think to apply it to Megan, because she was dead and he didn't want to dwell on it too much.
  5. I thought Adavantos had done it because if I were an eliminator, I would have revealed one of my eliminator allies. I figured that Clanky and i would have equal evidence unless ripple was found guilty. If Ripple was guilty, then I would be killed. When I'm found innocent, Clanky would be killed. So that's 2 eliminators for the price of 1 innocent. If Ripple was innocent, then clanky would be killed. That's 1 eliminator for 1 innocent And in either case, if clanky were innocent, Adavantos would eventually be killed, so I figure voting for ripple was good sense.
  6. FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES! A WILD SMEDRY HAS SPAWNED! How do I know he's a smedry? Because my epic power is invisibility. Cycle 1 I scanned Kynedath and found out he killed someone (turned out he didn't he just had heat vision) Cycle 2 I scanned someone else. They didn't do anything. Cycle 3 I scanned Clanky and found out he killed someone. What does this mean? Well, the chalk trail shows that Adavantos killed someone. That means that the other kill was made by Clanky. (unless he also has heat vision and the random result showed that he killed someone. Highly unlikely.) edit: voted
  7. You've read steelheart, right? You know that the reckoners can imitate epic powers pretty well, right? You know that the rules clearly state that this is role madness and everyone has epic powers, right? But I like where you're going with not killing me. edit: on second thought, I understand your confusion. The rules state that all epics have powers, but then goes on to say, "No role is safe. An epic may have 1 or more of the following powers. Reckoners may have (a) power(s), but they would be granted by technology. There is no distinction between an Epic power and a Reckoner power. You may use 1 active power per cycle." So, do Reckoners have the same powers as epics? Or was that just for flavor?
  8. It's not that you knew he was innocent because of his playstyle, it's that you presumed him guilty only because of his playstyle. Because he followed the same pattern he had before, you assumed him guilty and voted on him, knowing that he wouldn't be back on to defend himself. That feels to me like an eliminator move.
  9. @arraenae, you expressed suspicion of me because I switched my vote to Orlok. You'll notice in my initial post, I expressed suspicion of both Bridge Boy and Orlok. I decided to side with someone else rather than voting all on my lonesome. Given that Anamaximder was innocent, I feel more justified in my assertion that BB is guilty. His effort to cause confusion by voting on imaginary characters isn't helping his case, either. edit: Actually, it looks like someone tried to sign up in post #28 in the sign-ups, and wasn't recognized as a player. Did someone slip through the cracks? How is that going to be resolved? I am now less suspicious of BB and would like to place a vote on Mailliw, who professed inactivity but turned up to continue the bandwagon on Anamaximder. What do you have to say for yourself?
  10. And I'm minorly suspicious of Kipper. I've never been fully comfortable with his whole insult thing. It seems like a good way to fill posts without actually contributing much. Not really enough to put a vote on him, but a niggling issue nonethless. tldr: Quit hypocriticizing, Kipper.
  11. Looking back over a few previous SE's, Anamaximder didn't post in the first day. This time, Anamaximder posted once and then went inactive. Significant change? Very different? Not really. I feel like either BB or Orlok is grabbing onto something to try and start a bandwagon. And I'm gonna go with BB, because it seems like he just voted for the exact same reasons as Orlok, without actually confirming for himself.
  12. A board game weekend? I can empathize Mailliw and Hellscythe, shame on you. If you're leaving, you should at least be doing something fun while you're away. Araris is usually pretty active in SE, isn't he? Because it's been 2 1/2 hours since rollover and he hasn't posted yet.
  13. Hum. Now that's interesting. I have never had this pulled on me before. Only one of us is telling the truth, and I don't know how to convince people. Lopen's better liked, he's made more contributions, and Adavantos backs him. Let me see what evidence I can pull up that Clanky is innocent: Both of us scanned Clanky as a surgeon, diagrammist or not. Unless both of us are diagrammists, Clanky was a surgeon. A surgeon has been protecting Adavantos for several cycles, and people thought it was Clanky. After Clanky died, Adavantos was still protected. This means that either the diagrammists have two surgeons, or that Clanky was not the diagrammist surgeon. If the diagrammists had two surgeons to start out with, we're doomed. If Clanky was not the diagrammist surgeon, I don't know where Lopen got his scan from.
