    Passwords?

What browser do you use? If it is auto-filled in the form when you visit the login page, you can get it from there. I can guide you through the process or find a manual on-line on how to do it, just say what browser are you on? Admins are not able to tell what password you use, as it is not stored in the database. The forum database keeps only hashes of our passwords, and it's practically impossible to figure out your password based on the hash.
  2. I don't remember correctly, but didn't Brandon say that there was life on couple of shardworlds before the Shattering and before Shards came there? Maybe there was some life on Scadrial millions of years ago. However, I think that most probably Harmony put some oil in the ground to boost the development of humanity, as a counteract of TLR slowing it down for a thousand years.
  3. So, I bought a new phone and I'm in need of new sounds/alerts/signals for incoming calls and messages Any ideas? I was thinking about the Tardis sound for incoming call, but I don't know if it's not too geeky
  4. I think the Autonomy intent drives Bavadin to separate his world from other Shards as much as possible, trying to avoid any interactions with them. He want's to be in full control of his world. So maybe Hoid got kicked out of Bavadin's shardworld because he would interfere too much with it.
  5. Guys, about Alcatraz breaking Honorblade. Remember that swords are ADVANCED weaponry, much better at fighting Smedries than guns I think Alcatraz would win anyway if only he came prepared to the fight. Also, he is much more likeable, so my vote is for him.
  6. The whole concept of the story reminded me of a movie called Innerspace from 1987. I watched it as a kid, maybe 20 years ago... I have no idea why I remembered it... Probably some Glyphs made sure I keep it
  7. I'm out of schools for a couple of years now, having graduated from university and all and I don't feel old! That's the wonder of the Internet, we can talk like we're all the same age as the age doesn't really matter here So yeah, we're all young and beautiful! For me the hardest part of education was without a doubt second year of higher education on the university. I finished high school with 98% on my math exam and got accepted on the university without any problems. However, comparing math from high school to math on the university here is like paper plane vs. Boeing 777 :/ For the first time in my life I had to study really hard to even pass some of the classes and I failed to do so anyway on the first try. Fortunately the programming part of my field of study was more natural to me and allowed me to continue studying
  8. I had to google for images as I didn't know that word and yeah, that's exactly them... It seems my English teachers were lying to me about how to talk about this kind of food Surprisingly, Google Translate translates both pancakes and crepes to "naleśniki". So I guess we don't really have a word for pancakes in Polish
  9. And there is this place called Central/Easter Europe... maybe someday... I've never eaten the american version of pancakes, but I like our Polish and maybe EuropeAn version (our pancakes are flat like tortilla, but sweet and we put different stuff on them)
  10. Those covers are awesome I'd love to see the author make some for Stormlight or Mistborn (not that the covers of SA or Mistborn are bad, I'm just curious what they would look like ).
  11. You have to have a special permit from police to own and carry a gun. You have to write a request, give them at least a plausible reason why you want to have a gun and pass a couple hours long course. You have to be at least 21 years old, you cannot have any criminal records, you have to live in Poland and be mentally stable. So yeah, it's not like you can get a permit in day or two, but also if you really feel like you should have one or your job (ex. as a security guard) requires one, then it's not that hard to get. Since 1998 there are less and less requests for a permit every year. In Poland, for self defense you can legally carry mace, taser or a knife.
  12. Seonid, eat a cookie as a reward! And an upvote for you!
  13. Oh my, reading the last couple of posts I'm under impression that bomb threads are something quite common in US o.O Through my many years and many schools I've attended there was only one joke bomb thread. Well, I'm glad I live in Poland, we don't have any psycho kids showing up with machine guns in our schools too
  14. I've learned how to use Linux terminal + EKG2 to chat on facebook without using the browser my boss caught me too many times, because the facebook page is too easy to spot from the distance, even if the window is pretty small... But now, HA HA!, I'm unstoppable! My facebook is indistinguishable from pieces of my legit work environment!
  15. I think that setting a bomb on an empty football field would be quite hard to do unseen. Leave a package on the middle of the field and people during evacuation would be suspicious of it. Dug a hole and bury it, and you'll most likely leave traces and also reduce the blast range. Football field seems as safe as can be in such situation. However if you prepare a couple of handmade frag grenades instead of a bomb... that's a different story :/
  16. My vote is for Hoid, he'll obviously find a way to win with Wax in a non-lethal way. Getting him out of the ring or something should be easy for Hoid.
  17. When you look on someone who's asleep you can see their dream, if they have any at the moment, and interfere with them. If the person isn't dreaming at the moment, you can make him/her dream. I think they should require seeing the victim, as there is actually no way to defend except for waking up. To spice things up a little bit, let's make it very hard to wake up, if the user of those Lenses doesn't want his victim to wake up... That allows for very sophisticated ways of torture. You can try to avoid sleeping while you're kept captive, which is torture on it's own or you can sleep and face some nightmares. Nasty OR you can ask your friends to give you some nice dreams if you trust them
  18. Those sound interesting We should use them sometime
  19. Or that she needs a bee, not a bae that woul be fun
  20. 5x Grandpa Smedry, although I'm afraid he'll be late for his duel I'm surprised no one has nominated Hoid.
  21. Just tell them you're from everywhere I didn't have any fears regarding going to university, but maybe that's because I was 19 back then. At what age do you go to college in US? I've never thought that there is a book about being an adult o.O now I start to wonder if I'm doing OK
  22. How do you count days? for me it's 11pm, so I'll vote again in my morning. Don't think I cheat please 5x Alcatraz
  23. And that I can totally understand and sympathize with.
  24. All right Delightful, I agree that there had to be some Poles even worse than Nazis, but I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about the proportions of the good vs bad. In defence of the German civilians I'd like to say that my grandfather got cought during the war and was sent to a camp on German territory. Luckily he managed to escape from the train that they used to transport prisoners. He ended up on the German land however and for few months he was hiding there. Many German civikians helped him, providing food and sometimes even shelter. So lets remember that not all Germans were bad people.
  25. I don't have any questions or concerns about your world and idea, but I'l like to offer help with research I'm living in Poland so I guess I might be able to help a bit if you're stuck with something regarding what was going on in Poland etc. I'm a Pole and I'd like to inform that during WW II it wasn't only Jews that were treated in inhuman ways. Thousands of Poles were killed in concentration camps. Thousands were killed just randomly on the streets of our occupied cities. When you walk around in central Warsaw and look around, you will easily find dozens of statues and simple stone tables placed in memory of civilians simply executed on the streets without any reason. So please believe me, that so generalized statement that "Nazis and *often* the Poles enjoyed" in Nazi monstrosities is, well... let's say untrue. There obviously were some Poles that sided with Nazis, that were responsible for deaths of Jews, but they were very few. Plenty of Poles however were killed for trying to help Jews or for no reason at all. So please, remember that Poles were *not* having fun hunting Jews.
