  1. Does anyone know who the three people Arraenae was in PMs with were? It was Kipper, Ada and someone else correct? Queensteph, could you possibly reveal what you found about Lopen? Does he have forcefields by any chance? Or I suppose Lopen could answer this himself if he wants. So we have ten people left and at least 2 probably 3 Reckoners still mixed up in there. At this point I have no-one that I would say is definitely on one team either way. I will be putting my vote on Lopen until I hopefully get some answers to my above questions
  2. It wasn't the chalk that made me think SK. It was that Ada said he requested for chalk to be in all of his kills and SK usually need to leave a sign behind at all of their murder sites. Oh no! He's on to me! But actually if the Reckoners had Arranae with a kill ability+ me as Prof with a kill ability(and forcefields) and a group kill I think that might be a smidgen overpowered and we probably would have seen the devastation from that already.
  3. Well this definitely changes the whole dynamic of the game. With two (at least) neutral players and a Reckoner with 4 powers I think that the regular 20-25% eliminator team is higher than what we have in this. Perhaps even only three reckoners overall. Once we learned that the their was a potential gifter type hidden role I was expecting the Prof to be the hidden role on the reckoner team. That's obviously not the case since Phatt wouldn't give us three hidden roles... Would he? Or perhaps Maill had begun working with the Reckoners and was giving them powers all along which is how Arraenae got four powers.
  4. I'm awesome like that Also if all the Reckoners have that many powers then I expect that they have a pretty small team. I find it quite odd that Arraenea didn't really seem to have used her kill at all. Also I would like to point out that my theory about Ada based on the write-up wasn't actually wrong! His kills really never seemed like matter disruption to me and it turns out that they weren't.
  5. So apparently there is some sort of secret gifter role. They seem to be the reason for Maills continuing lynch survival. Why would an Epic protect someone from the lynch like that? I figured that I would explain my kill target for tonight ahead of time in case I can't do it next cycle for some reason.
  6. Considering that there were 3 kills last night that isn't the case. We both claim to have killed Araris and both of those attacks seem to have been done by matter disrupters. That would mean a third player made the Reckoner kill and since you don't have to be a matter disrupter to make that kill it could be anyone.
  7. Could I just get some background on this math here PK? I'm not sure exactly how this points to me being 69/70 a reckoner. For all we know none of the people involved in this are reckoners. If we go by that logic we could just kill half the players in the game thinking that someone involved here has to be bad.
  8. I decided to kill Araris for a few reasons. None of them especially good. Basically since this is my first game having a kill role I have had a hard time finding real reasons to justify killing anyone. SilverDragon was because I was convinced of Adas guilt at the time and they made sense to be Reckoners together. For Araris though I knew I would be unable to access the game for the last 4 hours of the cycle so I had to pick early who I should kill. No-one other than Ada stood out to me but I wanted to hear more from Orlok before actually doing something about it. So I went with Araris because he was in LG16 and hadn't been too active. He had mentioned not being too active in the future and I figured that with another game starting his lack of time would be even greater. Also his votes had seemed a bit forced.
  9. You better watch out when I get my boot back Merick. I'll be coming for you! Clanky finally recovered his boot after only 15 minutes of trying. The whole time he could see Merick laughing at him from across the room. Clanky was not happy. He was a respected member of this gang and here was Merick disrespecting him for no good reason! Noe that he had his boot bak Merick would pay! Clanky pulled his boot back onto his foot and tok his first step over to where he could still see Merick snickering only to feel his bare foot land on a sharp steel protrusion coming out of the ground. What the!? Clanky lifted his foot that he had only recently recovered the boot for and checked out the bottom. The whole sole was missing, it must still be stuck in the debris that had captured his foot. Clanky threw away the remainder of his boot in disgust. Luckily he could see another boot for the right foot sitting just a few meters away. As he picked up the boot to see if it would be a good fit a foot fell out onto the ground. Well I suppose that's why someone left a perfectly fine boot laying on the ground. I guess whomever this belonged to won't be needing it anymore. Clanky thought as he pulled the almost perfectly fitting boot on. Now that he had two functional boots again Clanky looked over to where Metrick had been standing only to see him fly away into the distance. Well he's an Epic. I feel like that should have been something that I should have known by now. Not only are there traitors within my gang but there's also a crazy Epic out to get me. Things are looking great! Realizing that there was nothing he could do about either of those problems at the moment Clanky decided to focus on something a bit more attainable. After his numerous tumbles over the wreckage during his fight to retrieve his boot Clanky had become sweaty and covered in dust and blood. He wasn't going to be able to catch any traitors if he looked like a common street rat. So the first order of business was to clean himself up. If he was going to face off against an Epic at least he would look respectable doing it. With that thought in his head Clanky set out to find some water so that he could clean himself up a bit before facing his seemingly insurmountable problems --- I would like to hear a bit more from Hellscythe and Elkanah. They both showed up right at the beginning of the game to do some little joke votes but haven't done anything since. This is more suspicious to me than any of the people who have been completely absent since they know the game has started and have posted something even if it lacked any reasoning. I could add Phatt to that list but considering he has another whole game to GM he has reasons to not be on that much. Edit: Vote Colour EDIPlus I don't want to arouse the anger of my GM in case he decides to smite me in QF12.
  10. You are right people. I did kill someone last cycle and it was Araris. It was me and not Elbereth who had attacked him alongside Ada. This also relates to why I went after Ada so much when he revealed himself to be a Matter disrupter with Accelerated healing. I am also a matter disrupter with accelerated healing and am still having a hard time believing that their would be two identical roles on one team. When Elbereth died and was revealed to also have Matter disruption that put my focus back onto Adavantos since I find it doubtful that the Epics would have three kill roles in a game this small, especially when two of them have multiple lives.
  11. Clanky stared at the remains of what had once been the leadership of his gang. All the most powerful and influential people in the gang had been gathered here to deal with the incursion of the rival gang and now they were all dead. As he moved closer to the origin of the explosion the ground around him began to shift. Did the bomb damage the base of the building? This whole place is going to collapse! Clanky tried to scramble towards the exit but the ground kept shifting underneath him. He tried to take another step but something grabbed his foot before he could. If his foot hadn't been held so tightly Clanky would've fallen flat on his face. Clanky was afraid to look back to see what or who had grabbed him. His mind told him it had to be the arm of some half dead gang member who had been buried under the rubble or maybe another traitor who had come to finish of the job and kill everyone that the bomb didn't. Clanky hesitantly turned his head back and saw that his foot had only become lodged into some loose debris. Weird, I felt it tighten on me. How could I get this stuck just from some loose stone? Looking around to see if anyone had noticed his predicament Clanky noticed Metrick looking at him and smiling. How did he survive? Metrick had been right in the middle of the table when the bomb had went off. Nobody could survive that! And why is he smiling? Everyone had almost died and they were still in serious danger now! Something is obviously going on with him. Clanky tried to pry his foot free from the debris so that he could go and confront Metrick but it wouldn't budge. He pulled as hard as he could. Once, twice and on the third pull Clankys foot came free of the debris and he rolled down the side of a pile of rubble. Clanky looked down to see if he had damaged anything in the fall but everything seemed all right until he got looked to his feet. The boot from the foot that had been stuck was missing and a quick examination of the area showed why. There was his boot stuck as tightly as ever in the debris he had just escaped from. ---- I don't really see much benefit in this course of acton since it only makes sense for the traitors to use the bodysnatcher early anyways when it is easier to find out the killer so they will probably hide it regardless. In this game however where kills are indistinguishable from each other it is the assassins/ray gun people who are most at risk since they will show up on dead player inspection the same as a traitor would. EDIT: Meta, feel free to torment me in any way you see fit. I have no plan for my character so I can just adapt to whatever you feel like doing.
  12. Orlok. Have you found out anything from your invisibility? Or something that can prove your claim? As far as I can see you used that role claim to avoid getting killed and then haven't talked about or discussed it since. I would like to hear some more from you about this. EDIT: Vote colour
  13. Ada what exactly was your reasoning behind killing Kynedath? So we had at least three Telepaths working at the start of the game and potentially four. While setting up a broad info network is good and all I expect that one of the Telepaths may be a traitor. It is also harder to expand the network since new PMs can only be made upon death of players in already in a PM.
  14. Yep this really kills my theory, too bad. Sorry Ada and yes I agree about the third attack being the reckoner kill since the first one is obviously yours from the white powder and because the second actually says that it was done by an Epic. SilverDragon could also be partially my fault if someone agreed with my theory about you since I mentioned the fact that you too were possibly both evil.
  15. Phatt said that we can trust the write-ups in respect to the kills. Sorry Ada but as soon as you claimed to have asked for the chalk you revealed yourself and sealed your fate. Sure you may have done all those things if you were a reckoner but you also could have been feeling confident because of MR10 so figured you could probably survive in the spotlight again. Also if Ada is a Reckoner we need to take a good hard look at TheSilverDragon. EDIT: Removed randomly appearing word
  16. When antimatter and matter collide they are both destroyed and energy is released, a lot of energy. Antimatter bombs do exist theoretically. They contain antimatter and allow it to collide with antimatter causing all that energy to be released just like any other bomb. So the only way to kill someone with antimatter isn't to throw it at them so that they "cease to exist". Sorry the bomb makes a lot of sense. Also about how someone can survive that remember we are dealing with evil superheroes here after all. Would antimatter kill superman?
  17. So Ada claims this was his kill attempt: If you look carefully you will see that the weapon used was a knife. This was the other kill attempt: The attack was an explosion. Now here is Phatt talking about write-ups: Orlok and Ada both claim to have survived based on a second life. So if they are both telling the truth then we would learn the nature of the attack based upon the write-up. Now Orlok was attacked by a knife according to Ada which would mean Ada was attacked by an explosion. Now tell me which of those seems more like the attack came from anti-matter? Obviously the explosion. So that would mean that Ada actually attacked Orlok with the Reckoner kill and Ada was attacked by anti-matter. So that makes Ada a Reckoner and Orlok either an Epic with Accelerated healing or a Reckoner pulling a WGG which I doubt. I also assume from this that the Reckoners must have a matter disrupter but it is not Ada. Why you ask, because if the matter disrupter was an epic then they would know either Ada was lying or the Reckoners didn't use their faction kill which would have made Ada a prime target for them. tldr: I propose that Orlok gets protected this cycle and that we lynch Ada. Plus the Reckoners have a Matter disrupter who isn't Ada. EDIT: Added last sentence
  18. Phatt, is that allowed for any kill roles/protection roles that they can insert a hint into their uses that appear in the write-up? I should have specified that I meant best way to prove his role without killing him. Would it work if somebody with a role they wouldn't mind having revealed in thread came forward so that Orlok could follow them and next cycle reveal the role? EDIT: Ninja'd by Ada. But you did try and kill him last cycle. So that means this plan was made this turn. So you were protecting him from the reckoner kill by forcing a lynch on him that you maybe could have reversed in time? What about all the questions that would have come your way when you didn't actually kill him with your roll when you had already told everyone you would if he wasn't lynched? Were you hoping for a legitimate reason to remove your vote and for somebody to suggest a better target for you to kill with matter disruption? If not then I'm pretty sure your plan wouldn't have worked. Adavantos.
  19. In MR8 there was a similar opinion of no eliminator kill role in MR8 since it seemed like it could be overpowering. However that was counteracted by giving the village an abundance of shardplate which is the equivalent of accelerated healing in this game. Given that apparently two accelerated healings have showed up this game I would say that there is a possibility that the same type of balance mechanic could be in use for this game. I understand the flavour component for that and there isn't really any way to determine if what you say is the truth. I just found it interesting that you were repeating the fact that you are innocent multiple times. Exactly. You didn't specifically say that because it is obviously not true. But by placing those two statements in the same sentence people will naturally associate them with each other without you having to actually say it. I am just saying here that if I were you and had successfully pulled off a stunt like that I would feel more confident in my ability to do it again. Also the whole point of setting a standard such as doing things twice is that you can use that to trick people by making them think you are following a standard. EDIT: Format
