  1. 1. The problem with this is that you are the other option for the lynch. So either he votes for STINK which helps to keep you alive, Votes for no-one/someone who obviously isn't being lynched which is fairly suspicious or he votes for you which coincidentally would've made you the one who was lynched that turn instead of STINK. If anything that is a point against you not for you. 2. Yes that happened and probably was supposed to not let anyone know where the traitors were located by not killing anyone. basically any kill may have helped us narrow down on you sooner. I will say that I still think it would've been best to try and capitalize on the double kill there and then use the well-connected to try and manipulate another lynch and then you could've won but I do see the logic of having you both on the mission. Another of which is so that you can make this exact argument. 3. Once again he did actually save you from the lynch since the votes were 4 for stink and 3 for you.
  2. I am putting my vote on Hellscythe. Also when you point out that you were scanned by Luna I would like to remind you that I also was scanned by Ripple which mean less than nothing at this point for either of us. Also sorry for not posting much but it's reaching the end of the semester for me and I have a bunch of major projects due soon.

  4. Is a hot dog a sandwich?
  5. If we put Shallan on the mission and she is good then she dies and nobody else does. If we put Shallan on the mission and she doesn't die that means that she is a traitor. So this way we keep the active players alive and can confirm fully shallans alignment. The only way that I this wouldn't be a good idea is that you want someone to die so that we can narrow down teh suspect list.
  6. So I was super worried that Kyn and Lopen were the final traitors and playing us this whole time. Kyn just seemed to okay with voting for whomever he was told to. Anyways I think that we should have Shallan on the mission today. For the simple reason that only one player can die either way so it would be best to have the inactive die from not putting in an order at this point I think. Plus this way we can find out if she is actually evil even if it is very unlikely.
  7. Why can't people remember to put in their teams!!!!!! Now we will be down to 7 people if the traitors make a kill meaning that we can't afford any misslynch anymore or we lose. These missions have really killed us recently with people forgetting to send it in.
  8. Sorry everyone, that sudden switch by Lopen because of such a simple reason really seemed wrong to me. I recommend we put all our biggest suspicions on the mission so that hopefully all the traitors will be in that group so that if they do decide to fail the mission to kill someone at least it will cut our suspicions down by one.
  9. So I'm still confused by Rae being revealed as a traitor. I know we have decided that it was a ploy by the traitors but why exactly would they do that? I don't know and I don't like not knowing. Anyways new theory is that Lopen and STINK are the final two traitors. Prior to Adas death I talked about him possibly doing something crazy if he were an eliminator based upon his looming inactivity. That never happened. What did happen and had been happening for a while was Lopen going hard after Ada and Luna. So knowing that Ada is about to go inactive and therefore be unable to help his team they decide one of their own number should be pushing for the lynch on him to gain trust. Which is kinda why I trusted Lopen most of the time for his involvement in trying to kill Ada. So fast forward to this turn and you have Lopen throwing out a bunch of reasons to vote for STINK and suddenly changing it because he could provide the time a message was sent. Now why exactly does him knowing the time clear him? If Ada was talking to Lopen about STINK don't you think he would mention it in the doc? Sure you wouldn't know the exact time but you could narrow it down to the correct day and then go early enough in the day so that it was likely prior to them talking about it in the PM. But Lopen says in response to STINK "that is exactly the right answer", did Ada say the time that he told STINK in the PM? Or did he just say" I just told STINK I was going to scan him"? Either way you are soft-clearing a player using something nobody else can verify. An even more interesting thing to think about there are the time changes. Are STINK and Lopen in the same time zone? If not then Lopen did you correct STINKs 11:26 PM to your timezone to ensure that the timing was right when you include that? My theory is that Lopen went after STINK just long enough so that he could make it seem like he was trying to kill him and then soft-clear him when people began changing votes to him. Another point against Lopen is that if he were a loyal mistrunner he should have been trying to kill me as soon as Luna was found out to be good. Why you ask? In our PM when Lopen presented his theory about Luna and Ada being evil together I pushed hard for us to Lynch Luna first before ada so that we could use her evilness against him. So basically I was pushing for us not to lynch Ada until we had learned about Lunas alignment and if she were evil then I would go after Ada with him. However after Ada was revealed as evil and Luna as good Lopen barely even mentioned it. Why wouldn't he at least bring that up for discussion at some pint? Reason being that if I trusted him then he could just direct my vote anyways so why would he kill me? So Lopen why did you let that whole thing slide? Hellscythe STINK Also Ripple it would be really nice if we could get your results please!
  10. Yea I suppose I did kinda stop discussing immediately after trying to force people into discussion. Sorry about that, it's kinda hypocritical of me. Anyways all of Lopens reasoning for STINK being a traitor seems to make sense except for why he would reveal an evil scan on Arranae if Ada was his hacker. So I went back to the post where he reveals it to see what I can find. Firstly there doesn't seem to be that Raes death was inevitable prior to STINKs reveal so that's not a reason he would do it as a traitor. Second in the post STINK says the hacker is a she and third that he had talked to others about Rae being evil prior to the reveal. Did anyone still alive receive any of this supposed PM talk from STINK? Another reason I could think for them to do this would be that Arranae was about to go inactive so they decided to try and get STINK and Ada trusted by killing her. Does anyone know about Arranae having something come up that would make her be unable to do much in this game? This is partly backed up by her using the assassin kill just prior to being revealed. Some other things I noticed when looking back around that time was Ada putting STINK as his most trusted player, Maill proposing inactives be put on the mission to die which included phatt, anamax and Shallan immediately prior to his death and a lot of talk between Ada, Arranae and STINK about Adas drunk posting. I'm not sure if any of that is useful but I still find the reasoning for exposing Arranae to be light at the moment.
  11. A few things I was pretty confident that Shallan wouldn't put her action in because she hasn't been on the shard in three weeks. I suppose if she were a traitor the mission would have succeeded with her not being around to place her mission order but either way I'm fairly certain she wouldn't show up for that. Second yes I wasn't for lynching Ada, I said some things in thread about how I expected him to be playing differently if he were a traitor which apparently was all wrong. I realize also that the PM about Luna and Ada is probably super condemning with the way things ended up going but at the time what I said seemed logical. Also it's very illogical to go about your reasoning for Kyn and I not being taitors together because he is voting for me. If you'll recall MR11 which just happened to have me, Ada and Kyn on it me and Ada were pushing hard to lynch Kyn all game despite us being on the same team. So I wouldn't look too much into that. Could we get a list of the players Ripple scanned and when said scans happened? It would be nice to see if they are logical scans and how soon after the scans those players were killed. Also Lopen, Do you think that there could be three traitors left? If so do you have any thoughts on who a three player traitor team would be?
  12. I think it would probably be worthwhile to to reveal the hacker at this point. I agree that with all the roles that have been revealed it probably wouldn't take much for the traitors to find out. Why don't you think HS is a traitor Lopen? There is most likely more than one traitor out there. If there are two and they are both on the mission I don't expect them to kill anyone on the mission. If neither were on the mission than maybe I would make a kill at that point since people are just taking it for granted that the missions will succeed regardless of whether or no there is a traitor on it. But if I were a traitor and we a player on the mission and one off the mission I would probably go for failing the mission and making a kill. That would lower our numbers by two and everyone else would still be a suspect. So based on no kill I expect both traitors were in one of the groups and decided not to risk drawing suspicion to the group they were part of or there is an inactive on the traitor team so the last active player is trying to avoid suspicion in any way. With the way that HS defended Shallan and was part of the mission makes me think they are both traitors and HS didn't want to reveal himself by failing the mission and there was nobody around to make a kill. Now I doubt there are 3 traitors left given that the villages victory condition involves us needing 4 living players at the end but if there are then the above paragraph doesn't mean that much except that I would expect them to both fail the mission and use the kill if at all possible because reducing our numbers by two this ate in the game seems like a very worthwhile plan. I think that because of this whomever is making the missions should probably put their most trusted players on the mission to avoid that possibility. Yes I do agree that there are logical reasons for not using the kill at this point other than everyone being on the mission but that isn't my only basis for HS.
  13. Because that is exactly what I didn't say? I said can we have some discussion other than just half sentences voting for HS without any other discussion. I left my vote on HS because that is who I'm most suspicious of. I'm just worried about the same thing happening as last turn where the lynch on Luna was set after a few hours and we got no other discussion for the rest of the cycle. Since everyone seems to agree that HS is most likely a traitor who do you think the other members of the team are? Why do you think they didn't make a kill if they weren't all part of the mission? Those are things that can still be discussed.
  14. I'm not saying to switch votes I'm just asking for more discussion on the game. In case you haven't noticed we've had 4 votes for HS and only two of them say anything other than"cool lets kill HS" Theres other stuff that we can talk about and I don't want this whole cycle to be wasted waiting for HS to die. If we have done more discussion maybe we can actually have other leads to go on if HS ends up innocent.
  15. Could we please get some more discussion besides "yep let's kill HS" I understand that he may be most likely to be a traitor but there are other options. I wouldn't be surprised if we had a team of something like Shallan and Anamximinder since shallans inactive and Anamax has been known to forget about these games from time to time which could explain why we had no kill. Also we have STINKs consistent statements about not wanting to be part of a mission and then once he is included in a mission we have no kill. Maybe he doesn't want to be part of the missions because his last other teammate is inactive and can't send in the kills?
  16. GM question: How do Grams bought in Imre differ from those made by an Artificer? Do the amount of uses you get out of a boughten Gram depend on the buyers artificing ability or is it assumed that it was made by a Master artificer and thus has three uses? Also I'm going to place a vote file a complaint against Wonko for forgetting Klin in his first post about him and an insane man being the only Vintish nobleman in the game. Obviously Klin is as sane as they come! But the vote is mostly for him not contributing at all since that original post and for the "Any ideas on where we should start?" in his post that I always see suspiciously as seeming like you're trying to help without actually helping. Edit: Colour
  17. So reasons for there not being a traitor kill: 1: All traitors were on the mission so none of them could send the order in for the kill. 2: All traitors were on mission or were inactive (Shallan) and couldn't send in the kill 3: Forgot to make kill 4: Didn't make one on purpose So further thoughts: 1: Players on the mission were Lopen, HS, phatt and STINK, assuming we have three players left that would mean only one of those players would be innocent. I am inclined to trust STINK and Lopen for their roles in the deaths of Arraenae and Ada respectively so I doubt this is the case but if there are only two traitors left HS and Phatt being the final to could be reasonable if not for the fact that phatt was the one who made the team with them both on it. 2: Same as 1 except with three players I don't see it making sense again but if there were only two players I could see Shallan and HS as the remaining two traitors especially given HS calling for us not to kill inactives. 3: This may be the most likely case where a traitor may have been on the mission and anohte/ the others weren't active during the second half of the night so couldn't put in the order. 4: Anyone have thoughts on why they would do this? Maybe to cast suspicion on players on the mission would be my best bet. In most of theses cases I see HellScythe as fitting best as a traitor in most of these cases EDIT: Colour
  18. I'm not sure exactly what you are calculating here. It seems to me you are finding the probabilities of any random player being a Skindancer and a member of each social class. Your calculations are (probability of being in social class x)*(probability of being a skindancer). Which is the probability of someone being a member of both input groups. If you are trying to find the probability of any player being a skindancer it is independant of social class and solely equal to the % of skindancers in the game. If you are instead trying to determine how many skindancers would be in each social group based upon randomly generated social classes the equation would be=(chance of anyone being a skindancer)*(# players in each social class).
  19. "The grass doesn't mix well with the Tenaculum" "Tenaculum? Why would you put tenaculum in your potion? Actually don't answer that I don't want to know. You didn't actually drink it did you?" "Well..." Klin pauses just long enough to violently puke into a bush just off the main path "Maybe?" "Klin you've got to stop this! You're going to kill yourself if you keep this up!" "You're right as always I can't keep doing this..." "Good" "...alone" "No! No way I'm going to help you kill yourself with this obsession." "Fine! I'm sure that there would be plenty of people who would love to be my assistant in this great quest that will change the world forever!" The next day students around the University began seeing posters on every open wall throughout the university that read: When I was younger so much younger than today, I never needed anybody's help in any way! But now those days are gone I'm not so self-assured, Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors! I"m sure you've all heard of Klin and his quest to be Forever Young and now for the first time ever he is searching for an assistant! Only the best and brightest will be considered for this position Apply today! "What is that first paragraph even about Klin?" "It's called poetry! Trust me, one day it will be almost as famous as my eternal youth potion!" ------- So if anyone wants to join in on some RP in Klins search to be forever young I'm open to anything so feel free to just jump in. I know that everyone is probably just going to use their EPs however they seem fit but I've been thinking about how to distribute EPs to best counter the Skindancers. What I am thinking is that the Skindancers will probably each just focus on one field so that they can reach master asap in order to destroy the fields as quickly as possible. Also I expect that since they are the only ones who can work together with complete trust they will probably have at least one person working towards master namer and another towards master physicker so that they can use Psychological counselling to counteract the innate insanity roll bonus that high level namers have to deal with. I think the best way for us to counteract the skindancers here would be to not split your EPs so that we can beat the skindancers to being Masters preventing the destruction of any fields of study.
  20. Another thing to take into account is that the Aturan Nobleman may have a bit less income they also pay less in tuition so the gap in spending money between the two isn't as great as it seems. I don't however see any problem with using powers to check if the richer players are Skindancers first given that there is more purchasing power there that the traitors can use. Also GMs: Does the vote removed by the Horse and Four also negate the tuition increase that comes from being voted on?
