  1. The problem with claiming to have used Hidden and to actually have been Mind forced is that whomever used mind force on you would know you lied and they could (hopefully) tell the thread, sure it might get them lynched but it would be worth it to get rid of a trader in my opinion. Also I'm not really sure how powerful the double sori/1 mentor thing really is. I'd say it's actually less powerful than having two Soris with different mentors since you can get two confirmed trappers through their death. This way there is just one target for the traders to kill and then the villagers are out of confirmed players. Basically it acts as a pre-set seeker trust group that can't be expanded, that doesn't seem especially powerful in a game without any real seekers.
  2. Beautiful and mind-force have quite different effects. Also looking back to the write-up your vote wasn't cancelled so it couldn't have been mind-force. Unfortunately this doesn't help us get any closer to finding out the reason for the lack of a kill. All discussion about it seemed to stop with the whole PK/Sori thing. I would like to second my request that I think it is worthwhile to have anyone whop mind-forced someone come forward since they may well have RBd the attempted killer.
  3. You do realize that you just voted for the one person that can easily be considered to definitely be a trapper? I won't say that he had perfect logic for everything he has said but it is very unlikely that he is a trader. That would mean that STINK and Kynedath both are also traitors. While I would commend such a bold strategy I doubt that anyone would be brave enough to pull it off.
  4. Well that is interesting. GMs is Sori a role that only one person can have such like the Shards in LG 15 or is it just a role any amount of people can have? Either way I would like to hear from Kynedath and STINK on this. I don't really like STINKs way of revealing it his claim. Either way I think we can agree that PK is a trapper. EDIT: Ninja'd by Maill and Hell, basically saying the same thing. Fixed trapper and trader. Words are so confusing.
  5. Water, I would say that Hells vote was purely a poke vote. People often think of silly reasons to put votes on early when there isn't really anything to be suspicious for. So I wouldn't place too much emphasis on like that. So I'm thinking that hidden or mind-force were probably the main two possibilities. Do we think it's worthwhile to get people to reveal if they Mind-forced anyone so that we can hopefully focus especially on them as potential people who got role-blocked? Not that that is the only option but I just thought we could definitely use it as a starting point for conversations.
  6. @PK it was Elbereth not Elkanah who was moved. Anyone wanna claim the? Also PK now has at least one Aviar from that lynch. So he gains more from it than anyone, Shouldn't you be the one most likely to be an eliminator then PK? Do you want to tell us what Aviar you got from Phatt? Still often lynches don't necessarily have an elminator as part of it. I know that you can easily say that "Oh we lynched a good guy, let's take a look at who voted for them since they helped kill a villager". I find that it is just too easy to get caught up in stuff like that and ignore the possibility that no eliminators were involved.
  7. I suppose that that is fair, I still think that the benefit of getting someone else protected outweighs the potential loss of use for a few Aviar. If we had a role scanner in this game then sure it might be a bit risky but there aren't any super important roles that you can block with it.
  8. PK, you did answer my previous query so my votes coming off of you for now. Shallan, while I do agree with your C1 lynch sentiment I don't exactly see how this is promoting discussion with a single poke vote that you never even follow up on. As you say it is the discussion not the kill that matters so shouldn't you be voting to try and get the discussion flowing? Also GMs, clarifications on Mind shield please. It says in the OP that they prevent people from acting or being acted upon. Does that mean it protects from attacks as well? From Aviar theft? If so then I will have to disagree with Luckats post here. I would definitely recommend villager use of mind force if it is protective. EDIT: Spelling errors and maybe I'm sticking my code in white text somewhere?
  9. Well, I doubt your code will get guessed correctly but good luck on convincing someone to guess at all. I think it might be a bit beyond me to decipher which of the 28 random potential codes is the right one. Especially since you could just not even put the actual code in the coded paragraph. So you no longer believe that C1 lynches are worth it then? Was it only the lack of success that made you change your mind (that is expected after all) or is it something other than that?
  10. That's fair but I still don't think it is bad to discuss it, anything that promotes game relevant discussion helps. The odds are not good at all first cycle but honestly it's too be expected to misslynch more than not especially early on. What a C1 lynch does give us is somewhere to start from. It all just promotes discussion which is how you catch the traders later on.
  11. I'm of the opinion that C1 lynches are always a good thing (Except maybe MR10 still not sure about that game) since you need something to happen to get the game started. Also GMs does your code need to be in two separate posts or can you just have it twice in one post? If that is a possibility then that will definitely change things.
  12. take a look That's some pretty shoddy logic there PK. Traders can say logical things too, also Aviar stealing is a useful tactic to catch people in lies or something like if you steal a Beautiful Aviar from someone when there is a known trader with RB abilities out there. Honestly it just looks more like a way to easily make a teammate look like a trapper. EDIT: Vote Colour
  13. It's probably going to get kiboshed as soon as the GMs take a look. I doubt that they like people breaking their mechanic so easily like that. Also I honestly didn't even think about the possibility to hide the code in RP before you said it. EDIT: Fixing some grammar and stuff from my stupid phone.
  14. I probably won't be talking much at the beginning of any of the cycles considering it starts very early in the morning for me and I also have class every weekday morning. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up.
  15. I didn't even sea that there was other water in this game. We are going to have to work together in this game if we want to stay afloat!
  16. I will sign up as Last of the Equinox. A young bay has definitely been a trapper all of his life and didn't just run away from home and make up a name so that he could catch his own Aviar.
  17. Sorry for missing the last while I was out of town for the weekend and had a big lab report due today. I should be good for a while now though. I'm not really sure that I understand the logic here. Is it that Mark is an eliminator and they had a plan to redirect the scan? So Mark isn't actually blind then he is just saying that so we don't learn that the traitors have a way of easily redirecting scans? This then makes kipper good since you don't think that they would work together on a plan like that if they were eliminators? Or because you think they used the same ploy on Kipper? Cause it wasn't mark who scanned kipper (unless Shallan is also a traitor).
  18. Sorry the way I read it was you were going to out him as being a blind snitch if he didn't soon. The wording seemed to imply that you knew everything Mark had posted. Kipper. EDIT: I'm going to put my vote back on Meta then. We know there is a traitor beggar, Meta is a beggar, he was scanned by a blind snitch as a beggar and that has a 50% chance of being correct.
  19. So Kipper, you knew all along that the scan came from a blind snitch but you didn't seem to think that it was important enough to mention at any point? I understand not revealing it at the beginning or else you wouldn't have gotten any usable reaction from the reveal sure. But we have spent all day discussing this but you never thought to say "by the way, that note was totally from a blind snitch". You needn't have outed Mark as the snitch but by waiting you forced him to come out and now everyone knows his role and you could've easily prevented that. Meta Edit: Vote colour
  20. I have been thinking about other possibilities for Meta's scan in case he is actually a loyalist so here goes another possibility. Based on the suspicion Meta accumulated during day 1 it was logical to expect him to be scanned during the night. If as a traitor you had a street performer would you target Meta and bring an action to one of your teammates hoping to redirect the scan? The risk is that an assassin is still suspicious of Meta and decides to attack him so the only way I think they would do it would be if they also have a bodyguard. Thoughts?
  21. At the very least Kipper will get scanned by the snitches if Meta ends up good. (Right Ada?) So sure it's possible that kipper is making a play here as an eliminator but it doesn't seem like the smartest one. If the traitors have a Mirror then traitor!kipper would have a chance of survival. So if Meta ends up good and we decide not to kill kipper outright then I recommend we target him with every role that doesn't kill him, that way he is very unlikely to be able to wriggle out of it by using a mirror and hoping it deflects Snitch #1 while Adas blindness causes him to scan someone else.edit: They also may have a street performer but a bodyguard can prevent that from even having a chance to redirect a snitch
  22. Because if kipper was lying about this he would basically be signing his own death warrant? Meta could have the Compulsive liar side role which would make this a lie but there is no reason for kipper to knowingly lie about this result. Also sure blindness could have caused it but I still think it wouldn't be worth it for an eliminator to gain that much suspicion just to cause us to lynch one loyalist.
  23. Since we can get new serial killers from the Ssecret blood-ties side role I'm honestly not surprised we don't have an SK yet. There may very well be multiple sets of secret bloodties leading to more SKs later in the game. Also Meta, there's no reason for kipper to lie about this so I am going to assume he isn't. I don't really like how early this was put forward since it negates the possibility of us getting anything from the lynch discussion and from observing Meta for the remainder of the cycle. We need to have another way to simulate a lynch threat now though. Should we do a pseudolynch and just get the assassins to target our chosen player at night? EDIT: Vote Colour
