  1. Her blindness is a game mechanic. Seriously. The different levels jump around across the time span of the story and you play as different people. Anyone who has begun to have the red liquid/shibito blood/(its actual nature which is a huge spoiler) in their system gains the ability to see through the eyes of the zombies. So it's stealth horror where you have to infer from what the zombies see where they are, whether it's safe to go somewhere, and so on. When you're the blind girl, you only have their sight to work with. And it's terrifying.
  2. The worst example of this I've ever encountered: I was playing the horror game Siren, and this was a level where you have to guide a blind girl through a level crawling with shibito (not exactly zombies, but zombies). I got to the end of it, where you need to climb up a ledge, turn around, and pull her up. I couldn't quite line up the pull-up, and a shibito shambled over and killed her. Restart the level, go again. After a few more tries, I got to the end again and successfully pulled her up - and triggered a cutscene where she almost makes it up, but gets killed by a shibito. My character then runs off. Siren is full of frustrating moments like that.
  3. I always like to drag this one back out of storage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ds6-o4gomRc
  4. I sternly bow to your sleepy pun.
  5. (looks left) (looks right) I hate shipping! (runs off)
  6. At the risk of eating up loads of site members' time if they haven't heard of this, your trope is described here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StalkingIsLove
  7. "Well, in my day Neptune was the 9th planet... until it wasn't any more."
  8. Derleth really built it into a mythos, but his stuff is unfortunately not public domain yet.
  9. It's interesting how audiences much more readily accept diabolus ex machina.
  10. Different designs of carriages had become popular in different areas of the world, and the right-side/left-side thing became set based on where the driver sat. Cars just followed the rules carriages had set.
  11. One thing that bothers me (looking at you, Lord of the Rings trilogy) is splitting the beats of a story so far apart you've lost track of what was going on by the time you get back to some characters. Bonus points if you need to constantly check a map to see if people are near each other, for instance. Just reading the story should let you experience the story, without exactly needing to have memorized names of cities on the map that haven't been important yet, alternate names people have, or the backstory explained in appendices. Sanderson... Sanderson tells stories.
  12. I had thought it looked terrible from the promo photos, but this trailer upgraded me to meh. There's hope for it yet. Weakest point: Definitely the Hot Topic Joker. Strongest point: I'm really digging their take on Harley Quinn. Kind of reminds me of Jinx. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6EVstWcq-Q
  13. So Batman's basically like, "Mankind ill needs a savior such as you."
  14. My answer to that is this: (spoilers for Series 1 and Series 8)
  15. You go talk to your goat, talk to my goat, talk to me... My ex-goat brought a new girlfriend. She's like "Oh my god!" I knew you were goat when you walked in. 'Cause baby, now we got goat blood.
  16. Fresh Fruit: A Tragedy in Two Acts Act I A studio apartment in ancient Greece. Ionian columns or something next to a PlayStation. King Somethingclus enters. SOMETHINGCLUS I shall enjoy this fresh fruit when it has ripened! Somethingclus sets the fruit in a bowl covered with pictures of people eating grapes or something. It's next to the cell phone charger. Somethingclus blinks. Act II The fruit has now... gone bad. SOMETHINGCLUS I foresaw such a treat! Oh, my hubris! CHORUS Behold the hubris of kings! For it is always hubris. END.
  17. Hmm... Ubik, by Philip K. Dick?
  18. That reminds me...
  19. Please, sir, I want some goat. You're gonna need a bigger goat. That's my secret, Cap. I'm always goat. "I love goat." "I know." Do you think my being stronger or faster has anything to do with my goat in this place?
  20. It'd be great with just Vin. Like those early WoA moments where she's just wondering what she's doing.

Should we be ashamed to resurrect unfortunately neglected AMAs?
  22. 6 movies and 3 TV shows - not bad for a franchise that proclaimed there could be only a singular entity.
  23. The first movie was fun.
