Loaded for bear can mean two things: 1) You are ready to take on big conflicts/situation (since you would need a lot of ammunition or the right kind to take down a bear) 2) You are in a pissy mood and are ready to react dis-proportionally with irritants. Loaded with bear is somewhat silly. Like using bears as weapons, or having a stomach full of bear meat stew.

I prefer "loaded with bear"

As far as good female authors: Catherynne M Valente: she writes from middle grade to adult to plain - flipping - amazing. N K Jeminsin is great. Fifth Season is a good one to get into. Nnedi Okorafor is fantastic. I think Binti would be considered too short, but you can read Akata Witch, Who Fears Death or Lagoon. Anne Leckie with Ancillary Justice is science fiction, but it is great. Katherine Addison's The Goblin Emperor Anything by Sofia Samatar, but I think Stranger in Olondria is considered the one to start with. Ruthanna Emrys' Winter Tide Ada Palmer's Seven Surrenders That will do for now, since I'm sure someone else will mention Mary's Ghost Talkers. Edit to add: Ursula K Le Guin, Patricia McKillip and Octavia Butler are classic suggestions (along with Margeret Atwood). Also, Everfair by Nisi Shawi.

Hmmm...I think another controversy is in order... The animation in Teen Titans Go! Is better and more fluid than in the first Teen Titans animated series.

@officiumdefunctorum I understand! Some works require a certain frame of mind to read and enjoy. If you can't get to that frame, or if getting to that frame is detrimental, you won't have a good time with it.

@Overstorm To be sure, it's not bad, but it really is not so different from the American cover: namely, it features an Asianish woman on the cover. Beyond that, it almost comes down to if you prefer a crisper image or whatever style the original is in.
