  1. ChickenPlague already seems to have that territory, unfortunately (though he's marked by his old name, Dayblood, on the map.) Do you want another area?
  2. DISCLAIMER: I have not read White Sand. No. Adonalsium was the 'original' god. Rayse took one of the shards of Adonalsium after the Shattering. In regards to this, I would guess you are right, because of this WoB (although, be warned, it has implied White Sand spoilers) Seeing as Trell is strongly suspected to be Autonomy (a.k.a. Badavin's Shard), this seems highly likely to me. So, a slight adaption of the based on this. I think Bartbug (the questioner) might have it slightly wrong. The Sun is not Badavin/Autonomy/Trell/Nu Ralik. It's Nalt/Vun Makak. You may have just confirmed another Shard we know nothing about. With the intent of... Jealousy? Greed? EDIT: We'll probably be able to pinpoint this when the White Sand Graphic Novel (Part 1) comes out in June. That will make or break this theory.
  3. You get a very angry Han Solo who'd been wondering where it had gotten off to this time. *inserts lit stick of dynamite*
  4. Yeah, I've been through the savings vs. Sanderson debate. I've settled a deal with myself in the end - I buy Cosmere books, I borrow non-Cosmere books from the library until I get a stable job (as opposed to casual jobs that I do now and again right now).
  5. Blood... Sickness... Cute... Pick the odd word out, everyone...
  6. Someone posts a short word or two. E.g. Brandon Sanderson The next person posts the first word that comes to mind about that. E.g. Awesome! The next person comes along and posts what comes to mind about that. E.g. The Avengers. And so on. Starting Word: Secret
  7. Well, mathematically speaking, he's not nearly out of the running, with 47 states and around half (700 odd totally) of the unpledged delegates (meaning they can vote for whoever they like, regardless of the popular vote) for the Democrats. But, Clinton has a pretty massive lead right now due to about 300 having already said they will vote for Clinton. In the popular vote, they're neck on neck, so unless Sanders gets a popularity spike (which happened to Obama back in '08 when he was running against Clinton), it will be down to him winning over the remaining unpledged delegates. TL;DR: It's not conclusive either way, but it would be a harder trek for Sanders at this point.
  8. And, on a completely different topic, Clinton beat Sanders in the Nevada Caucus. Trump is winning in the South Carolina Primary, but less than one percent of the vote's come in, so early days. Should I set up a 2016 American Election page for random info like this?
  9. Well, I'm reasonably sure crop circles started in America, though I can't confirm it. Also, the Chupacabra is Mexican-ish, but it's still sort of relevant.
  10. While mathematically possible, I have to say I've never heard of that actually happening. That's... really quite impressive.
  11. Well, they haven't actually documented the entire globe yet - they only know it's spherical because it's in the Words of Founding. It's not surprising they don't have a modern cartography system.
  12. Well, the 17th Shard is around in Elantris, which is set a fair bit before Mistborn. So, unless he basically hijacks the 17th Shard for his own ends, he's not leading them. Hoid isn't working for the 17th Shard, which is why they're trying to hunt him down in WoK (in the Ishikk chapter). Also, a few names to research up on: Frost - suspected recipient of the letter, due to his non-intervention policy, and because he is a dragon (currently only been seen in Dragonsteel Prime) Khriss - suspected founder of the 17th Shard (her or Frost), and it is nearly certain she wrote the Ars Arcanums.
  13. When is it due? I don't know the response time, but you might be able to get through to him through his contact page.
  14. I have now. I knew about some of what was said there, but other parts completely blew me away. That's... just wrong. On a related note, this is awesome. Whoever thought of it was a genius. It's still in beta at the moment, but I look forward to seeing great things from it when it starts up in the future.
  15. Brandon was hoping for a Christmas '16 release date, but he said later that that was 'unlikely'. The tentative date is Spring '17 (or Autumn if you live in the Southern hemisphere).
  16. I have several reasons not to like Rubio and Cruz. As a pro-gun control, pro gay marriage, pro human rights, and someone who is extremely concerned about climate change (and all-round Sanders fan) Rubio and Cruz are very unpopular with me. Because I don't want to start a flame war about it, feel free to PM me about it or ask me in my AMA. Also, I only just realized how similar 'Sanders fan' and 'Sanderfan' sound. *cue dramatic music*.
  17. That sounds an awful lot like Ted Cruz actually... He's even a Tex. You have OK Republican candidates, you have rubbish Republican candidates, and then you have Cruz, Trump and Rubio. (Apologies to Trump, Cruz or Rubio supporters.) Honestly, I never thought I'd see the day when Jeb Bush was the reasonable Republican candidate.
  18. Well Zas has control, doesn't he? That's what I meant to say before. Also, it seems to be working for me...
  19. *meticulously adds latest RAFO Card onto the top of the card tower* EDIT: Did anyone else receive the newsletter at Calamity's release? Or did they skip it because it was too close to the BoM newsletter? (Or is it just late...)
  20. I seem to recall reading about how difficult Theoryland was to troubleshoot due to it's bespoke programming. Maybe it's just an errant 1 in a million thing? I know just enough about coding and computers to know how little I know, so I wouldn't take a guess from there. Just to help Rubix work out the source of the issue: Alfa: Try a different computer, or a different internet connection (though if this is impossible for you, then never mind). If it works, then it's easier to narrow down the source of the issue. Meg: Do you mind downloading a new browser on your tablet and seeing if that works?
  21. Oh well. Maybe if we start sending Brandon fan-mail, though... How fast can he produce RAFO Cards? He might need a printing press laid aside specially...
  22. Have you finished your shift yet, Twi? What was it? An automatically sent letter, or a personalized one?
  23. When you learn most languages, you have a choice of two genders: male and female. When you're an English person learning German, your chances of getting it right are even slimmer: 1 in 3. Masculine, feminine and neuter. (Der, die and das respectively, for anyone interested. The teacher had a couple tips, but they were usually suffixed by "except for these exceptions to the rule, so it's probably better just to learn each one individually anyway..." ) EDIT: On a different note, I had the first meeting for a group at school this year, and I set up a group e-mail. As a quick thought, I decided that I might just add a line telling people to respond when they get it so I know they're in the group. There are about 15 people in the group, and I'm dreading opening up my e-mails now. 15 isn't so bad, but we still haven't recruited the younger years yet...
