You should have been in Sydney last Sunday. We had one of the largest in the past century. Sydney gets more rain a year then London, even though London is permanently drizzly. In Sydney, it's basically either sunny, cloudy or in a massive thunderstorm. -

The timeline doesn't match up. However, this did set me on an interesting idea - we've previously assumed that the Homeland was another continent on Threnody. If there was worldhopping involved, then it's possible that the world they emigrated from was Scadrial, and that the Evil was, in fact, the Deepness. The people who emigrated were the ones who fled before the Final Ascension. And, Scadrial and Threnody are probably close in the Cognitive Realm, as we know they can both see the same patch of stars, called the 'Starbelt'. I'll go through and check for other cameo similarities sometime in the next few weeks or so. If I'm right, there will have to be one subtle reference to TLR somewhere in Shadows, I'm sure. EDIT: Secrets, generally, this is called necro-ing, bringing up a long dead post. Just thought you should know. EDIT II: I think I've found a link. The silver dagger was called a 'symbol of the old religion'. Silver was one of the metals that, for whatever reason, was immune to Allomancy, and as such, was one of the metals Allomancers made daggers out of, besides glass, obsidian, and aluminium.

That's great! I hope it's resolved soon. Although part of me was hoping to see that guy go to jail or get attacked by a vigilante or something... -
2 Darkfriends in 2 Days... We actually knew 2 Eliminators for certain after Day 1, and we still didn't manage that in LG21... I'm beginning to suspect Gamma put in a secret role that allowed you to fake the alignment of a victim in the write-up... Anyway, I'm going over the last 5-6 pages now. I might not post again until the next day turn, because I have 2 assignments due tomorrow and I've barely started either of them. On the upside, tomorrow evening I can dedicate time to SE completely and totally.

OK. I wrote this up on the train. I haven’t seen any new posts since my last one, but I wanted to get a more in-depth analysis in. The vote on Hellscythe seems to have appeared very quickly, as there was no suspicion that I saw until the last 12 hours. This seems to have taken off through a lot of bandwagoning. Particularly since the main argument against Hellscythe was that they defended me – which Hellscythe admitted was because we RC’d each other (sorry El) last night. If you lynch Hellscythe, you will regret it. If you still think he's guilty, vote for him tomorrow.
-
Just to clarify, I am not voting for Straw. I forgot to green it out. And, Hellscythe RC'd to me in the PM last night. They're village.

Sorry Bugsy, I got confused with you and Seonid. That's what you get from trying to hold 20,000 pieces of information inside your head without writing anything down. Bugsy, were you the one who said Nyali and I were the two most suspicious players in the game? *sigh* Meta - You seem to be suggesting that continuing to vote for me will generate further discussion. I'm sorry, but I'm really not sure how much I can say. I've already told you my version of events, which everyone, except you (even including you? Maybe I'm not understanding what you're trying to say.) has seemed to accept. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for further discussion, but you haven't asked me any more questions - you haven't even attempted to poke a hole in anything I rebutted, and you basically ignored my counter-points in favor of condemning me further because someone else also happened to agree with me. You didn't continue on the conversation you yourself claimed to encourage. Straw - please do scan me, and confirm my role. However, I'd rather you not reveal my alignment unless you feel it's strictly necessary (although, I suppose saying it's not a no-role would clear me of Fain, too, which is nice.) Bear in mind, that if you lie, and I get lynched because of it, then I'll be revealed as a villager, and you'll be a confirmed Eliminator or Corrupted because of it. (Sorry to play hardball about this, but I get paranoid when I haven't had enough sleep.)

I'd recommend arranging a meeting with the principal personally. See if you can get them to straight out give a reason for why he's not allowing it. That way, you can rebut whatever the argument is, and try to get him to change his mind. Plus, even if he still refuses, you'll know what his argument is for his side to counteract it should it get to a stage where it goes to the news. -
Well, Elodin basically tried to strongly imply he was the Dreamwalker role as well, without actually confirming anything. I think he's trying to claim any role he thinks will keep him alive. I guess a no opinion is better than an 'Eliminator Read', which is what a lot of people were saying. I can live with that. And I have no idea where Winter went. She was so active last turn, though, so I assume it's just RL stuff which she's sensibly catching up on. (I should probably do the same...)

This is chiefly aimed at Meta and Bugsy, who I think are the only ones voting for me at the minute. Re, the Day 1 lynch votes: As El already mentioned, I made two vote changes, within a 10 minute period (from Sheep to Straw and back to Sheep), here, which I explained when I wasn't flying out the door here. I'm open to all questions, but I'm not sure whether you don't believe me, or whether you just didn't see it. Meta (or anyone else, I suppose), if you have any questions, I'll probably be on quickly in the morning about 3 hours before rollover, so I'll try and see if there's anything else you me to answer. Be warned though - it could well be seat of my pants 'comment as I read' responses, which is what made you so suspicious/annoyed at me last time (it's just because of the rollover time of day and my RL schedule. There's not much I can do.) Re, the Night 1 Nyali redirect: I've basically said everything to say, which is that I didn't perform an action last night turn. Which is why Nyali's action failed - there was no action for her to redirect. There isn't a second Whitecloak (or if there is, there's no evidence of it from last night.) Nyali also wasn't faking the roleclaim (not that anyone was suggesting she was), as that's the only way she'd know that I didn't perform an action last turn. Again, any and all questions are welcome - I'm not going to tell you my role, so don't bother with that - but otherwise, fire away! Knowing that I'm not an Eliminator, I'll vote for Elodin as the most suspicious option. Normally, I wouldn't risk losing the PM's, but there's no other major candidate besides myself to vote for. I don't find Gunshy or Hellscythe as suspicious as Elodin, and I'd like to see both of them respond before I judge anyway. If you believe this is for some Eliminator-y purpose of bandwagoning, I'll mention that he was at the top of my list of suspected Eliminators back in Night 1. I can't be bothered doing another list of suspects today. I'll do it again Day 3 at the latest, because I'll have less people to talk about by that time, which means less work for me.
-
I have about three percent left on my battery, so I don't have much time to respond. I haven't seen the last page and a half or so, but I'll get back to it when I'm home in a couple hours. Nyali's action 'failed' because I didn't submit an action. No-one detained me, to the best of my knowledge no-one else performed any other kind of action. EDIT: I will submit a more in-depth response when I get home in a couple hours. And Nyali, I know this is easy for me to say, but I'm sure it was a perfectly innocent mistake on Gamma's part. He probably got mixed up about moving a non-action actually did. I'm sure that all of us would want you to stay. How else can we accuse you of being evil and try to murder you?
-
Straw's not on the list? Actually, seeing as there's already a vote on Elodin, I'll vote for Straw, as I'd like both of them to speak up in a bit more detail. Straw, you claimed scanner, but I'm not entirely convinced. Why were you so keen to bandwagon, with only one public profile vote manip to account for? (Elodin's given an explanation, which, while somewhat vague, is at least plausible.) Phattemer, anything to say? I missed you not posting last time. You're not dead through inactivity, either. Does that mean you've been making PM's, or maybe posting in a Doc?

Okay. This will be a long post. First off, I'll give an overview of what was going on in my head this morning. (Bear in mind, this was all before I discovered Sart was evil.) I'll give my views on other people after. Due to RL stuff, I had been planning to leave home (and internet) between 9:45 and 10:00 (Sydney Time). To compare, I made my first post at 10:02, an edit at 10:05 and my second post at 10:09 (I only had time because I was waiting on other people, but even then I knew I'd have to dash out the door with a moment's notice once they were ready) Okay. So, when I log on, furiously scrolling, I see that Alias has responded. Check. I don't even read that much of what he says, because I only voted on him as a poke vote and I had no time to do so. However, I see that in the last vote tally, Sart is pulling ahead in the lynch numbers. The thing is, at that point, I hadn't seen a genuine post about Sart being an Eliminator. The first few votes came from people who were annoyed about Sart discussing whether or not to have a Day 1 lynch, which I understand is a regular topic for him to bring up. However, to vote against him for that seems less like a vote to kill an eliminator, and more like a personal vendetta against a particular player as a grudge. Which, IMO, goes against the spirit of the game. Now, knowing that Sart was the Forsaken, that argument falls flat. But, I believe even Wilson admitted that she didn't expect that result. Had Sart been Eliminated, and had been discovered to be a villager, it would have been for reasons that were basically ganging up on someone. (I know I'm over-simplifying this, but the point remains.) At the end of the Day, I did want my vote to go somewhere, and I wanted it to go somewhere genuine. I didn't think voting for Sart would achieve that. So, in the heat of the moment, I looked at the major candidates for lynching (Sart, Straw, and Sheep), and I picked the one who I felt there were the most genuine arguments against - Straw. The previous day, there had already been suspicions about Straw. With his lack of explanation, people couldn't see what was going on inside his head, and what we did see seemed - eliminator-y according to several people. While a far cry from a solid choice, with only a couple minutes, I decided to vote for Straw. However, having done that, and still having a bit more time, I quickly reviewed a couple posts. I saw Elodin's accusation, of Sheep, and Sheep's reluctant admission. At the time, this seemed to me like a cover-up, in which Alias was trying to fix the problem they themself made. Now I've read the thread properly, I don't agree with my earlier view, but that's what I was thinking at the time. In addition, I then see Sheep trying to accuse Elodin, which, again without context, seems like Sheep trying to shift blame of themself to someone else, and get their accuser on the defensive. Again, with context, my opinion of this has changed. So, I decide to switch my vote back to Sheep. Then I head out, narrowly make my music performance, and only come back this evening. Ignoring IKYK's for the minute (I can't be bothered with the headaches), had I been an eliminator I would have been a lot more organized than that. I'd probably have logged into the doc first to see what the plan was, and followed that, instead of whiplashing around and changing my mind. Also, I wouldn't have brought attention to the fact that it was a tie, as I would hope it to go unnoticed and hopefully end the day without a lynch. The other thing is my mistake about rollover time. Had I known that it was 1 hour left instead of 3, I probably wouldn't have done as much. I'd assumed that there was plenty of time for people who were on to see what I'd done and to counteract it if they were significantly concerned. As it turns out, I was wrong, but seeing as there were more posts and more people online in that one hour than there were in the last 3 hours or more of Day One LG21, it turned out all right. So... yeah. That's what happened. If anyone has further questions, feel free to post in the thread or PM me this night turn. --- Now, for my own suspicions (I'll mention everyone who I've made a mental note about that I remember as I'm typing up.): On a scale of 0-100, 0 being confirmed eliminator, 100 being confirmed villager: Wilson - 80. Soft cleared by Sart being the Forsaken Meta - 65 - Same as Wilson, but less so. Both of these two have basically agreed with each other the whole way through, so I'll talk about them together. Wilson's been remarked upon for acting slightly unusual, which I don't think she's responded to... Nevertheless, she led the crusade against Sart, which she wouldn't do as an Eliminator unless she was playing really long game. Meta also did the same thing, but he could have been bandwagoning. In addition, not knowing his playstyle, he seems unusually aggressive, and has also made arguments I don't necessarily agree with. Maybe that's me subconsciously marking him down more as an eliminator, but I'm a lot more tentative about Meta. Lopen - 55 - I didn't trust him, but he's rebutted all my points against him more than adequately (and Meta's points against him seemed like a long bow to me - see my post on Meta). Then, enough people apparently trusted him enough to make him mayor. Aman - 55 - He seems a lot more - benevelont - in this. Even before he was revealed in LG21, he was making a lot of sweeping statements. He generally seems a lot less confident in himself this game. Probably trying to work out who's who. Winter - 52/53 - Stuck to their opinion of Sart even when he was basically confirmed to be lynched. Could be IKYK'ing, but she's admitted that she looks guilty. Too hard to tell at this point. El - 50 - Didn't really say much about the actual game, more about meta stuff in general stuff, so it's hard to tell. This is due to RL commitments, so I'll check back in a couple cycles to see an update. jaimeleecee - 48 - made a lot of posts - seems to know a lot about other people and games for a new group (when I joined in LG21 I had the advantage of Shard Zero). Probably just paranoia, plus I have suspicions a lot stronger than on jaime, and I'd rather not lynch someone so new before they really get into it unless I'm sure. AliasSheep - 45 - Upon review, I don't find him too guilty. In fact, I think the people who voted for him or else suggested he was an Eliminater after me might have been trying to shift blame away from Sart. Elodin's arguments against Sheep make me think this in particular. I should probably put Sheep back at 50, but I have a thing about being wrong. Rubik - 42/43 - bandwagoned. Didn't explain much in his posts, but that's probably because he's trying to sort things out because he's new. Not particularly worried about him at the moment, though. Will look back in a couple cycles to see where he's at. Straw - 37/38 - Attempted to bandwagon. Made several accusations without comment or explanation. Confirmed lie at least once. Claimed scanner, but a scanner is technically a neutral role, or Straw could be lying to prevent being lynched. Would like to have another scanner verify. Elodin - 30 - Consistently tried to shift blame on multiple people away from Sart without much explanation. Has attempted to bandwagon. Has not sufficiently provided any counter evidence. So that's my big long post. Sorry it's so long, I had a lot of stuff I wanted to put in it. I might add something I've forgotten, as I'm sure there's at least one person who I've missed. EDIT: Silly typos.

Oh. I screwed that one up big time, didn't I? I'm going back to reread the parts of Day 1 I haven't read yet (from where about Page 8 was.) I'll put comprehensive thoughts down here once I'm done.

Actually, reviewing posts, I'll change my votes back to Sheep. Sorry for the whiplash turnarounds, but I find him suspicious. Will explain when I get back. TinyStrawMan. I think that places Sart and Sheep a tie, so someone resolve it one way or the other, please. You have three hours, I think.

Haven't read beyond Page 9 because I'm in a rush. Might or might not be able to log on before rollover. AliasSheep EDIT: ThatTinyStrawMan. Has he posted since allegations went against him? I'm looking through quickly now.

That is... I don't have words for this. I actually had a similarly themed story to say about this, but your story makes mine seem positively cheerful by comparison. I'd like to say a lot more, but the swear filter would probably see what I've written, go insane, and start a rampage over the forums... I mean, as a principle I try to see the good in people, but this sounds like the biggest [CENSORED] that ever walked the earth. In fact, isn't there a Government Commission for things like this? There is in Australia, but I don't know about California/America. I'll go searching now. -

Eh. The way I see it, my votes could really influence the result if I picked one of 3 candidates. I don't trust you, as such, but I distrust the other 2 more. Once I have more solid leads next turn (hopefully), I'll pick someone for stronger reasons than that. Also, Maill, is that orange enough for you?
-
Out of the 3 main contenders for mayor (Lopen, Meta and El), I trust Elbereth/Lomion the most. Lopen, I've already spoken about (and he's answered well, but I'd still like to hold off giving him an extra vote). Meta... I don't know his gamestyle, and he could well be village, but I'd like to get to know his gameplay a bit better and judge for myself. At this stage, without any other hunches at the moment, I'll poke AliasSheep/LLewella, as they haven't posted at all, and they're not a new player. Deathclutch, too, I'd like to hear from. (And Rubik, I'd like you to post as well, if you see this. What are you thinking?) EDIT: Realized DC hadn't posted either. EDIT II: Made the orange orange-ier.

Mistborn Trailer suggestions, help needed!
Young Bard replied to Rookie405's topic in Creator's Corner
The hardest thing to do without it seeming cheesy will be the magic. The Inquisitors and so on requires a more... epic and grand scale, and greater technical effects, while the comedic would be easier to manage. On the flip side, if you think you can pull off the first one, it could be truly awe-inspiring.
