Very nice! I almost bought a violin instead of an oud, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to learn the oud. The hammer dulcimer seems like it would be super sweet to know how to play. You should do it.

So, I just recently picked up a new instrument and it made me think, what instruments do you all play? And if none, what would you like to play? And if you wouldn't like to play anything, well I don't know why you clicked this thread. I just picked up an Oud. For those that don't know what an Oud is, here: Oud. For those that don't want to click the link, it's essentially a Middle-Eastern lute. So, I haven't really learned anything on it yet as most of the online tutorials I find are in Arabic, which I don't understand at all. I am currently trying to learn to read music so I can learn in that way. Most likely, after I get a basic knowledge of the instrument, I will just play songs I make up. So yeah, I want to know what you guys play/want to play/like to see others play/anything. Readysetdiscuss!

I've been reading LICD. I'm around the 2007s. I really like this comic. It's different than the others for sure and nothing like LFG, but the humor is great.

Is that the same Pillars of the Earth that the TV series is based on? I've never seen/read either but I've been interested. Wheel of Time is wonderful and I would definitely encourage you to continue taking my time. I got caught up a few months ago and it's killing me. Possibly very literally killing me...

So I just recently got really into a new webcomic, read through every page in the first day, and now have to wait for updates. So, let's all share our favorite webcomics! And then have friends to talk with about them! The one I just got up to date on is Looking for Group. It's insanely funny, especially for gamers. The other one I read is Schlock Mercenary. I mean, who doesn't like a webcomic-space-opera? Okay, your turn!

Hell yeah! I would really rather have one of Cale FWOOSHing either with the aid of Richard or with his reforged sword. But alas, they did not have that as an option.

Yea, it's from a series of tapes someone put together called the found films project or something. They searched for old home videos, commercials, etc. A local indie theater is featuring them.

Thanks. Good summary of info. I asked how he would tie in the Cosmere effectively with the other books for the casual reader. I would say, along with all the other answers I got, he will do it with Dragonsteel.
