  1. Mine is also Stormlight! Dude, we should be friends For Quiver, I really liked Warbreaker! It's probably my third favourite world in the Cosmere.
  2. I was checking a woman out at Wal-Mart and she said something that triggered a memory of a Sanderson book. I asked her if I was right and we had a great conversation. That's happened a couple times after that.
  3. It draws you because of the clever way they he reveals little bits of the back story! Do you have a favourite book by him? Or a favourite series?
  4. Lol, I played The narrator once! I also played the Mysterious Man in a different production.
  5. Actually, I have a block in my brain that prevents me from spelling things correctly. It's some sort of minor learning disability. It's more common than you think
  6. Don't go steeling people's questions!
  7. I know I'm a Sanderfan when I can correctly guess the people who have read a Sanderson book by the way they talk.
  8. Do not under any circumstances accept cookies from people on this forum. Ever. Welcome to the forum! Have an up vote. I hope to see you some discussions
  9. It might be a foreshadowing that Heleran was in the process of becoming a KR. Think about it.
  10. Or maybe he kept trying to create epics after that and there are more anomalies that we'll get to meet in Calamity.
  11. Some Epics demand that the people worship them.
  12. I've seen you around, yeah Welcome (officially). I gave you an up vote. I recall a time when I was desperate for hem. I figured you were the same way
  13. My reactions to the book by part. Part One: Okay, this is kind of cool. Part Two: Why am I still reading? It's dragging on soooooo long. I guess it's funny and its Sanderson, so I will keep going. Part Three: Still borin- oh, wait! This is getting good! I freaking love this right now. Parts Four and Five: I can't put it down! I tried! Oh, it's three in the morning and my batter is at three percent. Huh. Well, at least I finished. Time to check out the 17th Shard! I have some spoiler boards to check out.
  14. So, Calamity and Dawnslight are fundamental opposites? Dawnslight is the benevolent power and Calamity is the evil one? If that's the case, David's going to get some epic powers from Dawnslight.
  15. Calamity made Dawnslight an epic. Regalia didn't have anything to do with it. She says something like "I have no idea why Calamity made a kid in a coma an epic." That makes me think it wasn't her. I'm thinking the reason he was able to resist the thing is solely a fear thing. All he did was own up to his inadequacy and said that it didn't rule him. Prof is weaker than David for sure in that regard.
  16. Dude. It's so statistically impossible to find that someone who is for me. At the risk of sounding ridiculous, I don't feel like I'll ever find anyone.
  17. You are in the right place! It's not often we get someone who doesn't like Brandon Sanderson on the forum. You should have a lot things in common with a lot of the people here. I gave you an up vote because I remember being desperate for them when I first started on the forum. (Still kind of am.) Anyway, welcome to the forum! Do you have a favourite series?
  18. Good compilation, but it has been compiled in this order. I won't find the link for you because I know someone else will. Anyway, you got an up vote from me.
  19. True that, sister friend! I was legitimately grounded from it for three days one time. Some of you know this.
  20. I'm an MtG fan, but I haven't read the books. I'm just a good deck builder and card player. I win the majority of my games. I also like watching people play on YouTube. There are some funny people playing there
  21. After Alcatraz, may I suggest Mitosis? It is the transitional short story between Steelheart and Firefight.
  22. For the last time. It was in WoK, it was in WoR. That was my interview with Sanderson and it was *definitely WoR. Zas wrote it down wrong. We discussed it in another thread and we settled on it either being the people who talked about The Long Path, or it was the Parshendi.
  23. So, does Lift get a heightened sense of empathy for those around her because of hee connection to Wyndel (that's the spren, right?)? That would be awesome. What does Renarin get? A more powerful mind? And then what does Dalinar get? I bet it's more of an ability to let him lead. Maybe that's why he is seen as a force by those around him in WoR. Shallan remarks that specifically in her first meeting with him. This is a really intriguing concept. What other KR do we know of that we could try to guess what other things they gain from their spren?
  24. Welcome! We have a writing group on the forum called Reading Excuses. If that sounds like something you'd like to get involved with, message Silk. He leads us. Anyway, welcome to our corner of the internet! It's a pretty friendly community here. Have an up vote.
  25. When the witch scene in Monty Python only reminds you of Alcatraz.
