Oh. Oh, dear. That one's new. Little bit of difficulty in reading the "Gotta kill 'em all" at the bottom, so one missed point for illegibility. 9/10.

Nah, he's not in Reckoners. Neither am I. I'm just a MLP:FiM fan, and I corrupted ThirdGen with my pony-loving ways. It's....a woodcut of Benjamin Franklin either looking really excited or being held at gunpoint by a viney tree. 8/10, with bonus lemondrops for slight creepiness.

That's awful. One would think that parents would figure out that you're not faking being sick when you're sick on, y'know, a day off school. -
I imagine that there's already quite a bit of that going on that we haven't seen. Just the power vacuum from the three most powerful Twinborn lawkeepers leaving the Roughs around the same time is going to create some chaos out there.

Last night's ep is sitting on our DVR. We'll probably watch it in the next couple of days.

For chuckling malevolently. And constantly making me think, "___ or lion?" You know, sort of like, "Cake or death?" except I don't know what the first bit is.

Every year, the coolness of fall approaches. Every year, Halloween comes. And (almost) every year, my friends embark upon a post-Halloween tradition... Pumpkin Katana Baseball! This is exactly what you think it is, minus any actual baserunning or scored points. We just mostly use it as an excuse to swing swords, spears, crowbars, pickaxes, and even 2x4s at our spent jack-o-lanterns in order to chop them into mulch. It's fantastically fun. (Kids join in with wooden swords and the like, but are generally not allowed near the edged weaponry.) The tradition holds a special place in my heart, as Pumpkin-Katana Baseball 2008 was my first date with the man who became my husband. So, yeah. James's first day with me involved swinging swords at flying pumpkins whilst I was wearing a fantastic corset. It was awesome. I took some pictures this year, and now I shall share them with you. Behold! The condemned line up to await their doom! My weapon protrudes triumphantly from my first victim! James a split second after bisecting a pumpkin. Between the angle and the blur, it's kind of hard to see the blade, but it's there. The bloody aftermath!

The copy I had of it from the PBS broadcast had an awful sound mix, too. Hopefully the official release is a bit easier to hear.

No, Brandon's pretty much outright said that Kel is still hanging around...somewhere. From the looks of things, probably offworld wreaking havoc in some other Shard's territory. ...which is why I'm still not convinced that he didn't have a hand in what happened with Bleeder.

I wouldn't blame the poor kid too much. She's just doing what your mother conditioned her to do. All you can do is hope that she holds together enough to be able to start deprogramming herself when she hits college, like you did. -
I never played any of them. Oh, fine, I'll give you guys the goods. Classic Doctor Who episode called "Ghost Light". They're sitting down to dinner with a bunch of creepy aliens. The Seventh Doctor specifically says firmly to Ace, "Don't eat the soup!" Because it totally is primordial soup created from broken-down human.

I write things. I...I'm not actually sure whether they're really good or not. They're not bad, at least. I suppose I'll get a better idea once I've finished the second draft of my Mistborn fanfic and sent it off to the beta readers.

You're both on the right track, but it's actually a direct quote from something. Problem is, I'm not sure if there are enough people around here familiar enough with the old-school portion of that fandom to get it. I'm pretty sure that there's already a name for that. It's called an "oboe".

On the second issue, but not the first. Him fixing the first issue cause the second one. I intuited which part of what he'd done when trying to fix the first one caused the second break, but he wasn't listening to me when I told him. In retrospect, I think all that really needed to be done to fix the first issue was clear the Java cache - it was those plugins he activated that broke my other program. Bonus points: me figuring this out also allowed me to fix what turned out to be the same issue (regarding the second one) for one of my teammates. He's had a ticket open with IT on this since Wednesday of last week. And I fixed it. Not the IT guy. Me. I am the queen of fixing! Oh, dangit, man. I am so sorry. -
So that press release that I snuck out to the Elendel Daily about the mini-spike brownie bites....that was bad?

Oh, the joys of dealing with IT (with emoticons!). So, this morning, access to an internal site on my computer broke. It baffled me. So I do the IT chat thing. Dude comes on and ports into my computer and proceeds to start puttering around with my internet settings. Some of the things that he did were things that I recognized as possibly bad, but let it slide because hey, he's IT, right? He should know what he's doing. Well, you can see where this is going. So, he fixes the first thing, but another critical application now won't launch. I tell him, "Um, hey, I think X thing you did might've caused this." Him: "No, no, I enabled that plug-in!" Me: "And I think that was wrong...." Him: *doing more things, including enabling something else that I KNOW breaks things* Me: "Um, I don't think you should do that thing..." Him: *ignores me* Me: *tries to type again, gets shut down as he continues to control the mouse* *makes inarticulate arglebargle sounds at the computer* Him: *after 20 minutes of piddling around and not listening to me* "OK, I'm gonna open a ticket." Me: "Whatever, dude." The instant he ports back out of my computer, I proceed to go and disable the things he enabled and restart my computer. Lo and behold, everything works again. I do a victory dance and send him an e-mail telling him not to open the ticket. Five minutes later, he opens the ticket. *sigh* So I IM him, which goes something like this: Me: "Dude, I fixed it." Him: "Cool! How?!" Me: "By doing X and Y." I nobly refrain from phrasing it, "By doing the exact gorram thing that I told you to do when you were in here." -
The two "what"s I believe are correct, albeit slang of questionable grammar. One of the joys of getting a peek into Wayne's brain.

Yep, I'm over Durkula. Come on, Belkar! Is now your time to go out in a blaze of shoeless glory? We will; Rich has said as much. He has plans for exactly what the Monster in the Darkness is and does, but I expect we won't see it until the end of Book 7. So it's gonna be a few more years.
