Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It's interesting to me that despite two people getting hit and Maill previously having far more suspicion around him you only suggest me. Wouldn't it have been more natural to suggest that one of the hits could've been a WGG? Rather than specifying which hit? See, now I'm thinking that Maill must be the WGG and you know it so you're covering for him by attempting to place suspicion on me. There's clearly something going on here, since it took over a day for someone to suggest in the thread that Kipper's attack was a WGG. But less than 30 minutes for this. What's so different about this attack?- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
A helpful role died, yes, but Joe made a decision about LO's that they follow their operator's last orders. We lost the Operator but we didn't lose the Lifeless. I know exactly where that Lifeless is because Alvom told me. I'd been worried he'd told me to get me to suspect him less, since I had reasons to believe he was an OC. And I would've voted. I actually had my secret vote on him, but I forgot to invest so....that kind of failed. Point is, I'm sorry Alvom died. I feel bad about that. But I'm figuring out about some people more because of it, and that's helpful. And yes, I did ask both Kipper and Maill to vote for Alvom. At least in Kipper's case, that was because the other option was someone I really didn't think was an OC, and I didn't want to lynch someone who would net us practically no information when we could lynch someone who could net us some information and I did have reasons to suspect, even if those were clearly wrong.- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
.....Cultivation is a flake, clearly. Honestly, I needed to ask Maill something, and while I'm still uncertain about his alignment I suspect he's good, especially since he will die tomorrow if he just lied to me about something. And I've told multiple people what he said so if.....something....happens at the rollover, Maill is a dead man, even if I'm not alive to make sure that happens.- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard

I will be abstaining from voting because I'm not in a position to cast a proper vote right now. With the vote as close as it is, I think it's important for votes to have a purpose and reasons, and I can barely think, let alone analyze and type up an in-depth post right now. I've got a tension headache that's been bothering me for the last 5 hours. I've never had a tension headache before and I can honestly say I never want one again. I'm inclined to sleep this thing off, even though it's not even 9 PM yet, so....yeah. That's what I'm about to do. I'll have more to say in the morning. Good luck and I apologize.- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard

It's also worth noting that the person Endowment gave Ruin to can only use the investment ability, which is the roleblock and not the kill. Endowment is the only Shard able to use the Shardic ability once the Shard dies (and isn't Shattered).- 1225 replies

Wilkin understands this, but he's not responsible for Aili's death, and he rather wishes Maw would target those who are responsible. Beyond that, even if Wilkin were responsible for Aili's death, Aili was responsible for Wil'son's death, and she died first, so that kind of takes precedence.- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Since a number of you already know my role and Maill has just outed me, I may as well confirm that I am indeed Cultivation. However, I'm not the tyrant Maill is trying to make me out to be. After learning that Maill wanted me dead and was using Phatt to achieve this, I believed that he was an OC who was trying to draw fire so he could die in a spectacular way that would take Cultivation down with him. On top of this, I was incredibly irritated with him, since I'd given him PMs with every player in the game and he responds by saying that he wants to kill me because he wants discussion to go to the world PMs and the thread. He even has the gall to throw Winter's dying wish in my face, saying that she'd asked him to get rid of any Coalition. I doubt she asked him this, since he'd threatened to kill her with poison. Even if she did, her dying wish to me was for me to trust him, and this is what I get for that trust. So, yes, I cut off his PMs. I'd do it again in an instant. Maill's insistence that this is a Coalition is particularly amusing since a Coalition needs to be able to trust each other completely and he knows well that we do not. He and Kipper talked a great deal about how clever it would be for me to be pulling a long con. And at one point, I told him that I felt like Kipper was an OC and the reason Orlok died--not because the OC's thought he was Cultivation but because they knew he was Devotion. Maill knew that we didn't trust each other. He still knows this. Yet he keeps insisting that it's a Coalition. He also keeps saying that we're keeping information to ourselves. This is another lie. While we may be somewhat of a hub of information, we're not the end of the information. I can name a number of players who know exactly who Hoid is outside of Kipper, Seonid, and I. These people needed to know his identity because they are Shards who needed to invest in him. On top of that, there were quite a number of people who knew my role. Orlok, Kipper, Seonid, Macen, Stink, Alvron, Maill Eol, Quiver, Lopen, Shallan, Phattemer, and Dow. 13 people. Out of 27 players, that not exactly a small number. It's roughly half the players in the game. Not what you'd expect from someone who's keeping information, right? To me, this makes sense, since I've always had an open information policy. Those who need information will get it. If something is necessary for all players to know, I've got no problems sharing information with the thread. That information sharing with the thread does not extend to spiteful role-reveals. Maill holds a great deal of information. Some of it is true. Some of it is false, thanks to misinformation spreading via Seonid and Kipper (Maill was the main target of their misinformation and they used me and my open information policy to spread the misinformation to Maill even more). Most of Maill's information, however, has been gained through threatening players, though he claims he wasn't threatening them. Personally, I think telling some that you've poisoned them and they may as well give you their information because they're dead already even though you haven't poisoned them is a threat. But maybe that's just me. It's definitely deceitful. Ultimately, Maill wanted discussion to be reduced to world PMs and the thread. I gave him what he wanted. I warned him what I was doing, and he said "Great." He didn't try to stop me, but he did eventually admit that he was now convinced I was good, since I don't get as defensive as I was getting with him when I'm not. Yet even with that admission, he came to thread and outed me. What does it benefit the village by outing a good Cultivation to the thread? What purpose does it have? What good does it do? Absolutely none. It is not a help to the village in even the remotest sense. I've no idea why he did, but I do know that he just lost any chance of getting PMs back because he showed he has no self-control. And yes, I was going to give him PMs back. Not all of them. I was going to reopen mine 12 hours later, and then I was going to let him choose a few other PMs to reopen. No more. And now, moving past this, I notice there are some questions about Hoid. Let me give my own thoughts on this. On the off-chance that Survival invests in Hoid, I believe the game would have to be rather unbalanced for Hoid to choose to join the OC's. I'm saying this based on who is Hoid and the level of loyalty that I see from them as a person and a player. If they were to go neutral, I'm pretty sure they'd realign themselves with TG rather than Odium. The only situation they would not is if the OC's were the extreme underdog like in LG10. This is simply the read I get from this player. I do not believe they will pull a Gamma just for kicks and giggles. It's not their MO, not from what I've seen.- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I want to make a general statement right now regarding Coalitions. The first iteration of this game had a Coalition of Shards and Hoid that could all trust each other. They called the shots for everyone in that game, threatening anyone who crossed the line and tried to go against the Coalition. This made the game incredibly unfun for all playing except for the few Shards who were really in charge and Hoid. Many ended that game with bitter feelings towards Coalitions. This is completely and entirely legitimate. Coalitions like that ruin games. Fact. There is a difference between a Coalition like the one in LG10 and a couple people who do not know that they can trust each other completely deciding to trust each temporarily for the sake of the village. Almost every single game ever run on this forum has had some type of leadership position. Peng in LG2. Gamma and Meta in LG3. Aonar and Maill in LG4. Meta, Macen, and Wyrm in LG5. Me, Wes, Jerric, Aonar, and a few others in LG6 (working more as a combined team than anything else). The list goes on. For more recent examples, there's Meta in LG12, Wyrm in QF9, and Clanky in MR8 right now. The point is that in almost every game, there are leaders. This does not make them a Coalition. A Coalition does not form until there is a large group that can trust each other implicitly and they command everyone to follow suit or die. They abuse their position of leadership. In this iteration of this game, Joe made it so that even Hoid cannot be trusted fully since Survival can change his alignment. Add to that that the only Shard that is good is Endowment, and the very likely possibility that there is a second Shard as an OC, and there's literally no way for anyone to trust another completely. This game is much more like a regular game. If there are a couple people trying to figure things out, that doesn't make them a Coalition. That makes them a couple people who do not trust each other fully who are trying to figure things out. That's all. I understand that Winter was very upset after LG10 and she swore that she would never let another Coalition happen. I support her in that goal. I hate Coalitions. But if you're going to try to remove one, at least get the definition right and figure out if it's actually a Coalition or just the normal growth of a normal game. If you kill the wrong one, you could end up screwing the game over for your side, and while you might think that you're doing it to help make things more fun, it won't be fun if what you're doing imbalances the game in the direction of the opposite team. The first iteration of this game was one of the most broken games. This iteration is not. Let's not make it so just to prevent things that happened last time.- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Due to the votes on Phatt, I feel it would be wise to let you all know something: Phatt is a poisoner who has poisoned me. I'm fine if he's lynched, but it would be a great thing if a Lifeless Operator would put a Lifeless on me to protect me so I don't die. The poison will not be able to get around any protection on me. I've been informed that he has a Skeletal on him as well, but as I'm not sure if the Skeletal works during the day or not, it's best if we have a backup. Thanks in advance!- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was going to let my vote stay on Alvron until the rollover, not because I think he's still suspicious (which I no longer think. He's sufficiently explained himself in a PM), but to see what would happen with the vote. But since the vote is incredibly close between PK and Kipper, and I don't really think Kipper is evil, I'm going to have to vote for PK.- 1225 replies

Heirs to the Final Empire: Roleplaying Thread
little wilson replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Inactive RPs
So I probed a little more into Farrsolin's request for a neutral party. Zerrung got a response and gave it to me. Here's the relevant piece from it: Emphasis mine Farrsolin's quest to find a neutral party is to obtain punishment, but we were not gathered to deliver punishment. We are here to discuss, attack, and defend each other to decide guilt or innocence. To quote Wyrm: Attempting to find a neutral party from within the ranks of the Noble Houses only seeks to distract us from what we should be doing. Let's put this behind us and refocus on the task at hand: that of discussing the guilt or innocence of Farrsolin, Orielle, Zerrung, and the recent additions of Erikell and Vinid.- 868 replies

"Lord Farrsolin, while I appreciate you saying I'm a neutral party, let me assure you that I am anything but. It's true that I've had no dealings with Houses Vinid, Erikell, or Farrsolin, but those are not the only parties involved in this matter. There is also the wronged party, and that is Tekiel. Your three Houses have used him in a way to suit your needs, caring naught one whit for him or his House but only your own selfish wants and needs. "If you would like a neutral party to the Final Empire's laws, might I recommend our High Prelan, Lord Benedict? Who better to provide an unbiased recitation than the one who makes sure the laws are followed strictly?"- 868 replies

Heirs to the Final Empire: Roleplaying Thread
little wilson replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Inactive RPs
Lord Tekiel sat down and a number of his men began distributing the messages. Gwynne had already looked over all this. Tekiel had fumed to her about it shortly after he’d received those messages. For her part, she’d been surprised and shocked too. And after hearing Cladent’s claims, she was even more shocked. She was glad she’d recommended Tekiel bring copies of the messages. She’d hoped it wouldn’t be necessary, but one could never be too prepared. Gwynne stood and addressed the courtroom. “First, I want to clear up this matter about Lord Farrsolin’s charges against Lord Tekiel. The first two charges, Attempting to Incite a Civil War and Murder, should be thrown out as not only were they not committed by Lord Nestor Tekiel but his father, but they were also already dealt with by The Lord Ruler. Are we to now say that the Lord Ruler’s punishment is not good enough? For the second charge, that of Market Schemes, this was also something Lord Tekiel’s father did, but I suppose if you want to make the charge upon House Tekiel, it might have merit. However, Lord Tekiel has explained what happened with the pyramid scheme. He was unaware that it would affect any of the Great Houses like it did, thinking that he would gain the money from minor Houses. He has apologized on behalf of his House for this error. “If his apology is not enough for you, and you wish to charge him with something, the most his House is truly guilty of is Negligence. However, if you wish to charge him on that, you’ll be setting an interesting precedent for the future, since most of the Houses here are guilty of Negligence in some form or another, including yours, Lord Farrsolin. Was it not your grandfather that burned the countryside around Seran, not realizing the impact on skaa relations it would have for your House? Charging Tekiel with Negligence would mean that every House from this point on would have to thoroughly think through every move you want to make, considering all the possible implications and effects it could have on the Final Empire as a whole. Tell me, Lord Farrsolin, are you sure want to criminalize negligence?” Without waiting for a response, Gwynne turned away from Farrsolin to address the courtroom as a whole. “But to move on to the more important matters. I think we can all agree that Houses Vinid and Erikell have been working together through all of this, whatever this may be. Vinid says that Erikell was acting under his guidance, and as you can see in the missives Lord Tekiel has just distributed, Erikell also agrees that he speaks for House Vinid. Lord Vinid says that he directed Lord Erikell to go along with the plot in order to gain information, their involvement was never going to result in an attack, and they were always trying to bring Farrsolin to justice. However, Erikell’s messages to Tekiel indicate otherwise. “Erikell warned Tekiel about the plot early on, and Tekiel and Erikell worked out a payment for Erikell’s information. Lord Tekiel has informed me that this payment was simply a cancellation of reparations owed for Erikell’s attack on Keep Tekiel years ago. Now, this request for payment by Lord Erikell didn’t seem odd at the time. However, Lord Vinid says that Erikell was working on his behalf, under his instructions. Cladent Vinid is the General of the Lord Ruler’s Army. Putting down rebellions is part of the General’s duties. If word of a conspiracy to oust the Lord Ruler’s chosen steward of one of his cities finds its way to the General, it is for the General to do his job on behalf of the Lord Ruler. The Lord Ruler would not request the Steward pay him for protecting the Empire. It is therefore not within the rights of the General or the General’s chosen delegate to request payment either. If this was just about catching Farrsolin red-handed, Tekiel owes Erikell and Vinid absolutely nothing. Vinid and, by extension, Erikell were both simply doing the job required of them. For them to request payment is for them to say that this was about something other than catching Farrsolin. Yet now they claim that’s all this was. Why would they need money for doing their job? “Erikell demands Tekiel pay him for stopping the attack on Fadrex. He “expects” wealth and allomancers from Tekiel. Again, if this were just about catching Farrsolin, there would be no need for Tekiel to pay up. Furthermore, Erikell’s demand is worded in such a way that indicates this decision to stop the attack is very recent. He says “I have decided to be on your side.” “Your city would have been entirely destroyed (no way out) had I chosen otherwise.” He even argues that Tekiel is trying to make him “reconsider” his choice. If this were always about getting Farrsolin, they would be so deeply entrenched in their mission that there would be no reason to reconsider anything. There would also be no reason to mention sides because they would’ve never been on a different side. Essentially, Erikell as much as says that he was going to go through with the plot. He says and indicates numerous times that he was not always on Tekiel’s side. The only other side in this debacle is Farrsolin’s. If they were not on Tekiel’s side, they were working with Farrsolin. “This is backed up by the very specific amount of military power that would’ve come at Fadrex City. 160+ troops. There is no way Farrsolin and Orielle alone would be able to muster that kind of force. Even throwing Zerrung into the mix wouldn’t be enough, and Lord Vinid knows that none of the Zerrung troops were involved. The only way they’d be able to get a force that size is with Vinid’s involvement, since Vinid controls not only the House Vinid troops but also TLR’s. I’ve no doubt that Erikell’s troops were also in this mix, and both Lords Orielle and Zerrung can back me up on that since Erikell also surrounded their Keeps. Between Farrsolin, Orielle, Vinid, and Erikell, that’s definitely enough to acquire 160+ troops. I would like to further note that Erikell’s statement was no hypothetical, “Yes, they thought they were going to hit Fadrex with 160+ troops, but since Vinid and I weren’t actually going to help them, their true force was significantly smaller.” No, this was “Fadrex would’ve been hit with 160+ troops.” They were going to attack the city. “Basically, Vinid’s statements do not align with anything that Lord Erikell said to Lord Tekiel. There is nothing in his demands to Tekiel that indicate that they were always trying to bring Farrsolin down, which is what Vinid insists is the case. Cladent says that Erikell was always only a mole in Farrsolin’s group, but Erikell’s actions do not back this up. A mole would have no reason to try to extort the would-be victim. A mole would have no reason to insult the would-be victim by calling them a “fool” when they try to stick up for themselves. Erikell’s behavior is not that of a mole. His behavior is that of someone who has recently changed sides and is now trying to get all he can out of the would-be victim. Since Vinid and Erikell are a team, one can only assume that Cladent Vinid supported Lord Erikell in this matter. “Lord Farrsolin’s testimony adds a further complication to this mess, as he is admitting that he was simply trying to manipulate Vinid and Erikell into attempting to destroy House Tekiel on their own, with his encouragement. According to Farrsolin, he was going to back Tekiel up, but Tekiel received no warning from Farrsolin, nor any show of support from Farrsolin. On the contrary, Farrsolin went to great lengths to contact various Houses to either secure their support in the destruction of Tekiel or their neutrality in the potential ensuing House War. Lord Artorius can verify that, as he swore neutrality. Lord Elariel might also be willing to verify that claim, as Farrsolin claimed at one point to have secured Elariel’s neutrality as well.” “However, this isn’t about Farrsolin. I think we all know he’s guilty of something, whether that be Conspiracy to Commit Treason or some other charge. What I’m concerned about is Vinid and Erikell. I believe that when Lord Farrsolin contacted them, they jumped at the opportunity presented. They then contacted Lord Tekiel to “warn” him about the attack, hoping that Tekiel would trust them enough to ask them to defend his city from his attackers. But they had no intention of actually defending the city, which is made abundantly clear in Lord Vinid’s message to Lord Zerrung about “pulling a ninja move” and attacking Fadrex City with the attacking force. He even would’ve used Tekiel’s own army against him if he’d given him access to it. So why did they turn on the plot? It’s likely because he realized that TLR would be severely displeased with his General if that General used TLR’s own troops to attack one of the Lord Ruler’s cities. “In fact, The Lord Ruler might’ve been displeased enough to lay waste to the entire Vinid House, utterly destroying that House (I have confirmation from Wyrm that this would’ve been the case, along with confirmation that koloss would’ve intervened on the attack and killed a great number of the opposing army. Fadrex City was never in any real danger from the opposing force, with or without Vinid/Erikell’s involvement). The Lord Ruler dislikes traitors, and I believe that the two switched sides to spare House Vinid and House Erikell from the wrath of the Lord Ruler. They then turned on House Farrsolin and all other Houses Farrsolin had named as allies, regardless of whether or not those Houses had actually offered any real support to him. “While Lord Farrsolin may be guilty of conspiring against The Final Empire and against another Noble House, Lords Vinid and Erikell are equally guilty, despite their claims otherwise. They are traitors to the Final Empire and to the Lord Ruler, and the only reason they’re not on trial as well is because they are cowards of the highest order. “I move that we acquit Lords Zerrung and Orielle of the charges laid against them. I also move that we charge Lords Vinid and Erikell with Extortion and Conspiracy to Commit Treason. Lord Vinid should have an additional charge of Perjury.” Gwynne finished and sat calmly back in her seat, staring into the eyes of Cladent Vinid. She knew the man would contest her, but she didn’t care. She spoke the truth, and that was all that mattered. Even if Vinid and Erikell bribed or bullied their way into the conviction they sought, that wouldn’t change the truth. The Final Empire and the Noble Houses wouldn’t be safe until Houses Vinid and Erikell were punished according to their crimes. Gwynne knew that their antics wouldn’t end in this courtroom if they got what they were looking for. No, this would only be the beginning of their tyranny. Lord Erikell had already tried once to invoke the name of the Lord Ruler to give his words and actions additional power. If he’d done it once, he’d do it again, and who knew which House would be next? Gwynne wouldn’t let her House stand idly aside while someone used the Lord Ruler’s name, laws, and forces against His own Empire. His appointed General may be a traitor, but so long as Gwynne led House Wilson--and she hoped her daughter would follow suit--they were loyal to the Lord Ruler and the Steel Ministry, and they would oppose any who dared act against Him. tl;dr version -- Farrsolin’s charges against Tekiel are a farce. All three of them were completed in the previous generation, and I believe the Statute of Limitations should only extend to the current generation. Beyond that, TLR already punished Tekiel for the marching through Luthadel. The Pyramid Scheme was the result of poor planning on Tekiel’s part, who didn’t realize that he’d gain wealth by making every House lose wealth. He did not discuss this action enough with Wyrm to realize its effects. The most he is guilty of is Negligence, and I highly doubt we want to criminalize that, since the vast majority of us would end up guilty of it at least once in future generations. Erikell admitted he wasn’t always on Tekiel’s side. He tried to extort wealth and allomancers out of Tekiel for payment for protecting Fadrex City and House Tekiel, despite protecting a city of the Empire being the General’s duty (without payment) and House Erikell working under Vinid’s direction. The force attacking Fadrex was 160+ MP, which is far too strong for Farrsolin and Orielle alone, so Vinid and Erikell had to’ve been part of the attack. Vinid and Erikell were only surrounding Fadrex so they could turn on the city and attack it. They were not protecting it. They changed sides when they learned that the attacking Houses would be crushed by TLR and Vinid would be utterly destroyed for completely going against their duties as General. They betrayed Farrsolin and are now trying Farrsolin and the Houses he stated were his allies, even though those other Houses weren’t actually involved in any attack (Orielle’s troops were under the control of Farrsolin and Zerrung didn’t give a single MP to Vinid). Farrsolin is guilty of conspiracy to commit treason (or a similar charge), but Houses Orielle and Zerrung are not (nor is House Artorius, who remained neutral throughout this entire affair). Houses Vinid and Erikell are also guilty of conspiracy to commit treason as well as extortion and perjury.- 868 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This is always a possibility, but unless the Awakener used their ability during the Day and targeted Orlok over a player like me, Kipper, Maill, Alvron, or someone else who was actually active in the thread (which Orlok was not), I don't see it as likely. And if they used their ability at night, they wouldn't have gotten the result until the end of the night, so they wouldn't have known to have Odium kill him. No, Odium targeted Orlok specifically because they had reason to believe he was a Shard, and not just any Shard, but a Shard they wanted removed from the game asap. The tags are because Joe doesn't want to take sides in the feud between Maill and I (even though he's taking the correct side with his member title ), and Alvron suggested a tag that was "lynch the footnote" knowing that Joe would not realize that I am the footnote in reference (though I maintain that I am no footnote). Joe, suitably irritated, has now banned Alv from further tag suggestions, as is only appropriate. I really hope that Endowment is in contact with people he can trust, because blindly giving out Ruin could result in giving Ruin to an OC, and that would turn this already unpleasant situation into a downright disaster. Off topic, but has anyone heard about this new MC Hammer guy?- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It started at first from a comment Orlok made in a Mass PM about thinking that he knew Cultivation's identity. Some people took that to mean that he was Cultivation. The rumor continued due to a misread of the rules that got some people thinking that Cultivation had to be in every PM except those with 3 people. I first learned about this when I got accused of being Cultivation after Eol requested that PM with me. After that, Cultivation set Orlok up in a PM with Alvron, per Orlok's request, and then we started hearing back through the lines that Alvron was now convinced that Orlok was Cultivation. Obviously, this was less than ideal, so we started spreading other rumors, some false and some true, to take the heat off of him. This clearly did not work. I have a suspicion as to why, and if I find it has merit, I'll share it. I'm working with Cultivation and two others trying to figure out who exactly beyond Alv thought that Orlok was Cultivation, but I know that he was the biggest proponent, even if that was back during Day 1.- 1225 replies

Long Game 14: To Shatter a Shard
little wilson replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
There were very, very few people who knew Orlok's real role. Of those people, only one is less trustworthy than the others, but that one person claimed to be a Normal Worldhopper, and Orlok was going to invest in that person this coming cycle. This person knew that, so I see no reason why they would've arranged for Devotion's death if they were about to gain a minor role, unless they were lying about their role. I kind of doubt that was the case. Especially since there is a far more plausible explanation. If the OC's didn't know Orlok's real role, they must've suspected he was a Shard, since Odium went after him. If not Devotion, who? There were a number of rumors circulating at various points during the first cycle. Among those was that Orlok was Cultivation. This seemed to have died down by the end of the cycle, but I'm starting to think it didn't actually. I think the OC's still thought that Orlok was Cultivation, so they killed him. My highest suspect on the list of people who were convinced at one point that Orlok was Cultivation is Alvron. To the Bloodsealer who killed Winter: If you are villager, tell someone you trust that you are responsible. If you are an OC....well. If the Bloodsealer who killed Winter is an OC, that also reflects back to Alv, since he was in a PM with Winter. I'm checking with the third person in that PM to see if she said anything at all that might've indicated she had a kill role. I kind of doubt she did, but if she did, it condemns Alv even more. If she didn't, there are a number of other people who could've done it, one of whom is just under Alv in terms of suspects, but I'll keep their identity hidden until I have a better idea of what happened.- 1225 replies

I'm betting right now it's just Eol. Joe hasn't been on for 3 hours, and all the other requests have been asked in those three hours. Oh, I don't think he's Hoid either. That suggestion was to appease anyone who might be worried that he is Hoid. It's better if we control how much protection he gets (if he gets any) than him getting all the protection.- 1225 replies

Okay. So first, since Alvron has shown that he's not above emotional manipulation and I'm apparently a flake, Alvron. There. Now stop blaming me for your inability to get some sleep. Now, onto more important matters. Since Phattemer has made some statements indicating that he is Hoid (though he has denied having this role), I'm more than a little worried that all of the village protective abilities are going to target him, worried that he actually is Hoid. While it is important that we keep Hoid alive, it's also possible that Phatt is an eliminator who is attempting a very risky gambit in which he tries to get all the village protection roles targeting him so the OCs have free reign and can kill whomever they please. This would be incredibly not ideal. May I suggest that Preservation target Hoid and only Preservation. The reason for this is because if he is Hoid, this will grant him an additional life for the rest of the game. If he is an eliminator, this will only grant him a life for the rest of the cycle. If he is a normal Worldhopper, also no harm done. The point is, we keep him alive until we have a better idea of what to do with him (hopefully an Awakener will target him tonight to see what investiture level he is). This will open things up for other protective abilities to target other people, particularly those who have a habit of dying near the beginning of the game. I understand that this sounds very self-serving as I've acquired a nasty habit of dying in the first 1-3 cycles of games (or at least having an attempt on my life in one of those first cycles). I'd rather prefer to last a little longer in this game. It's been a while since I've lived past the 3rd cycle. For this reason, I'd like to ask Honour to use their Shardic ability on me. I know, that's asking a lot. I'm asking you to trust that I am not an OC. I normally would never make this kind of a request, but given my propensity to die, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and doing it. And because there's a chance that Honour could be an OC, I wouldn't complain if a Lifeless Operator targeted me either. Or you can target Phatt. Doubling up isn't a bad idea anyway since Dominion could be an OC even if Honour/Preservation is not, and if that's the case, they can change the actions they want and still get the kill they desire. If anyone has any comments, ideas, or further suggestions to this plan, the floor is open.- 1225 replies

Well, if we're all requesting here, I'll jump in too. It would please me greatly to get a PM between me and Winter. ....Or, Eol, did you mean asking Cultivation with the word please? Oh, fine, I'll ask seriously. If Cultivation is a troll, she'd probably ignore my jest out of spite. Cultivation, would you be so kind as to arrange a PM between myself and Winter, please? You're the best.- 1225 replies
