    This is indeed against the rules. Editing to green out a vote is fine. Removing the vote entirely and pretending like you didn't vote at all is not.

    If it's the same as it was in LG5 (which I'm nearly certain it is), it's just a bonus. It doesn't actually affect whether they win the game or not. I'll put a vote on Hellscythe right now, mostly just to get him to check in and say something. I still need to read through the rules closer, since I haven't had a whole lot of time to do so, but I plan on playing this game more casually than I have the last few games I've played. I don't particularly want to stress myself out, so if you're expecting Bloodthirsty Wilson, you're going to be disappointed. Sorry. That said, obviously I'll be participating and helping as much as I can. I'm busy for the rest of today, but I'll have time to look things over tomorrow and post more of my thoughts before the day turn is over.

    Kenara sat at her desk, sifting through the papers displayed in front of her. On it was everyone who’d been in at Dalinar’s banquet that first night--the night that ultimately led to Katara’s death. Whoever had taken her hand would be here, somewhere. They had to be. And she would find them. A rustle sounded through the tent as the flap was thrown open and a man waltzed in. He hesitated just inside, seeing her. “Brightlady Kenara?” She narrowed her eyes. Most of the people in the camps avoided her, and she was fine with that. She wasn’t here to mingle. She was here to find out what happened to her daughter. That was all. But apparently this man hadn’t gotten that message. Somehow. “What?” she said abruptly, just wanting him to have out with whatever he was here to say. She had business to take care of and he was a distraction. He took a deep breath. “Kaddar sends his regards.” She froze. “What?” That was a name she hadn’t heard in a while. It was a name she’d hoped she’d never hear again. So the Wit was still alive, was he? She wondered for a quick second if maybe he’d had something to do with Katara’s hand. She’d like to bleed him dry. Oh, yes she would. After all the mental agony he’d put her through before, accusing her of being a traitor to the Blackthorn, when she’d been as loyal an Officer as it was possible to be. And what had she gotten for it? A Shardblade through her spine. And the worst thing was that no one had even cared that she’d been loyal, and then she’d just been so brutally murdered. No one but her daughter. Her daughter who was now dead. The man’s hand twitched, and the movement shook Kenara from her thoughts. And then the man spoke again. “I understand that you have a….cursed and possibly possessed...communications device--a spanreed. I understand that you have an immensely evil spanreed. I am to wish you a happy birthday and to attempt to exorcise it. I’m Kasim, a witch doctor of...well, you wouldn’t know where I come from.” Kenara stared at him. A spanreed? She had many spanreeds, but none of them were evil. A spanreed couldn’t be evil. Or possessed. And her birthday? The day of her birth? She wasn’t even sure when that was. What kind of culture tracks that information? Who cares to celebrate a day a person began to exist? The man had to be making some sort of a joke. Exorcism? A witch doctor? She knew what a witch was, and she knew well to steer clear of them. Even if the man wasn’t making some sort of joke, he clearly had her mistaken with someone else, and if he was truly a witch, she needed him gone. She’d heard enough about the Nightwitch--well, Nightwatcher, but it was all the same thing in the end, no matter the fancy name the old witch gave herself--and wanted no part of it. Wait. Witch doctor. Evil spanreed…..Kaddar. This was him. It had to be. She wouldn’t give him the pleasure of reacting by throwing the man out. “Ah, yes. I think you mean this spanreed,” she said, drawing out one from her drawer, passing it to Kasim. “It has a habit of writing words I don’t mean to say. I’ll appreciate it very greatly if you can rid it of it’s odd sentience.” He nodded and she sat back down, studying her papers again. Let’s see… Kaddar, Kaddar. Did you attend the banquet? ---- Hours later, Kasim was gone, and the “evil” spanreed was sitting safely in her drawer again. She wasn’t any closer to solving the mystery, though she had a nice list of everyone who’d been in attendance, rather than spread out like they had been. Brightlord Wannan, Brightlady Nivina Odict, Bortholomew the Blind, Sheon Idris, Seavul Karlon, Merliee Kavdar, Draela Heb, Vin Elendel, Badhab Eony, Em-son-of-none, Orlok, Resha, Mace, Arilir, Cleo, Kipper, Seixa, Caesarae, Leyton, Norlav, Klanal, Efrihm, Mallan, Eradin, Owain, Mortago, and Patch. And Katara. “Nivina killed her.” Kenara jumped at the voice, flipping around. She hadn’t heard anyone come in. But there was another woman in the tent, hip resting on the edge of the desk, looking down at the papers just like Kenara herself had been just now. “Who are you and why are you here?” The other woman looked up. “You don’t recognize me?” “No. Should I?” She pursed her lips. “I was the messenger who spread your last words throughout Dalinar’s camp. Wilson. I’m here because I know who has your daughter’s hand.” She pointed to a name on the list. Kenara looked at the name. Norlav. She glanced up. “That can’t be right. I knew him. He wouldn’t have done that.” Wilson smirked. “Wouldn’t he? You knew him when he was a surgeon, did you not? He clearly has the skills and experience to saw a hand off. Given the right motivation--which he had--there’s nothing stopping him from doing so.” Kenara stared at his name again. That heterochromatic chull. “Why are you telling me this? What’s in it for you?” “I’m telling you because it’s the truth and because he’s part of a group that is messing with things better left untouched. As for what’s in it for me. That’s my own business.” Kenara’s eyes narrowed, but before she could speak, the tentflap opened and a man she didn’t recognize entered. He was bare-chested with metal arm-bands ringing his arms. She’d never seen anyone like him before, and she couldn’t stop staring. The man glanced her way and then turned to Wilson. “My lady,” he spoke, inclining his head toward Wilson. “I found where they were keeping him and brought him back with me. He’s outside.” Wilson stood abruptly. “He’s here?” Kenara peeled her eyes away from the man to study Wilson. That tone was filled with emotion, and as she looked at the woman’s face, she saw half-a-dozen more emotions flit across it in mere seconds. Excitement, eagerness, worry, sorrow, fear, anticipation. Love. Who are they talking about? She wondered. Clearly someone vitally important to Wilson, but why? And why were they here? ….unless. Maybe this had to do with that group. And Norlav. Norlav. She looked away from Wilson to stare down at that name. He would pay. She wouldn’t stop until she’d bled him dry and taken that hand back from him. She only vaguely heard Wilson say “Show him in,” and the tentflap opening again. Thanks Kas and Alv. Also, Alv, I ended it there since I'm not sure how willing Edaan is right now to be there, so I'll leave that up to you. Assuming, of course, that you want to continue this into the game. I'm fine either way.

    I was just calling Maill out on the hypocrisy of saying that Joe isn't actually American when Maill also doesn't abide by all the American spellings. I never said that I adhered to the idea that you have to spell things the American way to be a true American. Because I don't. Guess what? I sometimes spell specialize as specialise. *gasp*

    Didn't you just say that you spell gray both ways? So does that make you a fake American? Or only semi-American? If you were a true American, you'd spell all words the American way, wouldn't you? To be noted: I spell the color denoting a combination of white and black as grey almost exclusively. It just looks more correct. I also never spell theatre the American way as the American way is an abomination that shouldn't exist. And Orlok, the above confession does not give you permission to say that I'm clearly being reformed and embracing my true British roots. Never, I say. You cannot bleed the American out of me. It's too strong.

    Three emissaries for different foreign countries must work together to stop a couple of thugs. Another hint: Two of the emissaries left the other on the wrong side of the wall in Berlin. He was not happy with them.

    Just to get this out there before the game starts and people start doubting what's said, even if it's in blue text: I may or may not have time to be completely active in this game. My current place of employment crossed a line yesterday and I've since applied for a new job--one that I have a pretty good chance of getting. However, getting it means I would have to move, which will eat into a lot of my game-playing time. If this happens, I will keep up as much as I can, but if I go moderately inactive and say that I'm moving, just know that it's not some ploy or whatever and that I'm actually telling the truth. Because I will be.

    When I was hired with my current employer, I was told every employee in good standing with the company would get a raise at least once per year. My first year working for them, this proved true. I got a raise 2 months after being hired, when I was transferred to a new team, and sometime before my first year anniversary (I'm not sure when it happened, though I know it was sometime between March and May 2014, since I noticed it in July but I could only see back to the first June paycheck). For the second year, I did not get a raise. For this third year, I didn't get a raise until today. The first two pay raises were both 50 cents each. I have a friend who got a raise in Feb/Mar 2014 who also got a 50 cents raise. I'm pretty sure that that's their standard raise. Which is a solid pay raise. Not too much, but not too little. Two months ago, my team lead told us that everyone who hadn't gotten a raise within the last year (ie, me) would get a raise at the end of the first quarter. I was expecting at least a 50 cent raise, if not a full dollar. I wasn't going to count on a full dollar, because even just 50 cents is great. Heck, I don't even need a raise, but it would sure be nice. They gave me my raise today. It was 13 cents. I feel like I've been slapped in the face and told that the work I've done for the last two years is only worth 13 cents. Who gives a 13 cent raise? I mean, really. That's worse than not even giving a raise. It's an insult. I never thought a raise would feel like an insult, but this totally does. I wanted to get out of here before. Now I really want to. And this time, I'm absolutely serious about it. Before, I wanted to at least somewhat fix my health issues before I change up my life, but I can't deal with this company anymore. I'm nearly certain they're the reason I have my current health issues. Fortunately, one of my friends works for a fantastic marketing firm in the Salt Lake area (I'm in the Provo area) and they're hiring. And one of the positions they're hiring for is perfect for me. So I'm fixing up my resume to apply for that position tonight. I suppose my bad day isn't going to end on a bad note, which is probably a good thing.

    Brightlady Kenara has once again found herself in the Warcamps. Hopefully this time doesn't end with a Shardblade through her back... She's still a little paranoid about people sneaking up on her, and she has a mild hatred for Highprince Aladar. Oh, and she's looking for her daughter's left hand. Katara's corpse was violated and Kenara will see the violator brought to justice. A bright, fiery justice full of pain.

    Thank you for the nominations, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to decline. Between working full time and other stuff going on, I really don't have the time (or energy) to keep up with something this big for this long.

    Actually, the singers aren't all Temple Square missionaries. I know this because my stake was supposed to supply the singers for one of the Saturday morning sessions about a year ago, and my sister and I went and were able to go to the afternoon session because of it. I think that's often what it is: members from the area who are asked to sing hymns to drown out the protestors in exchange for tickets. It's pretty cool.

    I was at the first session of General Conference yesterday. Listened to the second on my phone since I don't have cable. Two comments about both sessions. One, the anti-Mormons who gather outside the Conference Center really need to work on their rhetoric. One guy had a sign that said "My name is Satan and these preachers are my missionaries" and I'll be honest: I'm confused. Is he saying that *he* is Satan, or that the prophet is Satan? Because then while we were crossing the street, he yelled out "I am Satan," so I feel like he's saying that he's Satan and that just doesn't make any sense if he's trying to bash the church. But let's say that he's saying that the prophet is Satan. Is he trying to save the LDS folks' souls? Does he think he can do that if he insults us by calling us Satan-worshippers? And if he's not trying to save our souls, why is he wasting 6+ hours of his life standing on a sidewalk in Salt Lake City yelling "I am Satan"? The second comment is about the nay-sayers in the second session. The ones who yell out "opposed" during the sustaining votes for the prophet and other apostles. Why are they even at conference? What's the point? If I didn't believe, I sure as heck wouldn't go just to twiddle my thumbs for the hour and a half after yelling out opposed. Again, that seems like a massive waste of time for something that nets you literally nothing. I guess I value my time and don't see the point of spending it on something I don't like or believe in. Nor do I see the point of interfering with others' beliefs and telling them how wrong they are. That's not a way to make or keep friends. Nor is it a way to actually have a reasonable discussion with other rational human beings who have differing opinions to yours...

    It was a process. A long process.... I'd known for a bit there was a function that combined info from other cells. I just hadn't read up on it and actually used it. So that "discovery" was me actually using it and realizing just how brilliant it is. I'm very, very proud of that spreadsheet and some of those functions. I particularly like the function that checks insanity bonuses (though I never did get a Naming tab up for the Naming uses, which was going to automate the Naming side of the insanity bonuses too....). I have a great many ideas on how to streamline it so it's easier for future GMs to handle. Like El.

    Lopen, do you mean to say that we let you take Hael's head and now you're going to turn your back on us? The GMs? Is this wise? You'll end up with a bounty on your spine no matter which course you take with that attitude.
