  1. Well. I can finally post on a decent computer. Using my phone is all well and good to keep up, but posting with Swype just sucks. I knew UberTin was real. This is why I didn't want to send Peng my role initially. Well, that and I didn't trust him entirely, but that's beside the point. I'll take a leaf out of Kurk's book and fully-disclose: I am also a muggle. Though I am jealous of all those people who have Snapped in the write-up. I'd had such high hopes. They have now been crushed. :/
  2. Aw. I've always wanted to see someone get drawn and quartered. I hope you realize you're NOT gonna get those last two Spikes, Cessie. You failed. How's that feel?
  3. I'm not sure how I feel about being right about this. I kind of wish I was wrong. 2 dead and a convert is going to suck. Although...I guess if Peng hadn't drawn Thug last night, that's exactly what would've happened last night too. Hm. I'm...a little worried now. :/
  4. Wasn't there something about how she can only have one active power each turn? Or was it cycle? I can't remember. Anyway, whatever it was, I think it was a restriction on that. So she couldn't do two moves like that in one night.
  5. The way UberSteel is worded makes it seem like the entire Spiked team (Inquisitor AND Spiked) only have one kill. So if the Inquisitor attacks someone, the Spiked can't. If the Spiked attack, the Inquisitor can't. Or he can convert (if there's a Spike available). So you could have a night where the Inquisitor converts and the Spiked attack. Like what happened a few nights ago. And that's not even counting any abilities the Spiked might have. I don't know what the logisitcs would be with those, though. Any thoughts?
  6. Hm. I'd thought you said it was effectively impossible. I might be wrong about that, though. However, the Spiked do have a kill per night, so even one Spiked without any power at all could still kill us. That's kind of unlikely to happen though. I mean, 1 against any more than 6 people is pretty terrible odds for that Spiked, and you're right about us being more coordinated. Once the Inquisitor's dead, it should be fairly easy to ferret out the Spiked. At least most of them. So even if there's one left against 8 of us, the odds of them winning are rather slim.
  7. Um. It's still possible for even one Spiked to win, if they can kill everyone else. It's unlikely, but it's still possible. And the odds right now aren't that different from the first game. We've got 20 players currently. 3 Spiked, 1 Inquisitor. They're about to gain another convert, and probably kill at least one person tonight (possibly two). So that'll be 18-19 players in the game. 13-14 crew members against 5 on Team Evil. Inquisitor dies (if Fate shines down on us kindly), bringing the total number of enemies to 4. Against 13-14. Those aren't great odds, but they're do-able, definitely. We saw that last game.
  8. To get links like that, it's like this: Anchor text here [/url.] And remove the periods.I typically just Google for the coding if I don't know something. Which is something I've done a ton since my text editor isn't working.
  9. I'm all for ending the day early. Although I noticed that there are some people who haven't voted yet who typically vote. And they might still want to. For the crew's benefit, here is another list. Ish. Not that we really need it. Cessie - 11 - Gamon, Dyring, Ridge, Kukri, Hero, Barty, Seran, Wilson, Ollivier, Wes, Aonar Not voted yet - 9 - Cessie, Peng, Aether, Vron, Aspren, Grave, Windy, Matheiu, Roban
  10. Well, of course. There's surely not any other reason we would ever resort to such a gruesome way to kill someone. Nope....Definitely not because you want to see someone drawn and quartered William Wallace-style.
  11. Wilson votes for Cessie. I'd make a list, but I don't really see the point. We all know who's getting lynched. Pretty sure that's not going to change. Or that anyone will vote for someone else. Also, I concur with Gamon. I may be a certifiably sick and twisted individual for saying this, but any plan that mentions drawing and quartering has to be a good one.
  12. This is the list I use. Just click to embiggen it. There are plenty of color choices available. It's by far the best list I've come across (I ended up bookmarking it when I found it because of how often I need to use it).
  13. I think the third option is the most likely, given the circumstances (although it still shocks me that they'd play that kind of a gambit with the Inquisitor of all people). We'll see for certain tomorrow when we kill her. The first is a chance, but I really kind of doubt it. Meta makes it fairly obvious to the reader (not necessarily a skimmer) when someone Snaps, so I don't think we missed anything. And I don't think the second option is even possible. At least, not from the way I read the rules about the Unsnapped. Granted, there isn't anything in there about the Unsnapped being converted, but I was under the impression that they'd convert just like a regular player with no powers, until they Snap and get a power. I think the only power a convert can have is the power imbued in the Spike, and even that's just a 50/50 shot.
  14. This is exactly why I didn't cast my vote. I was leaning toward Shiv (bad, bad decision on my part...again), but not enough to vote for him. And I knew one of the two needed to die, so I wasn't about to vote no kill. However, Barty, you won't be aiding a disaster next time. Next time is tomorrow. And we will be lynching Cessie. Who we know is evil. I'm pretty sure you want to be in on that.
  15. This isn't entirely correct, Peng. Even though Cessie is down to one life, she's still a Misting. And if we kill her, that'll give the Inquisitor a Thug Spike to go convert someone with tonight. Now, I don't know about you, but I really don't like the idea of a Spiked Thug. On the flip side, I also don't like the idea of a Spiked Lurcher either. At this point, I don't think it's about which one will hurt less for us. If we kill the wrong one, it's going to hurt a lot. So the goal isn't to kill the one that will hurt less. It's to kill the one we think is guilty. Right now, I'm leaning towards Shiv, but he's made a really good case for himself that makes me hesitant to vote for him (even if he accused me of being too happy when I came into the room earlier). Because of this, I'm going to hold my vote back a little longer just to give Peng more time to decide what he wants to do. And then I'll probably go along with that decision (but I withhold the right to make that choice once I know what his decision is). EDIT: I want to make it clear that I'm not discrediting Peng's orginal statement. If Shiv truly is a Lurcher, that's an important role for our side. Far more important than Cessie's down-one-life Thug, if she is innocent. My point is simply that this isn't as simple as which one is more important to the crew right now. It's also about which one can help the Spiked. Because either will (if we kill the wrong one--and that is the imperative phrase here. We have to be sure to kill the Spiked. Only then can we know that we're not actually helping them).
  16. It is now. I went in to update your vote right after I posted that. But my internet decided to slow down temporarily.
  17. Wilson enters the room and looks around. She giggles a little at the poem on the wall, finding the Tineye to be quite the comedian. Then she notices the list stuck to the wall. Aonar's list. For a quick moment, she worries that someone is trying to take over her apprenticeship, but then she dismisses that worry. There's nothing stopping Aether from taking another. She'll be fine. However, I should probably throw up some sort of list. Just to make sure. She sits down at the bar and listens to the accusations, fascinated by the Lord Mistborn's evidence. It seems like they might finally be on the right course. She starts scribbling furiously on a piece of paper, and when she's finished, she takes a knife from the counter and sticks the list up on the wall for all to see. Current Vote Count Hero - 0 Shiv - 8 (Peng, Barty, Hero, Gamon, Kukri, Ridge, Dyring, Roban) Cessie - 3 (Maxill, Ollivier, Shiv) No one - 1 (Aspren) Haven't voted yet - 10 (Windy, Vron, Wes, Seran, Aether, Matheiu, Aonar, Cessie, Wilson, Grave) Suspicions/Opinions Quillion and Ridge both agree that people previously claimed to be regular crew members are suspects. Dyring still suspects his previous suspects (Aspren, Vron, Aonar, Hero, Maxill, Wilson, and Gamon) Barty suspects Hero. Hero, in turn, has his eye on Barty (although not because Barty suspects him). Shiv and Cessie both claim to have Snapped. One is definitely lying. Peng suspects Shiv, but has also stated we will be out less if Cessie dies and she is innocent than we would if Shiv dies and he's innocent. Votes Barty for Hero (retracted) Peng for Shiv Barty retracted vote for Hero; votes for Shiv Hero for Shiv Gamon for Shiv Kukri for Shiv Ridge for Shiv Vron for Shiv Aspren for Shiv Dyring for Shiv Shiv for no one. Aspren retracted vote for Shiv; votes for no one. Vron retracted vote for Shiv; votes for no one. Maxill for Cessie Roban for Shiv Ollivier for Cessie Shiv retracted vote for no one; votes for Cessie (to be updated throughout the day) EDIT 1: Figured I should probably put the list of those who've told Peng their roles too, based on who said so earlier. Here is the crew list. Those who've told Peng are bold. Gamon Barty Windy Wes Ridge Vron Seran Kukri Aether Matheiu Aonar Cessie Herwynbe Dyring Ollivier Maxill Roban Wilson Shiv - Didn't admit, but Peng said he got the PM. Grave Aspren If your name isn't bolded on the above list and you've told Peng, please let us know. Or Peng can tell us who's told him. Out of those that haven't (or if someone on here claims to've said something but they didn't really, that would be incredibly useful as well). EDIT 2: Added Kukri's vote. EDIT 3: Added Ridge's vote. EDIT 4: Added Vron, Aspren, and Dyring's votes. EDIT 5: Added Shiv's vote, changed Aspren's, added the people who haven't voted, and updated the suspicions/opinions with the Shiv/Cessie Snapped debate. EDIT 6: Added Maxill's vote. EDIT 7: Added Vron's vote change (It would be nice if people would post anew to let the List-Makers know when a retraction occurs. ) EDIT 8: Added Roban's vote. EDIT 9: Added Ollivier's, and changed Shiv's
  18. I, Wilson, have also told Peng my role. And I totally agree with conversing here. Like what Barty said, we've got a better chance of catching the Spiked or even the Inquisitor if we converse more. Rather than leaving it to one person or a very small group of people to notice discrepancies via PM, here everyone can see it. So there're a lot more chances of people noticing.
  19. Since it's pretty clear who's going to die, and I don't actually think Eddy is the Inquisitor, I am going to abstain from voting. Please note that my vote is not in red, making it official. This is simply so the rioter can't change it, making me kill someone I don't want to. It's all essentially the same thing anyway. Wilson, seeing the group gang up agInst Eddy, watches him turn to one last drinking party. She heads to the bar to get own drink, and sits down next to him. "Let's make this last meal....er....drink.....a good one."
  20. Yes, I have. I used to live in Idaho but I moved to Utah last summer. I meet Mi'ch/RainbowRose for the first time in real life then, although I'd known her online for about 4-5 years. I also met Josh/Rubix then as well. And we regularly do games and go to signings and stuff. Outside of those 2 and some select others, I haven't met anyone else.
  21. Oops. *Fixed. In my defense, it was my first list of such length, and as such, I was bound to make errors somewhere. Of course, I would've hoped those errors wouldn't be about who had actually commissioned said list, but....things happen. I'm still not quite sure how this one did happen though. I heartily appreciate both the atium and my VERY large tip. The tip was far, fare more than I'd expected. And we would be pleased to aid you in the future (near or far) if ever you need our help again. ....Actually, I'm pretty sure it was me who started that group. By PMing both you and Maill at the same time. Which really doesn't put me in a very good light, all things considered. But we knew that. I still have misgivings about you and those voices in your head. I would never have become half the List-Maker I am without your stern direction, so even if I do surpass you, I will always remember my humble beginnings. (Also, I'm a padawan! Yes! All my dreams have come true!) You're very welcome. It was kind of a must though. It's so intrinsic to your character that you can't even have a recap without mentioning it. I don't even want to count mine. I'm fairly certain that all my categories are over 70% Sanderson Elimination.... Particularly my rep. I think that's closer to 85-90%. I mean, that last list alone is over 10% of my rep. And that's just one post.
  22. Ah. Well. I shall fix that. Sorry. Normally I default to "he" even though I'm female. I can't even remember how I thought you were as well. Huh. And I know exactly what you mean about wrong gender pronouns. I get it all the time. EDIT to keep from double posting I know I said I'd practice that, but....this one was a little on the lengthy side for me to really put it my all. So I kind of just told it how it was. Honesty and all that. Figured it was best, especially since I'm one of the accused.
  23. Dyring Ridge, I thank you for your commission and will gladly accept payment in either atium or Breaths. I hope the result of my hard work is satisfactory to you. And now, without any further ado, I present The Official Documentation of Day 2 Votes (As It Pertains to The Chandrian….*ahem* I mean, the Accused 7) Part 1: The Day 2 Chronicle of Voting, Including the Order of Votes and Information Regarding Deadlocks Peng started it off with a vote for Wes Aspren refused to vote for anyone. Retracted Wes voted for Kukri. Retracted Vron voted for Quillion. Retracted Kukri voted for Wes Barty voted for Wes Wilson voted for no one. Retracted Maxill voted for Quillion. Retracted Aonar voted for Quillion. Retracted (deadlock between Wes and Quillion) Wilson retracted vote for no one; voted for Quillion. Retracted (broke deadlock; retracted vote immediately afterward; deadlock) Ollivier voted for Wes (broke deadlock) Wilson voted for Quillion. Retracted (deadlock) Shimble Leice voted for Wes. Retracted (broke deadlock) Wes retracted vote for Kukri; voted for Quillion. Retracted (deadlock) Seran voted for no one. Retracted Gamon voted for Wes (broke deadlock) Herwynbe retracted vote for no one; voted for Shimble Lucy voted for Wes Cessie voted for no one. Aonar retracted vote for no one; voted for Shimble Roban voted for Herwynbe Dyring voted for Wes Aether voted for no one. Aspren retracted vote refusal; voted for Shimble Eddy voted for Shimble Vron retracted vote for Quillion; voted for Shimble Wilson retracted vote for Quillion; voted for Shimble Maxill retracted vote for Quillion; voted for Shimble (deadlock between Wes and Shimble – 7 votes each) Aether added himself to the votes for Shimble but didn’t retract previous vote or formally colorize vote to make official. Didn’t count Ridge voted for Wes (broke deadlock) END OF VOTING PERIOD Wes retracted vote for Quillion; voted for no one. Didn’t count Cessie retracted vote for no one; voted for Shimble. Didn’t count Part 2: The Suspicions, Reasonings, and Regrets of the Shimble-Accusers (aka The 7) There is a fault with this title, as it does not pertain to just 7 individuals. As per the orders of the commissioner (one, Mr Dyring Ridge), I am listing everything in regards to all of those who cast a vote for Shimble (including those that weren’t counted). The Accused Stand Here: Hero Aonar Aspren Eddy Vron Wilson Maxill Aether Cessie Hero began the discussion with an impassioned request of our Lord Mistborn: As you can see, Hero suspects Shimble and Kukri. He does not vote at this time. Eddy was drunk. But he wanted the Lord Mistborn to give his “grand resoning” [sic] for accusing Wes. Aspren declined to vocalize suspicions, but said he would prefer not to have someone killed. He voted for no one. Alvron said that “No one has any real proof of anything,” and proceeds to vote for Quillion in the hopes that since Quillion is not the actual player, Lord Ollivier, that no one will die. Cessie gave an impassioned speech as well: Wilson stated that the Lord Mistborn is likely who he says he is, but she would not blindly follow him in his votes, particularly when she thought Wes was being targeted for his lack of Allomancy. She voted for no one. Maxill voted for Quillion even though he would prefer to vote for no one. He wanted a deadlock, but admitted that interference by an emotional allomancer could mess that up. He asked Wilson to follow his example. He also asked Aether for another list and wanted to know if a vote for Quillion actually counted. (To which, Meta responded that it counts toward Lord Ollivier) Aonar wanted the Lord Mistborn’s reasoning for choosing Wes, and said he doesn’t want to kill anyone if he doesn’t have to. He voted for Quillion to get the deadlock and hoped that an emotional Allomancer wouldn’t interfere. Wilson realized the truth or Maxill’s words, retracted her vote for no one, and voted for Quillion. She also requested a list from Aether. Upon posting, she realized she’d been ninja’d by Aonar and retracted her vote, bringing the deadlock back. Hero withheld his vote, wishing for the Lord Mistborn to appear and assuage all the requests for explanation. Alvron stated that he’s not voting with the Lord Mistborn because there’s nothing to go on, quoting the Lord Mistborn’s explanation that Wes was his best guess. He would like proof that killing Wes is a good idea. He also apologized to Quiver for casting the first vote on Lord Ollivier’s proxy, Quillion. He declined to list suspicions because he doesn’t believe in mob rule. He wanted everyone to make up their own mind. Aonar changed his vote to no one to keep the deadlock between Wes and Quillion in place. Hero supported the idea of following the Lord Mistborn’s opinions, but could not rightly follow him when “by his own lips,” the Lord Mistborn “admitted that he does not have any good reason for his judgment.” He then went on to say others had acted suspiciously and had been called out on that suspicious behavior, but he didn’t list any names. However, he said we shouldn’t ignore those observations. He officially withheld his vote and hoped that the Lord Mistborn would reconsider his vote for Wes. Because Hero disliked that the Lord Mistborn disappeared shortly after casting his vote, he requested an extra 12 hours onto the day, extending the time to vote in hopes that the Lord Mistborn would return and “give us better reasoning” or possibly “be swayed by reasoning of the group.” He didn’t wish for the Lord Mistborn to disclose any information better kept private—he simply wanted to know if he had good reasoning, and if so, Hero would “happily vote along with him.” Hero pointed out that two people, independently, have voiced suspicion for Shimble Leice. Wilson created The Master List to help everyone see the progress thus far. SHIMBLE stated that killing him would not be a good idea for our side. Hero found it “noteworthy that multiple people have voiced suspicions of Shimble,” and admitted that he’d suspected him too. He retracted his vote for no one and officially voted for Shimble. He also said that because Shimble just admitted to having an important, he’s all but made it certain the Inquisitor would target him that night if he didn’t die today. (Wilson’s note: I think Hero thought the Inquisitor could only convert with a Spike he had killed someone with, so if we killed a Misting during the day, the Inquisitor couldn’t use that power in a conversion.) Cessie voted not to kill anyone. She stated that by killing people, we make it more likely the Inquisitor will hit a Misting at night, but if we leave people alive, the Inquisitor will be less likely to hit a Misting in a random attack. Aonar was persuaded by Hero and voted for Shimble, who is definitely the “most suspicious.” He didn’t think the deadlock would hold, once the emotional Allomancers appeared, but he wanted to at least vote for someone who had “actually done something suspicious.” Aether created an additional fine list of the votes, complementing Wilson’s list. He disagreed with the idea of a deadlock and didn’t want to help create one, but at the same time, he didn’t want to vote for Wes, so he decided to vote for no one. Aspren retracted his previous vote and voted for Shimble, stating that he would much rather vote for no one. He also stated that if sufficient reason to change his vote came along, he would cave to that reasoning. Hero noted that the Lord Mistborn still had not appeared, despite the additional timeframe. Eddy appeared, still drunk, and said a lot of gibberish, but ultimately caved to the alcohol because he hadn’t heard the Lord Mistborn’s reasonings. He voted for Shimble. Vron changed his vote to Shimble because the Lord Mistborn still had not explained the choice to kill Wes. He hoped by voting this way, it would create a deadlock, but acknowledged the difficulty that emotional allomancers will have on that possibility. Wilson hoped that the Lord Mistborn would reappear before the end of the day, to give the crew direction. Because she didn’t actually think Quillion was bad, nor did she think Wes was, she was left with Shimble, who she agreed had been acting suspiciously. She wasn’t sure the suspicious behavior was enough to lynch him, but it was better than what she had on Ollivier. She expressed a desire to deadlock the vote but knew that was unlikely as there would be at least one emotional allomancer. She voted for Shimble because, if someone has to die, it’s better for that to be the suspicious one than the innocent one. After voting, she hoped that the Lord Mistborn would return, particularly if Shimble actually did have a role they didn’t want to kill. She wished for time to adjust the votes in that event. Maxill retracted his vote for Quillion and voted for Shimble. This vote created a deadlock. Aether updated his list, including himself in the votes for Shimble, but didn’t retract his previous vote for no one, nor did he cast an official vote for Shimble. Vron tried to tell Aether that his vote wouldn’t count. Wilson noted that there are probably multiple emotional allomancers involved in the vote, and because of this, there’s still a remote chance a tie could happen. Unlikely, but possible. VOTING ENDED Cessie took too long catching up on everything so her vote for Shimble didn’t make the deadline. Wilson noted that with a the vote standing at Wes-8, Shimble-7, the result really came down to the emotional allomancers, and hopefully it would end in a deadlock. META POSTED THE WRITE-UP Wilson expressed regret at Shimble’s role and wished the Lord Mistborn had’ve been around to say something. Aonar also expressed regret and said that it should’ve resulted in a deadlock. He was surprised that two votes for Wes were Soothed, since that would require two Soothers being convinced Shimble was the Inquisitor. Aspren admitted that Shimble told him his role, but that he wasn’t able to change his vote in time. The outcome was “unfortunate.” Eddy cursed his liquor for betraying him and leading him into the attack on Shimble. Aonar realized the irony in posting that the only way to help the Inquisitor more would be to kill a Coinshot or a Seeker and then helping to kill a Coinshot. Hero did a bit of role-play: He wished that Shimble hadn’t killed Ffnord, because he liked Ffnord’s hidden messages. (Wilson’s note: I did too. Ffnord is sorely missed.) Cessie had no desire to kill an innocent man but had truly believed Shimble wasn’t innocent. She was horrified at her actions: She wished Shimble had’ve said something more than the little bit he had, or that the Lord Mistborn has stopped the senseless slaughter. Aspren wished once again that the Lord Mistborn had told us his reasoning for targeting Wes. Then we all could’ve tried to “avoid killing anyone.” He wasn’t trying to kill Shimble, but he was trying to prevent a random killing. He stated that Shimble’s blood is pretty much on everyone’s hands—or at least those who voted for either Wes or Shimble. Maxill reminded other crew members that most of the crew behind the Shimble-vote hadn’t voted for Shimble intitally. They were simply looking to force a deadlock, since the Lord Mistborn’s followers sought blood so ferociously. He would’ve preferred not voting at all. Wilson agreed with Maxill. All she was looking for was a deadlock to prevent more death. Aonar defended himself by saying that if he were the Inquisitor, he would’ve “refused to vote,” but broken the deadlock towards the one “more likely to be a misting” with Soothing. That way, he would kill someone important and deflect suspicion. He stated that we should’ve pushed the Quillion/Wes deadlock more, rather than flip to Shimble/Wes. He didn’t feel comfortable going after random people, regardless of how important they are or not. He feels the Lord Mistborn should not be targeting the unimportant ones because regular crew members could be Unsnapped. Aether apologized for his mistake with the vote. He was….distracted…from the game. ----- I believe that is everything. Let me know if I missed anything. EDIT: simple formatting/grammar typos. EDIT: to fix Aonar's gender pronouns. (Laughing progressively harder on each one I had to fix. I feel like an idiot) EDIT: Fixed commissioner from Dyring to Ridge
