  1. inreally want to know what the Deepest Ones are like. She seemed to imply they were far more dangerous. I imagined the continent had a native race of some kimd and their shades are waaaaay worse to deal with.
  2. Just simulcast some superglue and stick their hands together. Done.
  3. Whoa, really? News to me.
  4. Well it would depend if Harmony lent a Kandra out on some sort of contract, or if Harmony asked to Kandra to help, or if the Kandra is rogue.
  5. Itchyness
  6. Well it is hinted that bravery somehow is related to becoming a Returned (I know babies are the complication here). Perhaps there is some kind of break that happens when someone makes a large moral decision and this mini-break lets Endowment in for a brief period of time (which is why the people return after an IMMEDIATE brave death, not a death 2 years after something brave)
  7. I would like to see what the weirder powers like Gold or the 11th Metal would do when the skill was enhanced; maybe you could talk to the shadow?
  8. Jasnah does seem to be particularily OP of she can just turn people into puddimg. I assume anyone with investiture is immune or semi-immune. I also wonder how much resistance someone can achieve naturally through meditation, study, or other factors; would a lifelong monk go down as easily as a dim thug?
  9. I am pretty sure the series is arcing towards Adolin and Kaladin ( •ॢ◡-ॢ)
  10. Id love for a certain dowager queen to bond the Nightwatcher. As for the third bondable spren, I think it is likely an old spren that predates the arrival of humans on the planet. There were things around before the refugees showed up on Roshar.
  11. This character is also given a lot more detail that others in the graphic novel. If Brandon asked for Wit to be placed in the book, this music playing man is the best option. Oldish, music, foreground, multiple frames, key investiture event, cloak
  12. I love Endownment the most. It seems like she is actively trying to help her people and potentially, maybe, fight back against Odium. We have seen some evidence that she's moving her peices around and bringing back some returned for fairly large reasons. She is one of the best at foresight afterall. I also have a strong sense of sadness towards Ambition's demise. His/Her death kind of upset me, and I hope Ambition, being ambition, managed to plan something quite ambitious post-alleged death. Ambition was in hiding for a long time, long enough to see Devotion and Dominion go down, so I feel like he/she might not be completely out of the running cosmere-wise. Part of me thinks the shades on Threnody are more than just a wooops of war.
  13. Strange. Didn't Vasher remove the emotional trauma of that kidnapped noble girl? Sure, she didn't have depression, but she did have a severely altered metal state that would have lead to depression. Perhaps those memories hadn't had enough time to sink into her identity.
  14. Well, the Ire Population could be an offshoot of the ORIGINAL inhabitant of Elantris. It is never explained where the original Elatnriam population went. The city was discovered abandoned before the events of Elantris. Perhaps the original Elantrian population all migrated into the Cognitive realm for some reason, and those people are experiencing the time-dilation we keep seeing hints of? As an unlikely side-note: It would be interesting to see a struggle between older Cognitive Realm Elantirians and the newer Physical Realm Elantrians.
  15. Well, so far we don't know if Sandmastery is of Autonomy or something older like "listening". We also don't know if Autonomy values individual or group Autonomy more. We still have a lot of questions. I would love to know if Taldain had life before Automy arrived. If so, then there is a chance sandmastery is something Autonomy wants stamped out.
  16. Do Copperminds store thoughts or memories? This could be very useful if it was impossible to lie when filling a coppermind. (though you could misremember).
  17. It would be interesting if the future is more determined when someone predicts it. Vorinism would shy away from self defeating proficies sent from the unmade since believing in those proficies gave them more power in the cognative realm. Even if Truthwatchers had forsight, the Unmade may have caused too much trouble with their visions and rattles. I never liked trusting info sent by the Unmade. Maybe the Diagram wasn't so much a presictive masterpiece so much as it caused certain possibilities to crystalize. Overtime people would begin to doubt predictions. As people start to doubt the diagram, the diagram becomes less powerful realmatically, perhaps.
  18. I think it likely that she moved to Silverlight.
  19. Dalinar speaks both the 1st and the 2nd ideal during the same conversation.
  20. After Dalinar bonds the Stormfather, Kaladin is suprised how easily Dalinar absorbed gemlight. Kaladin said it took him a week, but Dalinar says " i had a teacher" or something like that (implying Kaladin's example helped). This could be because Dalinar had an example, or something to do with Bondsmiths, or Dalinar has been absorbing light for a lot longer than we thought. After bonding with the stormfather, Dalinar also thinks something like "I must have been absorbing some light furing the battle, considering my wounds". It seems like Dalinar was absorning light BEFORE he met with the Stormfather? How? It dorsn't seem like the Stormfather was trying to assist Dalinar in anyway before the words were spoken. I suppose the visions could have been enough to allow a partial bond to form. Is the spiritweb crack itself enough to let in light?
  21. Another possibility is Rashadium Horses. They do seem to bond with their Rider. Perhaps they allow an individual to absorb a small amount of investiture (enough to heal the body a bit but not enough to completely override the expectation of scars).
  22. During the end of WoR, a medical professional in Dalinar's army inspects Dalinar's newest shoulder wound. The doctor is horrified to see that the skin is mostly scar. Dalinar seems to have suffered an incongruently large number of wounds to his shoulder (and likely other body parts). The doctor says that Dalinar shouldn't be able to fight at all considering the previous trauma that the shoulder has suffered. Danilar should never have recovered full from his previous wounds. Dalinar jokes off the remark, but the doctor insists that the human body can't function normally after receiving wounds like his.... “Storms” the surgeon said, “Highprince, you’re all scars under here. How many time have you been wounded in the shoulder” “Can’t Remember” “How can you still use your arm?” “Training and practice” “that’s not how it works…” she whispered eyes wider “I mean… Storms…” --- Do we think Dalinar has previously drawn in stormlight? Has he been a base-level Radiant for a lot longer than we thought? Dalinar took multiple arrows to the shoulder in his newly released flashback chapters. It seems as if Dalinar never stopped being the Blackthorn due to injury, though? The Blackthorn doesn't sound like a great candidate for a Nahel-bond so it doesn't make a lot of sense to say he was healing with Stormlight? Perhaps Shardeplate has regenerative qualities? Perhaps the gems can slowly leach into the body? Shardplate is so rare that perhaps medics haven't had the opportunity to study its effects on healing. Another option is that The Thrill might grant impressive regenerative properties (we know that it can energize and invigorate), but you'd think the medic would be aware of such a phenomena associated with The Thrill. Perhaps Daninar's Thrill was something so beastly that he was able to tap into Odium's investiture? My other thought is that perhaps his body was healed by The Nightwatcher. This seems unlikely since Dalinar has sustained multiple wounds to his body over the course of decades. It seems unlikely that Dalinar visited the Nightwatcher so early in his life (though we can't be sure just yet). What do you guys think? How has Dalinar managed to heal from the wounds he sustained in his youth?
  23. This AMA isn't really for us though. It seems like he's trying to engage new fans.
  24. I think burning shardblades might be the most humane thing people could do for the "screaming" shardblades. I would love to see the Stormfather demand the Tortured Spren be euthanized.
  25. Oops, my bad.
