It turns out that I'm not going to be at BYU for winter semester. I'm taking a leave of absense from school to deal with my anxiety disorder. But you guys should totally still make the club. Making it as an official club would be cool. The hardest part would be finding a full-time staff member to be our advisor. I asked Peter if he mnew any full-time staff members who were fans of Brandon and he didn't know. I would bet there are, but I just don't know how to find them.

I've been thinking about it, and I've decided that I agree with this. Mailliw's post looks like he was trying to start a bandwagon. So I'm goig to vote for him. Mailliw- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Unless the other guardsman comes forward, I'm inclined to believe Eolhondras here. I was wishing he would be an eliminator, but it makes just as much sense for him to be the guardsman, unless there's something I'm missing. I always use phrases like "I think" or "I doubt" or "unless I'm wrong" so everybody knows I'm not manipulating them. It's necessary, but it also makes me feel like a cop-out.- 611 replies

Awesome! I noticed that you don't have much information on Ashyn. Here is a deeper description of what it looks like: http://youtu.be/7TyHTj9_bSs?t=35m3s

I will. I would have said hi earlier, but I arrived half an hour late, so I was in the line for a really long time, and then I had to hurry out.

I didn't think it was very likely. She was the one who converted Wax to Pathism, so we know she was on Scadrial within the last couple of decades. But a lot of people in this thread were convinced that it must be her because she was the only major female kandra character in the trilogy, so I decided I might as well ask.

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, I mean manipulation. Of all the remaining darkeyes, you three (not your powers, but your words) are the most dangerous, potentially. Thanks for this post. I agree with everything you said. Now I shall patiently await Aonar's post. I wish the guardsmen would come forward. If somebody says they're the guardsman who protected Kasimir, we know that they are probably good, unless they are lying about having protected him, or unless they were from another group of spies besides the ones who attacked Kasimir and they thought he was bad (and I seriously doubt both of those possibilities).- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Phase one: cleanse the lighteyes. (almost complete) Phase two: scourge the darkeyes. (commencing) Votes: Ace (1): Macen, Winter Cloud Renegade (1): Kasimir Araris (1): Wilson Jasnah (1): Mailliw Luckat (1): Macen I will probably vote for Renegade, Mailliw or Aonar. They have more potential to confuse me than somebody like Jasnah, so I view them as larger targets. No offense, Jasnah. Take it as a sign of the success of your feigned inactivity. I'll wait for a little bit more discussion from those three before I throw my vote on there.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
There are some pretty good reasons for us to trust Wilson, Kasimir and Alvron. There are four other experienced players who are still alive: Renegade, Aonar, Mailliw and Joe. It's likely that at least one of them is bad. Also, I doubt that there are more than two lighteyed spies. So I think that either Renegade, Aonar or Mailliw is a spy. However, this is extremely tenuous reasoning, with lots of "probably"s. But let's just keep our eyes open. "Of the three of those, Renegade and Aonar have done a lot of useful analysis, so I trust them a little bit more" is what Riitiidiikiiiir of the pirate game would have said. Newan the Invisager is just going to keep an open mind about those two. Also, by my count there are 7 loyal darkeyes left. Come on, shardblade! shardblade shardblade shardblade- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't know why people are saying that we learned nothing. The eliminators tried to kill Kasimir. Plus, unless the guardsman who saved Macen comes forward, it's almost certain he's bad. Maybe the guardsman was convinced that Macen was legit, and just wanted to save a surgeon. Please come forward. Now that you have used up your power, I doubt you have anything to fear from the eliminators, at least for a few more cycles.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This means that Macen is bad and his teammate is a bad guardsman, right? Does that mean Luckat should chop Macen into little pieces? If we choose this route, we should wait until Macen is dead before we consider lynching Odysa. If we kill Macen and he is the bad officer, Odysa is much less likely to be bad. Also, this means Kaddar is definitely good, right?- 611 replies

Me neither. I only knew about Portland and Newport, where my sisters live, and Bend, my ex-girlfriend's hometown. (I really hope they hauled chull out of that state before the events of this RP. Haha) Edit: I've decided that, unless somebody says otherwise, I will imagine the second-to-last picture when I picture the Dalles' defenses. That makes the most sense, and it is the most convenient for the story I want to tell. Also, unless Jain says otherwise, I picture the pandas as being amassed to the south, then also having regiments guarding the three major highways that go out of the city on the Oregon side. This makes sense because they would want to block off the major escape routes from the city, wouldn't they? I mean, the Reader ended up going to the bunker, but what if he had tried to make a run for it? (Also, it would make it a lot more reasonable for a stray arrow to have hit Current Event if there were some pandas northwest of the city by the 84) One more question: how nice are the cars in the Dalles? Is there someone who has a really cool car that the Fugitives could steal? Reader seems like the type to own a sports car. The could just take a random car that belongs to some non-important character, but hey, storytelling is all about conflict, right?

Did we lose the ability to attach pictures to these posts? I click More Reply Options, and it usually has an Attach Files button, but for some reason it's not there anymore. It's still there in some other threads I've tried. Edit: The attachment button is also missing when I click More Reply Options in other threads in this subforum as well. HOW ARE WE GOING TO ATTACH OUR PONIES? Edit 2: Ok, I actually have a question to ask that requires pictures, so I'm doing it the old-fashioned way (that is to say, the overly-complicated way I posted pictures before I figured out about the "Attach Files" button.) What are the northern defenses like? Where did the Fugitives land, and how difficult will it be to infiltrate the city?

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It's all good. I do respond to accusations quickly, and it's those who have accused me who have helped me to get back into this game and take it more seriously, so I actually really appreciate those who have nudge voted me. Somehow, it's when I'm bloodthirsty that people see me as trustworthy. Is that weird? I see lots of good points, and I don't really have anything to add at the moment, so I'll do a vote tally. Marand (1): Renegade Newan (0): Aonar, Kasimir Norlav (1): twelfthrootoftwo Odysa (2): mckeedee123, Newan Eoldren (0): Kasimir Ace (2): Alvron, Eolhondras Joe (3): Aonar, Macen, Wilson Karlin (1): Kasimir Reihmer (1): Mailliw- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
These reasons? Because I don't agree with these reasons. Different people have different playstyles, and it's ok to try out a new one. Charting my suspicious: didn't work for me. Trying to become a center of communication during a conversion game: also didn't work out. So I am still posting my suspicions and answering questions, just like I have always done, but give me a break from the attitude where if somebody doesn't play like Meta/Kasimir/Renegade/Aonar/Wilson, they must be hiding something. Because that is the only thing that I have done "wrong" in this game. I appreciate those who like doing complex analysis, but it doesn't work for everyone. To kill or block me would be a waste of an action. I've got no powers and have had very little interaction with others. It wouldn't stop the bad guys, and it wouldn't prove anything either. In a game with multiple teams of eliminators, you can't even say "he argued with this person, that means they aren't aligned similarly". So what should you do about me? Well, I'd say that you should trust me for now. Hopefully my hunch will be correct, and Odysa will turn out to be an eliminator. Then you will be a little bit closer to being able to trust me.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was just listing all of the people who said that they thought she was at least a little bit suspicious. And since you said she wasn't the least suspicious person, I thought that you meant you found her a little bit suspicious, but you thought other targets were more important. Sorry if I misinterpreted you.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm not sure. There are lots of possibilities (see Kasimir's post with charts) and your death would only narrow it down a little bit. But I do think you're bad, and if your death will make it a little bit easier to get a read on Wilson, well that's a win-win.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Newan replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hi guys. Sorry I wasn't active yesterday. I went online because I was at the signing and I was posting in the thread about that, but I don't think I managed to make it over here and post. Are you saying that I am suspicious because Macen and I would be a good Spy Team? I'm not sure what you're saying. Or why you're saying it. Have Macen and I been voting for the same people? I should probably go check for myself, but you're one accusing here. Yeah, I have been acting kind of like that. It's not because I'm guilty. It's because both times I was having trouble finding the time to read everyone's analysis deeply. I feel my senses a'tingling, though. There's definitely a tingle back there. Is that how I came to be? That's confusing. And now for my vote. Guys. There are five spies. That's not good. Some of the more intense players are really into complicated analysis of really small details, and that's good. We need that. But we also need somebody who can state the obvious sometimes. Sherlock needs his Watson, ya know? Meta wasn't really that suspicious. And I'm not really that suspicious. But Odysa is really flipping suspicious. Who agrees with me? Well, according to the posts in this cycle, Mailliw, Wilson, Renegade, Aonar, and Mack all agree that Odysa has been acting suspicious. So why is Mack the only one who has voted against her? Yes, there are going to be some really sneaky spies. But with five of them, total, there are going to be some who are less discrete. We shouldn't kill off our most experienced players based off of evidence as circumstantial as "He thought that a person was bad when the other players thought he could be bad or good." I think it will take that kind of deduction to kill the last couple of spies, but we don't need to stoop that low yet. So, I am proposing that we kill Odysa instead of role blocking her, and then we use the results of the lynch to try and narrow down on whether Wilson has a cold, evil heart hidden beneath all that kindness. (We all saw you lev your vote. That was gorram suspicious). PS. I also worry that two of the teams of eliminators might already be in contact. After the battle where nobody was killed, it was probably because at least one eliminator targeted another eliminator, right? And Kasimir thinks that at least one messenger is a spy. I'm not saying it's likely. I'm just saying that it's a possibility. Edit: color- 611 replies
