Does it exist outside the cosmere? Is it alive? Is it sentient? Can it move? Is it biotic?
-
Yes, it is.

Does Kaladin have a choice to do the wrong thing?
DreamEternal replied to moptop's topic in Stormlight Archive
Moptop, I think you didn't understand my point: Kaladin can't act wrongly according to the Windrunner understanding of Honor, else his bond weakens, so he knows when he is OK according to the Windrunner vision or not, but what if he decides that the windrunner Ideals are wrong, simplistic or incomplete? Then he could kill Syl and still think he has done the right thing. The doubt is not whatever he is following his ideals or not, but whatever they are worthy following or not. -
It is visible You can smell it, if ground to dust You can taste, at least I think, never tried myself. You can touch it It can be used to make noise, but is soundless on itself.

The only misunderstandings you had were that Elhokar was guilty and that he could protect himself. Elhokar can protect himself in a duel or in the battlefield, not against assassins in his own guard, and he is innocent, at least as far as the oaths are concerned, because one doens't deserve to die for incompetence, especialy when he is trying to become more competent. Plus, I doubt Dalinar would make a good king, he is too forceful, I think, he would break the kingdom apart trying to force everyone to have honor. But yes, radiants have no choice of being wrong without terrible personal consequences, but if they start believing the ends justify the means and want to break the oaths to save people, it would be storming hypocrisy to don't do it because one of the people who is going to die is their friend. -
Is it a concept? Well, depends on how you see a concept, but you would probably think it isn't. Is it a force or unseem element? No, but nice guess. Is it a city? No. Is it a continent? No.
-
Is it an object? Depends on how you see it, but I'd say that it isn't. On the biotic question: it isn't biotic.
-
If it has to be living to be a biotic factor, then no, it isn't one.

It exists outside the cosmere It isn't gravity It isn't investiture-based It isn't Hoid It isn't investiture or a shard It is in the physical realm It isn't sentient It isn't alive I am not sure what biotic means, but it isn't biological. Size does not aply directly to it I think it is in first of the sun, but don't know if it appears. It exists here on Earth.

Ok, you can ask. Yes, it is cosmere.

Reshi God Isles?

Is it invested?

"Bad moon rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival for Renarin. Sample lyrics: "I hear hurricanes a blowing. I know the end is coming soon. I fear rivers over flowing. I hear the voice of rage and ruin." "Nemo" by Nightwish for Vin Sample lyrics: "This is me for forever One of the lost ones The one without a name Without an honest heart as compass"

Yes, there is a lot of unexplored potential in Amaram, as there also was in Sadeas during Way of Kings. It is like most authors think that you can only write in black and write and grey and grey. Just because there are good people in your story it doens't mean you have to include completely unforgivable villains instead of despicable people who do have a point, or anti-villains who are on the wrong side for the right reasons. I mean, it is not like Brandon never wrote people like this before, or that there aren't people like this in SA (Mr.T), but I don't get why he didn't make Amaram and Sadeas more like this, by playing the angle of protecting stability by cruel means for selfish ends, but still protecting stability, for Sadeas, and giving Amaram a better justification for what he did, instead of "Restares told me we need shards". And not making he regret his mercy, because that totaly made me lose any interest in the character.

I have excelent memory when I actualy bother paying attention to stuff, am good at abstract thinking, consider myself criative and couldn't lie to save my life. A pity, I would like to be a Lightweaver. Let me see, maybe I could be a Truthwatcher? I like esoteric matters and never speak of what I do if there isn't a reason, and sometimes even if there is, and I am somewhat like Renarin on my more insecure days, althought I am not sure what "Learned" and "Giving" actualy mean in pratice, even if I may fit under some definitions.

No, I learned it from you while I was a lurker but forgot your name probably. Happens all the time, sorry.

Is it a returned Kandra hiding surgebinding fabrials inside his body?

I prefer the theory he is made of what was left of the minds of the spren killed during the recreance. Fits his many faces and his title of "The Protector". Of course, whatever it is it is probably something else, and your theory explains better why it is locked to one location.

Tell that to Gavilar. I'd say he topped Kelsier in after death influence, apparently without even

Elantris is before all current major released works for now. No idea about Emperor's Soul.

What is the "Rock" Hoid was named after? (Way of Kings)
DreamEternal replied to WayneSpren's topic in Stormlight Archive
Wait, that theory already existed? Damnation, here was I thinking I could create something new. -

DreamEternal replied to WayneSpren's topic in Stormlight Archive
IF my theory is correct, and it most likely isn't (BTW, anyone ever asked if hoid is or holds a splinter?), then I presume he wasn't created by a god, but by a extremely acomplished magic user, who perhaps was named Hoid. Also, by what I have heard about Brandon's unpublished works set on Yolen that may or may not be true -

Funny. For me he is TLR without earrings, except he is capable of smiling. -
Dirt does not hurt. Uh, you probably never heard of landslides. Plus, a Highstorm can lift boulders, so I doubt "hugging the ground" will protect you. Honestly, I doubt more than 3% of the Shin survived.
