I like creepy characters. Also, I currently theorize he only cares about the Bands, but only because of their historical value, like an obsessive relic colector.

Wait, what is wrong with magic doing magical things? O_o
-
The problem is that you said you hope VenDell is wrong about something, but the conclusions you draw from what he said were as dependent on your personal interpretation and assumptions as mine were. I was just proposing an alternative reading that allows the Bands to be powerful, long term effective(since it would be more interesting as a demi-god maker than as an one-use weapon), and yet not be capable of making an army of fullborns.

But if TLR's power only got lower while he was storing, then it would be like other feruchemical attributes and tapping the Bands would only give a temporary power increase that would then fade away, making them a one-use trinket.Plus while he didn't say anything about it(my mistake) being either temporary or permanent, so I'd rather believe in the option that gives the Bands greater long-term significance while keeping you from becoming as powerful, if not more powerful than Rashek and gifting those powers to others. EDIT: Also, what makes you think the parts of your spiritweb responsible for allomancy and feruchemy can just grow back to full power if you divide them into two smaller sets of spiritweb fragments and store one of them?

Refusing to save Roshone for petty reasons is the opposite of what a Windrunner should do, you know. Honestly, for my favorite moment... I think it was the Honor Chasm scene, from beggining to end. The despair Kaladin is trapped in, the memories of his father, and how Syl saves him with her innocence...

I know how it does things matters, but saying magic changes the mass of stuff and magic manipulates bosons doens't change the fact there is magic. The fact said magic obeys well defined rules does not change that.

Having the possibility of a sucessor if he dies is different from sharing his powers while he lives. Tap what twice as fast? If storing investiture works the way VenDell says it does, what you propose is like tapping cooper faster to see the future. Plus, my theory on how to make the Bands less extreme relies on nicrosil compounding either not being a thing or only giving a temporary boost.

Random Stuff V - The Adminpire Strikes Back

A death starting a plot is too common in my opinion, just as just a survival starting it. The right way to make a plot from this line is by making it so that there wasn't any danger to her life in first place, find the most dramatic possible reason she thought there was, isolate her from everyone she knows, and give everyone conflicting intermediary goals that lead to the same end goal and all involve her. You can call it "The Idrian Gift" method. -

We celebrate Christmas here at Brazil, you know. -
Magic(why the "k"?) making bosons disappear is still magic doing it.

Wont the spren be able to resist being burned? After all, when a metal burns it is because of Preservation's investiture flowing throught it, so maybe a living spren would be able to push against that investiture or alter the crystaline structure of its solid form as to make burning impossible. Or just stop being solid. I guess this also kinda answers what would happen if someone tried to burn Nightblood: it would just eat the investiture instead of being vaporized.

Ha! You think Rashek would be willing to do such a thing as sharing? Besides, maybe for some reason one cannot compound nicrosil for a permanent power increase, so every new set of Bands would be progressively weaker, and the Bands of Mourning only hold 40% of Rashek's power.

Nothing stops kandra worldhoppers from being cute and mostly innocent. Mostly, since there is an inherent creepyness to kandra that I like. And temporarily stopping Hoid so he finaly gives some straight answers may be a good idea for all we know. -

The girl was dead long ago. She was a kandra worldhopper sent by Harmony to capture Hoid. -
Have we seem anyone storing all their weight? It is a popular assumption, but I think we only have seem people store most of their weight, maybe up to 80%.Plus, storing all your mass breaks physics in a level even greater than changing your mass without changing your size or density.

That is the boring way. It would be more fun if the person who took the bands started to think he was the reincarnation of Rashek, and it was all a plot from the men of red and gold to ressurect TLR. Which would make them the Sliverist Sons of Honor, I guess. So the ghostbloods serve Trell?

That was sarchasm.

If it happened in the universe my books are in, it would most likely be something an ancient wizard bred into a turtle population, and those patterns would be a code carrying frozen imprints of his memories and identity, and the old man would become said wizard after decoding the patterns in his dreams.Honestly, you can take the idea if you want. I have too many ideas and too little dedication to take care of then all. -

What? It can't be too hard to make it scary... *starts to imagine ways to fit scary ideas I had into one of my projects instead of actualy writing it* On turtles, imagine a ghost town on a wandering islang that is a giant turtle god that is slowly dying. Now imagine that turtle winding up in a faraway beach in Alaska to sleep a little. Now make things get weirder. -
Did he? From what I remember, he commited auto-flagellation and sometimes used his scars to make people think he had been imprisioned at the Pits.

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
DreamEternal replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Accidental downvote. On topic, does anyone know who this "lifebrother" is? Szeth calls him a vorin god, so it is most likely a herald.
