We have Jasnah word that Honor spren and Cryptics are basically the lighteyes in the Shardsmere. I can understand the Honor spren, there splinters of the intent of world, and therefore theoretically more powerful, or holding more sway. BUt the cryptics, I do not know why they would have power, my only guess is since there the spren of complex patterns, were not sure what patterns specificly but I think there basically the fractals and fibbinochi sequences on roashar, that they hold power, any ideas people?

Forgery challenge
High prince of geeks replied to High prince of geeks's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
They caught you trying to steal something from the house and are keeping you locked up till you tell them what you are doing. the door is a strong oak with steal reinforcements. no bloodsealers -
I think that either Dalinar or Kalldin, possibly the two working together, would be the leaders of the new KNights Radiant. While they may or may not be seen as such I think Shallen will become the face of the KR to the people. This stems from the fact that pattern states they need more then Kalladin, a fighter, they need her.

Forgery challenge
High prince of geeks replied to High prince of geeks's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Fourteen guards on four hour rotations, two at a time, at least three of them are talkative. You are being held indefinably, and the guards will open the door and talk to you if they want but no observers otherwise. your in the corner room of a rolling estate, and the hall leads to the main complex with more guards. -
Orrginally it would be something like creativity, but the laws of the magic seam far to focused for that. There is to many rules in it for just free creativity. Since the history in this world is extremely different because of different conquests, and the fact that the rithmatist have to work hard to keep the wild chalikings from conquering the world, it may be conquest. This may also explain the strict rules in it, like the rules of war.

I don't think it would help much, it would make working out easier, but I don't think there would be as much muscle growth as there would be if you didn't tap. The only purpose of it would be to impress people watching.

You are a forgery in a medium sized 12ft square room with cobblestone walls, you have access to materials to make 3 stamps. Inside the room there is a small bead that's slightly beat up, writing desk that although cheaply made is taken care of well,. the walls are strong but have no windows, and you are in the corner of the building the door is oak and guarded most hours of the day outside the door is a long hallway. You have to escape, tell me how. or how you got more comfortable. If you have any questions about the room for specifics please ask.

So far for humans with spren we have Kaladin: Syl bonded with him because it was the right thing to do Shallen: Pattern bonded with her to learn Dalinar: The stormfather boned with him because he had to Lyft: Her spren seams downright unhappy to bonded to him The shoemoaker: We never really got an idea why his spren was there Renarin" Don't know Most of these spren don't seem to want to save the world and from pattern and lyft's spren we learn that other sperm probably aren't going to make the nahel bond soon. The only spren so far that I can think of that will try to help might be the Honor spren, and from Syl's conversations with kaladin that she was very different then the rest of the Honor spren. My question is what do any of the spren fain from making the bond anymore besides a promis of death.

I thought of several ways that forgery would be really great for smuggling. First in the books Shia stated that it was nearly impossible to turn lead to gold, but extremely easy to turn gold into lead, I assume that translates to all expensive things. It would be easy to steal a lot of expensive things like jewelry and art works of art, and use forgery to turn it into a collection of really trashy junk, you could easily get this past police or officials looking for what you stole, then bring it to a buyer. Another would be to find a solid wall then use forgery to say that a some smuggler had hollowed a part of it out and used it to hide his stuff, you then hide your stuff in there remove the stamp. The wall would then become solid again and your stuff would supposedly become part of the wall and impossible to find. Please tell me what you think and any other ideas you have.

A pewter ferring can store there physical strength, and Wax has showed us that you can store continuously throughout your life with no problem. Here's my idea, exercise and work out until you are at the very least semi athletic, after that start storing a large amount of you strength away continuously throughout your life. Now most people would just store the strength, and do nothing else, but instead of doing that you start working out in your weakened state until you just as strong as you were before. If your continue this process eventual just not storing your strength would become that equivalent of tapping your strength. Not only would this make tapping your strength extremely powerful, but in case your mettleminds get stolen you aren't left weekend, in fact you'll be stronger.

Greatshells have gemhearts inside them so that they can grow as big as they can. Do Greatshells have to stay out in highstorms so that they will grow larger. And if you were going to try to bread Greatshells could you keep them inside to keep them small, or smaller, to make breeding and training easier then throw them out in a few highstorms and slaughter them after they get big enough.

In the prologue of Way of Kings sezth says that the human body is to pourus a container to hold stormlight well. Large gems seam to be able to hold more longer if there cut they hold more for longer. My question is why is that, and is it possible for there to be a perfect container so you can store is to use on other worlds or during the weeping

Ten fools, heralds, unmade theory
High prince of geeks replied to Dunedub's topic in Stormlight Archive
But in words of raidience it mentions specific fools, and what makes them foolish. Like the one Kalladin compared himself to that talk about things he didn't understand but acted like an expert. I think that the fools are either made up people like fairy tales to teach kids not to be idiots, or when the church wanted to distance themselves from the Knights radiance and began mocking them and calling them traitors and evil, each order of the knights was assigned a particular sin or foolishness. Eventually they split into separate groups of people. -
Could Allomantic mettles be treated as drugs?

Personally I always thought being soothed or rioted constantly would be like being on drugs. -
The most devastating shard weapons
High prince of geeks replied to Fifth of Daybreak's topic in Stormlight Archive
A throwing star would be devastating. With no resistance just throw it through twenty advancing solider the "poof" back in your hands. repeat -
I don't think that Wax would be a skybreaker, while he shows a great mind for justice he disrespects the law far to much. A skybreaker must be completely, and almost creepily, obsessed with the all laws like Sezth. If anything I'd place Wax as a Windrunner and Wayne as a Lightweaver because of his creativity. Yes I do sea his impersonations of people as a art, and think about how a cryptic scholar would enjoy his word play. If anyone were to be a sky breaker I'd have to say Lightsong, and that's a stretch

Nowtech industries would like to announce that the rumors of discrimination against Epics in our work place. Epics our some of our greatest worker, and we have a strict not racial discrimination rule in our offices. All recent incidents of epics having been fired is simply due to the fact that they were frequent disruptions in the workplace. This is not to say that all epics are disruptions, a recent look at the stats shows that humans have only a slightly smaller percentage of public disruptions then there gifted counterparts. We would also like t announce that why we do study epics it is with there full expressed and legal permission, and the discoveries made from theses studies have helped advance humanity.. If you are an epic and would like to help advance humanity please call the number below. -
Most Powerful Knight's Radiant Order?
High prince of geeks replied to Sun's topic in Stormlight Archive
I chose skybreakers because not only do the have the gravity control that make's sezth and kalladin so dangerous. AS well as a yet fully defined surge called division that sounds pretty epic. -
