Well... apparently we may have. But thanks to being able to appear in human form, it's essentially as much of a wild goose chase as the Warbreaker Terriswoman was meant to be. -
Hermalurgy Question: Any perceived differences from Era 1 to Era 2
The One Who Connects replied to OneNastyChull's question in Cosmere Q&A
They didn't design the systems no, but Hemalurgy is of Ruin. Brandon has been quite explicit about this. Additionally, the Law of Hemalurgic Decay is a thing, so even if that isn't because it is derived from the Shard of Entropy, it may as well be the reason. -

I really don't. My "method" is just different from yours, so I remember obscure connections better than others, at the expense of the straightforward ones. This can also come back to bite me, as the key memory here was the conversation about Galladon. With just that information, there is absolutely no way to find this topic. At all.(because the topic isn't about him, the title isn't either, and his name is only mentioned in spoiler tags, which are not valid use for this site's search function(for obvious reasons)) I had to go back through 8 pages of my posts until I saw "Has he now?" and then it clicked. Because I can remember snippets of context here and there -
Portable Elantris
The One Who Connects replied to Faceless Mist-Wraith's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Wasn't on yesterday, gotta bounce back somehow. Honestly: Half of these that I post are unrelated entries that I read while searching for a particular WoB. I just happen to remember old subjects of conversation for longer than I should, so I hunt the topic to fit the WoB, rather than the reverse like the rest of you. -
The Ichor-Alcohol method also contributes to the single breath cost. From Chapter 58:

Have a proper answer. -
Ok, so I was lazy and never searched for it. Terribly sorry, but I've got it now: Here.

This one? As for the maze itself, Pagerunner does have the Reddit WoB Compilation spreadsheet. Also, in searching, I found this one about the order of flashback characters

I don't like this logic because OreSeur used his bones at the end of TFE. I'm not sure Kelsier's "body" still exists, even if his bones did, and that's a question of where the sDNA line gets drawn. Questions which will almost never have answers.. Because it isn't a very Sazed thing to do to a friend(former or current). In a pinch, controlling Marsh and/or Kel might end up having to happen, but it doesn't seem like something that'll happen very much. The other reason is that he already has Marsh on his side, and he's fairly strong in his own right. Held back by his Intent as he may be, I feel that a situation requiring Sazed to directly control a Fullborn and a near Mistborn to deal with something is a situation where he should be able to act more conventionally(ie: his powers).

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
The One Who Connects replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Here is the grand sum of knowledge I have on them: This is the first and only time I have ever heard the name. Also: @Andy92 I found a better WoB that does say not all of the 16 were Human. So for those that aren't human, my 50/50 stands. -

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
The One Who Connects replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
There are 3 races on Yolen. Humans, Dragons and Shodel.(uncertain about Dragonsteel Canon for Shodel) We assume that not all of the 16 were Human, so that's a 50/50 of the non-human one(s) being a Dragon. I'd also put more than just "one" as non-human, because 15/16 being human is bad odds considering... -
Top 10 theories going into Oathbringer
The One Who Connects replied to bdoble97's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think Brandon has said that we will know whether or not he is real Taln by the end of book 3, so I'm basing it off that. Personally, I've never really seen reason to doubt Taln within the books. Brandon's "maybe"s and "are you sure?"s mean little. Key point is that Elhokar and Dalinar were debating before a Desolation. Combine Restare's SoH plants in the Ardentia, Amaram(a known SoH operative) bringing a Herald, and the Everstorm itself, and I think the rest of the Ardentia is gonna come around. If Kholinar is attacked, then Taln has a chance to prove his skills. Even without his Surges, I think he can still devastate a good chunk of the enemy with a common blade or warhammer, and Amaram certainly has the blind faith to let the "Great prince" use his Shardblade if he asks it of him. -

I'm misquoting a different WoB. We don't know if he has yet. However, we know that he can. 9. I'll plug my Lanceryn theory again, which would make Rysn another character who doesn't need to be a KR. I won't say that she won't become one, and Willshaper is a good pick, but I've gotten a bit jaded towards the "everybody and their mother becomes a KR" craze recently. 7. Vivienna and Adolin would be an interesting conversation. The moment when Adolin realizes just what that implies "Zahel" is could be great. 1. You have no idea how happy I am that someone else thinks the same way about his "actions." That is gonna go one of 3 ways. Either they blame the Desolation on Dalinar and the KR, or they accept the help that they can get. Option 3 is both: they reject them, but then Amaram and Taln show up. The Herald of War himself showing up is gonna cause a stir either way, may as well let someone direct that stir. -
What characters would you want to meet each other?
The One Who Connects replied to kiapet's question in Cosmere Q&A
Hoid would be... interesting, to say the least. I'm a little against Elend, but that's mostly because a lot of his development in HoA was about how he was ending up like TLR. I feel the "tempering the edge" angle could just as easily come from one of the others. -
Fair enough. Very good point about the Speed bubbles being the "time travel" we've seen in AoL. We've called them "speed" bubbles so often when they are actually "Time bubbles." Messes us up. Also, in searching for a completely unrelated WoB, I uncovered yet another entry that screws with the time travel discussion. I actually have seen this one before, but it's been centuries and it faded from my mind.

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon

I'm fairly certain that he has said this before. I also remember one(or more) essentially saying that they had two options: 1) rip themselves away from a portion of their Investiture and leave immediately. 2) "Divest" first, spending time absorbing all of their power and then leaving. I cannot find it, and it's infuriating I vaguely remember a WoB about a chicken. Oh... that was about parrot and awakening. I think that since "intent matters" prevents a parrot from awakening, it should prevent power usage. But instinctive burning... hrmm. -
@Melriken Here. Have the timeline I attempted to reconstruct. And this one. Ok, this one needs some explaining. There is a Cosmere Standard for planetary weight and gravity, so it stands to reason that a Worldhopping community like SIlverlight would need a standard "year." Unless Silverlight somehow orbits a planet while in the CR, they need to mark the passage of time in their own way. My biggest assumption is that they used the Rosharan year. We know the most details about the Rosharan timeline, so they are at the root of any timeline reconstruction, so I used theirs. Disclaimer: I know that the standard year should probably be the Yolish one, but nobody save Hoid and Frost should really know that. (meaning that Khriss can't use it. We can use Earth years, and it might be, but..) One last thing, regarding the timeline on Scadrial, they used pre-Ascension calendars during the Lord Ruler's reign. Their adjusted "year" is no different than their current one in the eyes of the people. This combined with the fact that I can't justify the math for the 1K/1,024 discrepancy relative to the altered orbit makes Scadrial annoying(and not in the timelines). The orange text is the basis of all of our problems, and the biggest loophole Brandon has used in a while. His WoBs are not series specific when talking about timeline. Odds are it's an Earth year, but we won't know for sure what his "Cosmere Standard" year is until he tells us.

Zinc doesn't speed up reaction time. As for the lateral leaps, make your assumption around the Ken Jennings reference. Nicroburst, yes. Savant.. maybe, but it's got interference. I doubt it, considering the lines that they can push/pull on are essentially spiritual already. -
It'd actually be.. oh, are we assuming the body he used had access to the Mistborn or Feruchemist powerset already? I wouldn't put it past Kelsier to do just that though. Ruin still had difficulty controlling Marsh with his 22 spikes, and Kelsier would only have 16-17. Yes, he'd be open to Harmony's influence, but that doesn't seem like something Sazed would do to him.

Top 10 theories going into Oathbringer
The One Who Connects replied to bdoble97's topic in Stormlight Archive
I like this one, if only for the potential it brings up in the back 5 books with her son. That said, I must disagree. The Ghostbloods believe Dalinar left Bordin in Kholinar to keep tabs on Aesudan. Aesudan seems unhinged enough that her throwing Bordin out for something minor wouldn't be unreasonable. I feel that the Ghostbloods would have made a move to that end by now if she were part of their game. -
I agree with most all of what you said. My post was originally quite different, but in the process of searching for that time dilation WoB, I found the "time travel" tag and.. you know the rest.
-
So um... The "time travel" tag on Theoryland disagrees. I haven't seen any of these before.
