  1. But that's okay, because his Protagonist Shield means that when he finally does ask her out, she's 700% likely to say yes!
  2. His secondary weakness is having friends at all, because whoever he befriends has a 500% higher chance of becoming a super villain.
  3. Does he also have a protagonist-centered morality field, which makes any decision—regardless of whether another character made a similar one and was condemned for it—good and lovely and moral?
  4. Just Lightwards for now. Everyone else is a bit occupied at the moment. XD
  5. And something just happened to me. I went to upvote a post, and a little window said "You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day." If you feel like raging against the machine and asking HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE TO PLACE A QUOTA ON POSITIVE FEELINGS IT DOESN'T OKAY, then I think I know how you feel, Kobold. Boo.
  6. No. Minor Epics and cannon fodder Epics are still allowed. Heavy-hitters similar to those already in play are the only ones restricted.
  7. I like it. Sounds good.
  8. It'd be pretty difficult to find a spot for a new Epic, since the alliances are pretty much set and it would be hard to figure out a plausible way to get them to join up. Right now, I'd say new players are welcome, but human characters only. Maybe there'll be an opening for a new Epic later on when things start to go downhill, but right now I think human characters are the only ones that can be plausibly added to the RP. On the bright side, once Funtimes and Nathan head back to Tillamook, I plan to set some things in motion that will make joining as a human character more exciting and less depressing.
  9. Kobold: Yes. Just make an Epic for every one of Superman's more ridiculous Silver Age powers. Like…. Voiceover: Super ventriloquism Post-Calc: Super mathematics Arachne: Super weaving Sleepy Time: Super hypnosis Obey: Super telepathic will control Trimmer: Super landscaping Flex: Super muscle control Costumer: Super makeup I did not make a single one of those up. I swear by the Lord Ruler.
  10. I think giving everyone their own lists would be better. That way, if a player wants to adopt a character, they'll know who to ask for permission if needed.
  11. I'm okay with it, but I say wait until Edge has a chance to post and orient Ray and Nighthound before PP makes his entrance. And ask him when he gets back if he's all right with it.
  12. I think that song is the default sound her brain goes to when there's nothing interesting to think about. Kind of like hold music. We can call him the "Namer of Names." He will quickly annoy Lightwards by walking into a room and greeting everyone by name in a deep, booming voice that shakes the walls. He will become Funtimes' best friend for the same reason.
  13. I found another song for Remington. Simple Man Also, will this song describe Alice in the future?
  14. WHERE IS THE GIANT DINOSAUR-HOARDING HEDGEHOG? I DEMAND A GIANT HEDGEHOG!
  15. I also have none. (What is the proper conjugation here? Is there one? Or is it one of those weird English things where nothing is right OR wrong, but it all sounds wrong?) I am also with Kobold in feeling sorry for the poor mouse-Epic. Dramatic re-enactment of his thought process: I am a mouse, I am going through the museum, I am about to sneak up on those Epics and— Wait. I smell something. It smells like….like…. WHAT THE CRAP IS THIS????? AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  16. Everyone's weakness is Taco Bell. Best to just stay away.
  17. What if you go up against him and try to fail? Will that thwart his Murphonic Field, or will you simply fail at failing (which is probably the saddest thing I can think of)?
  18. Both versions of that song are perfect. And yes, Edgedancer. Yes it can. Oh, well. We don't call 'em the Wacko Brigade because they're the portrait of sanity. Though most of them are fairly smart.
  19. We really need to get back on our game.
  20. “Hello, Traveller. I see your taste in women is as questionable as always. Funny how both of us picked up new pets, although from the face you are making you don´t seem to be all that happy with yours.” A girl in a dog collar. Even for an Epic—even for you—that's pretty sick. That was what Nathan wanted to say to the Epic holding the squirming, struggling girl, whose collar he had glimpsed before he grabbed her from behind. No means no, you slontze. Another thing he wanted to say but never would. She kicked at his legs and tried to land an elbow in his ribs, though Nathan was sure she knew it would do no good. Funtimes had drenched him in acid and he was still well enough to find himself a new "pet." Her glare softened slightly when she met his gaze. "Please tell me you hate this guy as much as I do." Acid. Here was a chance to make a good impression and perhaps gain an ally. Not a powerful one like Nighthound, but barring a miracle, Nighthound would never be their ally. Nathan smiled, cupped a hand around his mouth, and called through the rooms without breaking eye contact. "Darling! Nighthound has a new suit!" "Ew!" Her reply echoed a bit, muffled by distance. "I don't want to see him naked again! What else do we have?" "There's plenty of rubble here." "Ooooohhhhhh!" She veered around the bend, her Converse sliding on the part of the floor that had not yet become grass. After skidding to a stop, she jumped and clapped her hands. "I'll cover him in exploding gummy bears!" Nathan laughed, though the thought of seeing that much mangled flesh—for the instant before dark mist obscured it—turned his stomach. "He brought a friend, dear." "She looks fun!" Funtimes pranced forward and, before Nighthound could stop her, fluffed her hands through the girl's hair. "It's so pretty! Like Traveler's, only girly and awesome!" She pulled back and clapped her hands, squealing with glee. "Are you fun? Do you like chimichangas? What's your name?"
  21. Remington is a bit deeper into the museum and the two women are close to Nathan near the front.
  22. I think so. Any objections?
  23. I like it. He's kind of a cross between a minor Epic and a major one--his powers are good enough to put him ahead of Hotwire or Big Al, but limited enough that he won't be a major player. And personality wise, he sounds just ridiculous enough to be really entertaining.
